Thank you, Michael. I appreciate the great content you continue to provide - especially of the latest releases. Analogue Productions rarely disappoints. Of the 60 or so I purchased this year, only their first Diana Krall either had an issue they couldn’t fix or a pressing issue on one song. Otherwise, consistently high quality through the years. Happy New Year!
Seasons greetings Michael. Hope you had wonderful Christmas. Haven’t received my Genesis AP yet delayed due to the holidays no less. ATOTT 7th studio album takes us back to Nursery Cryme & Foxtrot days . A stunning record. The original is a beauty but it needs to be in perfect condition. The cover art reflects the music perfectly. The Ap 75 45rpms are a marriage made heaven for these prog rock masterpieces. Cool review & video Michael All the very best for 2025
This was a transitional period for Coltrane. He had just left Miles Davis (April 1960) and was about to record on the Impulse! label in 1961. With Impulse! he was particularly busy and his quartet in large demand. The album belongs more to Milt Jackson who was the session leader. It seems like there was some record deal stories: Coltrane had just left Atlantic, but his name was getting big & bigger, and Atlantic gave more importance to Coltrane's name in the first release, 1961, two years after the 1959 recording date.
Have you been able to use the vinyl storage solutions jacket covers on the Atlantic 75th series albums? The jackets for the series have been too small for me to use them.
Loving all these Analogue Productions Genesis´ albums that I have received. One small thing that also applies to Rhino High Fidelity albums such as (Black Sabbath´s 1st album). They all come with thick cardboard sleeves which makes it very difficult to put the vinyl record (180gr) back in the album cover. I have plastic outer sleeves for all albums (though I will need to source slightly bigger ones for these particular albums). Therefore I store all the vinyl discs in their inner sleeves between the gatefolds, rather than in their usual location. It works ok but putting the vinyl album back in the outer sleeve as per standard, would be preferable. Maybe in the future they will address this.
Usually, I'm not a fan of remasters, as i feel they're changing history. In 2007, they remastered Trick and Wind and Wuthering. I love those versions, they brought out things that were buried in the mix, and added proper eq. I had Trick on Mofi vinyl back in the day, but the 2007 versions are much better. I wish they'd do the 2007 remasters on mofi vinyl
If im being really fussy then i'd say the title should replace John Coltrane with Milt Jackson as Coltrane accompanied Milt on this record as opposed to the other way round. It IS indeed an essential jazz record imho, played and recorded very nicely indeed! I have the ORG 45rpm set and its AMAZING. I preferred the ORG 45 set of Coltrane Plays the Blues to the AP 75th 45 set of said album so im expecting the same here. Bernie Grundman is my favourite mastering engineer and he always seems to maximise the potential of anything he gets his hands on. I dont think ive heard a single bad egg from him which is unique as even KPG does get a few wrong (imho again). The Genesis Trick set is a reference reissue for sure. The records sound amazing and the matte leather look/texture jacket is so lovely to embrace 😊
Unfortunately, I can't listen to Milt Jackson very well. Unfortunately, I have the original Genesis. Why don't you make any more record playing videos? Greetings from the Westwood 😂😊
Talking about the collaboration of milt and John. If you have a look on milt Jackson, it looks like a common behavior. He has a lot of collaborations and most of them only happened once!
Michael mach mir mal ein eine half Price Möglichkeit um mich mal von deiner Qualität zu überzeugen. Ich liebe Genesis und mag deine streams Würde mich freuen über ein Genesis Album was ich bewerten kann Danke Michael
I watched interviews with both Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins who both denied any animosity in the band. Peter simply left Genesis because of family matters.
These releases look outstanding. Love Donny Hathaway. Underrated.
The latest Atlantic 75 series is excellent, and I have been critical listening to each..Great dynamics, soundstage, and pure enjoyment !
I always look forward to your videos. Keep them coming 2025.

Does the same quality of Reissue exist for the Gabriel period like lamb lies down and Selling England?
Yes, and both are stellar.
I think 50 years from today, people will still be talking about this great Atlantic 75 series!
Oh and Coltraine without this ugly piano playing in Love Supreme is maybe worth another try.
