How Ex-SpaceX Engineers Are Fueling The Space Race With Firefly
wow never seen anybody try THIS HARD to get Firefly back on the air!
At least Firefly actually has some balls and launch their rocket intended to go to orbit.
I don't think the market is big enough to support all these small rocket start ups. Be wary, only a couple will make it.
when i saw the numbers plus costs. i realized how space x is an absolute dominating force in space industry
The fact that an engine failure happened and it adjusted and still flew true says something to me. It’s not gonna be much but they’ll have my money once they’re public.
Elon Musk actually encourages this kinda competition
Elons Ex employees are pushing the future. Ex model S executive now ceo of lucid.Ex employees now Rivian and now Ex spaceX engineers firefly use to get more respect when you said you were an Ex apple engineer now it's SpaceX and TESLA 🔥🔥
SpaceX showed that a private space company could be successful
Nice to see the brains behind SpaceX are now branching out on their own!! A big positive for the industry.
I’m rooting for this Phoenix. Godspeed Firefly!!!
Wish they would cover more on Rocket Lab, honestly farther ahead than Firefly and Elon even acknowledged them on Twitter.
This is sooooooooo exciting to me, Ive always loved space exploration. And the fact that I will probably be able to witness humans going to mars (and beyond) in the near future is making me feel so so special and thankful.
The more competition there is the better for humankind
Best name and logo, respect to these guys
$62m is if you throw the rocket away. You have to amortize cost over all launches and IIRC SpaceX is already reliably getting >5 launches per booster
Astra finally managed to reach orbit yesterday! Excited to see Firefly join the table. :)
competition breeds innovation.
Reaper engine? I see how this company has balls to reflect off the famous Firefly-Serenity Sci-Fi series. Best of Luck to y'all.
The level of human ingenuity and innovation is just incredible
In the future Firefly Aviation is going to be the Cricket Wireless or prepaid spaceflight LOL
