Do you remember lying in bed With your covers pulled up over your head? Radio playin' so no one can see =D that's poetry and it was created from the heart!!!
Rock n roll puro, hecho por tipos que amaban el Rock n roll y por sobre todas las cosas amaban su música, que a simple escucha parece simple pero no lo es.
It was in France. You can find the entire show if you search The Ramones live @ Théatre de l’Empire 1980. It's several songs long and availble here on youtube.
I wish the studio version would have been like this. More rock and roll, less of Phil Spector's marching band and wall of sound. Spector ruined End of The Century. Thank goodness Ed Stasium is redoing it.
@CowmanFriend Rick Rubin worked on it too. It's been done since 2020 but it's been delayed time and time again. Target had it listed on their website in 2022 but that was the last I heard of it possibly coming out.
I had no idea that phil spector was behind the album version. I was always eh on this one. The horn section..I always thought - what were the ramones thinking here? But it makes sense now. I'm surprised people kept working with Phil throughout the years. He had a history of butchering masterpieces. This version is much more powerful and I dig it so much more.
Which brings us to the whole question of "is it real if some producer slathers lots of crap on top of the actual work of the actual band?" I like to blame the enthusiastic response of the audience here. There's one kid in the front row, you see him at the end "oh, there was a band?"
You know why I didn't write the common before but I'll answer to why because in this live version the guitar jazz not to what he did on the studio version which is my favorite part of the song is the Dan delay delay delay delay the little licks busy few little licks in the song and that just doesn't go right with me because when I listen to the song came out those are my favorite parts of the song there's a little guitar licks and he does not do one of them just the same chords without the licks that's like with the rolling Stones I was always critical without Keith didn't do certain things slide that he did on the studio album. If he did those little licks this would have been Head over heels better. It's like again with the stones like It Keith Richards didn't do backup vocals log that he did on the studio out of Harrison I'd say screw this cuz that's what what I want to hear that's why I like the song not cuz of the words
I do voice texting so there's some mistakes in there I'm sure you can figure out what what it was what they mistakes was supposed to be but those little licks made the song for Meghan they're just not there
This is REAL Rock and Roll!!

Always good song
Joey genio y figura
The album version of this song is one of my least favorites by the Ramones, but the live versions are amazing to listen to. So raw and powerful!
Good energy
Grandesssssssss
ロックンロール最高👍💘👏
Greatest version of this song ever! Anyone who likes the studio version better is a snowflake.
someone wake up the crowd...
サイコー、最高、さいこう、グレート。
Son punk de los mejores
Anyone know where this show was recorded? The crowd isn't moving much except for the mod vibing on Dee Dee.

So weird without the brass section

Mi padre de 80 años le pongo los seguros pistolx y me dice que quité esa mierda en cambio pongo los ramones y como conoce algunos temas no dice nada
Never thought I would say this. The studio version is a bit better.

Why? This version is much more punk sounding than the album one
