If VBAN streams aren't being detected on the stream PC, 99% of the time, Windows Firewall is blocking the streams. Whitelist Voicemeeter in the settings ( you need to be logged into Windows as admin).
I'm having problems with my game pc audio being picked up, I just got a new PC and I did everything the same that I did on my old pc but it wont work for some reason

I'm pretty sure this is causing the issue for me as well... I'm trying to get it working over WIFI. Sending to my phone works no issue but sending computer to computer dh any signal. It shows "Stream Detected" though...
Yes tatsächlich right and today I did it again and this time it's works. But I don't get how I can get more cable a b c d because your virtual is more than my and I can't do the same I think. But now it's works and all fine only 1 think I don't know, if I A1 in the alert to hear the alerts , I hear the game what I stream double ans this is bad.... I don't know how I can solve it. @@tw0fac3tv26 You have to buy and download those cables. Your game audio is getting looped back through to the A1 somehow.

This is the only guide that worked very well for me, I got my second pc to stream and i was STUCK for about 2 weeks, but with this guide it took me literally an hour to get everything working, thank you so much for the very clear guide, you sir deserve more subs ♥
If you don't see the green indicator light, you have to allow the app through your firewall. I ran into this trying to send the OBS Alerts.

One thing I'd like to share for anyone watching, if you're having an issue with the green box showing not up next to your incoming on VBAN, check your windows firewall settings! That fixed it for me.
IF ANYONE HAS ISSUES WITH VBAN NOT DETECTING INCOMING STREAMS, MAKE SURE YOU ALLOW VB-AUDIO TO PASS THROUGH WINDOWS FIREWALL. Couldn't figure out why my stream PC to game PC wasn't working and eventually figured out it wasn't allowed through my firewall on my game pc.

Thanks for the updated version of this! Pretty easy to follow, and thank you for the tip about Windows adjusting the voice settings. My audio was sounding terrible to everyone on discord, and sure enough voicemeeter was set to 8000 instead of 48000!

So everything was working perfectly except for the streamlab alerts. When I set everything up as followed in the video, there was no signal in OBS when I tested my alert notifications. Voice meter was able to pick up the signal in the video but OBS couldn’t pick up the audio when I was test streaming it. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Where you able to fix this? nvm I was able to fix this by changing the default playback device

I had the same issue, he misses that part on the video. I used a digital cable just as he explained in the video but passing Discord through it. My problem is the audio from discord mess up frequently and I don't know how to fix it rather than hitting refresh audio

I see your videos occasionally passing by on UA-cam. Quite frankly, I was not even subscribed. Changed that today! Can I just point out how much respect I have for you taking the -insane- amount of effort to deliver a professional presentation as clearly as you do for people? @@FrugalStreamer I did have one question though! For the discord, it is sent from the game PC to the Stream PC. But I didn't catch on as to why that would be the case. And I didn't see how SLOBS would handle it or how I would hear it. I got it to work on my end though, just wanted to see if there was a better way to do it.
Game PC. That way, games that allow you to select your mic, you can use instead of Voicemewter output. You can send it over VBAN to any input channel and out to OBS via audio input capture.

Its just amazing that Elgato has 'Sound Capture' but the only thing it wont do is take your mic input and send it to the stream PC.
Dude...I've been fighting setting up my two-PC streaming for days pulling my hair out. Nobodies videos seemed to cover my exact problems because I've got a slightly different setup than others seem to be using. And they were definitely not set up this well, they couldn't seem to refer to which PC as gaming or streaming, just calling both "your PC" or "your computer" or skipping steps or other things. This was a joy to watch and follow along with, like a school lesson about something I'm actually trying to actively use right now and wanted to learn lol Thank you very much, keep it up.

Super useful video, I spent almost whole day trying to set up all audio by myself - if I would've find this tutorial earlier or had an idea what software I need, I would've probably save some time to test all setup in action :) Amazing tutorial and nicely explained for beginners, to understand how software actually works. I ordered this Elgato HD60 Pro capture card, and finally I made use of my old PC (based on 2nd gen Intel cpu) - Audio is the biggest headache in all of it, and even worse if audio devices goes through USB. I'm using voicemeeter potato and this guide was very easy to follow. I learned a lot so if I ever need to change anything I should be able to but if I get stuck I will always come back to this video. You deserve a lot more subscribers, I hope your channel blows up!!

i got confused at some points and missed a few things lol. the vban stuff had to be the correct names. that got me stuck for bout 30mins. LOL. in the end it took me 2 hours, but it got done. thank you very much. super useful!
I only have 1 PC but I've used VM as well as VM Banana but I have now upgraded to VM Potato, Potato comes with 2 more inputs compared to banana and having 5+ inputs on a single PC is beautiful.

Please watch to the end of the video! I made the mistake of stopping before he mentioned that you need to add audio sources into SLOBS so I was getting frustrated that I wasn’t seeing the audio levels change. I completely uninstalled/reset voice meter 3 times and nothing ever changed. I finally kept watching and saw that step and all my problems were solved. Also note that you don’t need to pay for the virtual audio cables for this to work. Amazing tutorial though. Just mad at myself for being lazy and not finishing the video.
My sound used to transfer from a computer to another with the elgato hd60s, for some reason the sound stopped transferring and i spent a few days fiddling with it to no avail. came across this tutorial and honestly this has been the most helpful tutorial ever, i finally got my stuff to work and i can stream again, i really appreciate it

The Frugal Streamer Question? With this set up, I could not get Discord audio to be heard in the stream. I was playing Among Us and no one on the stream could hear the Discord conversation. My set up is currently identical to the video. What do I need to do to get Discord audio over to my streaming PC and into the stream via OBS??
