Holy smokes the cleans our way better on the 25 when one do I get? the only thing I would be missing is the variac mode of course the amp has to keep up with a full band also the fireball 25 does and all the other many amps I don't see why this wouldn't
@TONE WARS well it seems like all the research I've done they say it will keep up with the full band just like my other lunch box amps i shouldn't see a problem
I think I actually surprisingly like the 25W the most the mids are a little more focused and sounds just tighter both are crushing though I’d like to see between the 25 and 50w version
Awesome comparison of both amps Jarrod🎸😊. Mesa's new release amps are going to sound a tad different now. They are now using "Illinois brand capacitors" in their builds and repairs. BMI Mesa (Blue) capacitors are being phased out quickly due to supply shortage. As Mike Bendinelli (guru) at Mesa told me as he has my 1984 Mark II C+ amp on his bench for maintenance as we speak. The world is changing..! Cheers my friend 👍
Hey Tony, thanks for commenting. I'm glad you liked the video. I hope those new parts don't change things too much. Let me know how your repair goes and how you like your amp when you get it back. Always good to hear from you
You night owl...lol 👍 Will let you know how the Mark II C+ sounds when shipped back to me from Mesa in a week or so. It's definitely bin a challenge with Mesa this week. I had to order capacitors from Tennessee and have them shipped to Mesa in California so Mike can recap my amp properly with the original capacitor values as factory. Then ship back to me in Vancouver Canada...lmao! Oh goodie...duty and taxes on top for the maintenance repairs..haha
How is the headroom of the 25-watt version at band volumes? I know Mesas aren't huge on power amp gain, but just curious. Especially with the clean channel.
Brother i appreciated this video because im in the middle of return😅ng my 25 watt and getting the 100 but i think im keeping the 25 if i can still sounded as fine as 100 in bedroom setting. anyway if u have another video of comparing them in different cab i would be thankful again.. great job !
Thank you very much. I honestly think that either way you're making a good decision. It's a great sounding amp, whether it's the 25 or the 100 W. I wish I could do some more comparisons with it but I had to take it back to the store already. Let me know what you end up getting
That was a great comparison in details has always! I have the 50 watt and I’m really enjoying it, just need to switch to 6L6. Good job 👍
Thank you.

If you end up getting one, let me know if it keeps up with a ban.

Shockingly close for 25% of the wattage! Great video brother!🤟😎🤟
great comparison !!Thanks for the education
The 25 watt has only el-84 power tubes too

Great comparison!
Great video and fantastic playing, as usual. Were the settings identical throughout the sound samples? Or did you tweak to get them to sound similar?
Thank.you. the settings were exactly the same throughout the video
Great video if I get a chance someday I will get a dual rectifier that's the one I want 😀 thanks Jarrod.
Making my G.A.S. for this amp worse the more I watch these shootout videos!
I use 33/dirty tree pedal with my 25watts for some reason im digging it haha both sound awesome that i have to comment again. after watching.
I.love the Pepers Dirty Tree

Allright Jarrod let's get er done 😆
If you could only choose two amps out of your entire collection. Which two amps would you keep?
That's really a tough 1. It really depends on the day.
Today? Stealth, Leviathan
Tomorrow, Revv, EVH EL34
the 25 sounds a little rounder to me... a little more pleasing to my ear when there was no OD in front.
Sounds too sterile, overly compressed or something... my ears are not agreeing with the Badlander sound.
