    For the bar sliding and flipping when you put the weights on - all you need to do it reverse the bar on the rack. Flip it downward while you load the weight then flip it back up when you're going to lift.

    • @illestdomer2005
      @illestdomer2005 4 роки тому +3

      That was my question, too. Without owning any of these, I am actually surprised it didn’t flip down on its own rather than slide off. That said, if there weren’t a workaround for the slide, that would be a dealbreaker for me.

    • @NickSiekierski
      @NickSiekierski 3 роки тому +1

      @@illestdomer2005 I was thinking this too, but the angle of the bar where it sits might make it awkward or even dangerous to rotate a full 180 degrees with weight. It may be enough to angle the top curve 90 degrees away from the rack for loading.

    Solid take. I have a Titan review that also includes Does it Suck... pretty funny that's where our minds tend to go with them. Haven't used it but based off what I've heard, I think this is likely a good option for someone who wants to get in on it. The other bars are far nicer, but much more pricey. Chances are a person would not use this as much as a regular bar so doesn't make sense to drop big bucks IMO.

      Haha that's the question I get and you probably do to. "Coop, does this suck as much as x?" Thankfully, this one doesn't suck. Was pleasantly suprised and I'll actually throw it in a bit because it does feel different from the Duffalo due to the larger arc.

    I returned this bar. I really didn't like the dicy loading (in a T-6 rack)... Also it wasn't as comfortable as I'd think it would be... maybe it's the more aggressive curve than the dufflo. I really didn't like the extremely light knurling and my finish was faulty. Just know that if it doesn't come right, Titan will take it back. Keep your box till you're sure about it. In general, I'm happy with my titan equipment.

  • @mach5jeep
    @mach5jeep 5 років тому +4

    A few things I must say. I purchased this bar they day it dropped on ebay. It was on ebay before it was on Titan's site which I found odd.
    First of all I have a Titan T3 rack w/sandwich J-cups and didn't have the sliding issue that you had loading the bar. That's a good thing and unfortunately the last good thing I can think of.
    The knurl is almost nothing. Worthless.
    It behaves like a cambered bar by pulling you forward. I think this is important because a lot of people are buying this because they have shoulder injuries and still want to low bar squat. This does NOT replicate a low bar squat. If you already have a cambered bar or yoke there's no need to purchase this.
    The first bar they sent me was bent incorrectly. The sleeves are supposed to point slightly upward at the ends and mine only did on one side. The other side pointed down. It was visible to the naked eye and proven with a level in a perfectly level rack.
    I always have good luck with thier customer service and this was no different. I was given an RA number the the fedex guy picked it up the next day. Three days later I had my replacement bar. Not bad, Titan.
    This one was slightly better. It at least looked correct to the naked eye and the level was close enough for government work. It was only a degree or two off at the most. Nothing to complain about. But what I did notice is a huge amount of play in one of the sleeves. Upon closer inspection I could see that the brass bushing was different on that side. The center opening was much, much larger in that side's sleeve. I thought this was an odd screw up. Why would they even have a bushing that large to begin with? Then I figured it out! The 2nd bar was also bent incorrectly and using the correct bushing would have caused the sleeve to bind on the bar and not rotate. Sneaky bastards. They purposely sent me a 2nd bar knowing it was incorrect. I then decided to return that bar and get a refund. Which to their credit they did promptly.
    So buyer beware. This is still Titan and still subject to Titan quality standards.

I know that’s probably a dumb question I’ve just never seen anybody press with one of these. To me I think I would prefer it over a straight bar just because of shoulder mobility. Thanks as always.

    • @The513Warning
      @The513Warning 5 років тому +1

      I would guess the rounding of the bar would allow you to go a little lower than a straight bar. It would probably be a little easier on your wrist too. Only way to find out is to try. Some strongmen press with a trap bar, so break the standard and give it a try.
