DUNE was amazing. It's still one of the best SCI-Fi movies ever made in my opinion. And Virginia was amazing in it. I don't think it was a failure at all. The only true crit I have of that movie is that it was too short for the amount of information they had to present. It's a shame they didn't split it into a three parter, like The Hobbit. When a movie of this magnitude has only an hour and a half of footage, all the characters suffer. You can only develop a character within a few minutes, and so the audience cannot empathize with the characters enough.

Even the Weirding sound modules! Those were my favourite. I mean, how sci-fi is that! Making sound equivalent to a form - Sound being a destructive force rather tha nthe usual pew! pew! pew! lasers. I thought they just nailed it!
I remember being a teenager and seeing her in Candyman and thinking she was just so hot, and look at her body etc. But when I saw her in Sideways her character made me want to find a woman with as much passion as Maya. She made me want to be with a woman, not just a sex pot. But God is she gorgeous! Haha!
i love her Chris Walken stoner story because I found myself at a red light on La Brea and Sunset near the Thrifty and who crosses the street but Chris Walken wearing Addidas jogging pants and wearing one of those hats from the 60's (a la MadMen) and licking a double scoop as if he were making out with it... no one believes me but I was positive it was him back then and now I'm double scoop sure of it now
Good show. Not sure about 1980's pop being crap. Unless MJ, Prince, Springsteen, Phil Collins, Madonna, Whitney etc are crap. Then yeah, you're right, it was pretty much crap.
Virginia doesn't show up until 20 minutes in, for anyone who wants to skip the intro blather by Kevin and cohorts
Such a smart, unpretentious, and talented woman. I saw Candyman when I was still a kid and have been a fan of hers ever since.

The new Dune is only half way done but its way better then the original Dune movie.
