I’ve been living in Kailua condo for 10 years and I think it’s great. I hardly ever go to the South side but I must say some of these new buildings look great. I think loads of mainlanders will be looking hard at Hawaii very soon. Don’t forget Kailua, it’s fantastic place. My condo doesn’t need aircon and I don’t need a car.
@@JoelScherNY it’s Poinciana manor. There are 7 condo complexes all in the same street Aoloa St, aka Kailua gardens. I think Poinciana and gardenia manor are the best 2, but all good. The high rise windward passage is popular but be sure to check about forthcoming possible assessments for repairs etc. if you come let me know. Alan.
The hurricane insurance rates are outrageous now. Think through your decision to buy a condo right now unless you are okay with wasting several thousand dollars a year for nothing. Also, some of these newer condos have issues. Do your due diligence: review HOA reserves, meet with the building manager, and speak with both new and long-term owners. The "Landmark" is probably one of the best built condominiums on the island.
Great information, Scott!
Thanks Mark
