I do feel like Reef or Billy Frampton have to be in the side, it is way too short of a back line and you can't rely on howe to cover that second key forward. I know there's so much talk about this but I still think cox should be in the team. Of course, his height does a lot, and gets teams nervous in the forward line. But an underrated part of what he does is because he is so tall in the ruck, Collingwood use him as a first Ruckman over Darcy Cameron. He is very good at making a ruck contest 50/50 even against someone like Gawn. Allowing DC to come in and dominate over any team's second Ruck. I feel like that is very underrated in what Collingwood do and why DC had such a fantastic season he did. The amount of times where DC started on the bench was crazy considering you'd think cox is the second ruck.
Sidey is in. Played brilliantly as a shut down mid on A graders late last year. Very versatile and can still run all day. Frampton i think will only play if there is a need for a big backman. Reef i think will play game 1 at CHB. Tall, athletic, super quick.
Backline hasn’t been the same since we lost Nathan Murphy. He not only did his job so well, but he allowed others (particularly Darcy Moore) to be more free and attacking.
I think there’s a few players that will be used depending on who we’re playing. Mason Cox, Reef, Frampton in particular will probably be in and out of the side all year, but are likely to also get chances to cover for injuries. Lipinski probably stiff. If he finds form he’ll play a lot of games.
Love it but realistically no way we don’t include another defensive tall. Have always played the 3 talls down back in the Macrae era to free up Moore to intercept. Hence, I’d put Reef or Dean in and personally I’m taking out Sidebottom who I think is old and slow. Agree otherwise!
Not the biggest fan of Frampton but he did shut down Charlie Curnow convincingly. Tom Mitchell is another who will be in contention if he can overcome his injuries.
Tom Mitchell if fit plays a big role, Harvey Harrison will come back from injury and be a huge contributor. Ned Long will get some games and the biggest X factor of all is whether Ash Johnson can find form.
Nothing personal towards you or Ash Johnson, but has he ever had form? When he does good things he looks a million dollars but he performs way too infrequently. I feel likes he’s fools gold at this point.
Not sure you guys realised that 20 or so of the best 23 at at physical or nearing physical peak. That’s a hardcore no bullshit team. The age thing is weighted heavily due to 4 guys 34 or older. BTW those 4 are still best 23 not because there’s no one else. Pies will be hard to beat.

Back line are not tall enough. I expect to see Frampton in place of Allan.

Probably fall a bit short but you never know.
