You know, this is actually pretty interesting. We've only ever seen the Sangheili as these noble warriors, full of resolve, but we never consider what all the death and destruction does to them. I mean, imagine killing hundreds of thousands of innocent beings. Sure, it was for a good reason but still, that's gotta take its toll on the mind. I would not be opposed to this topic being explored if they do end up havung Arbiter and Rtas in the game; to see them talk about their remorse for the attrocities they've committed in the name of false prophets who lied and manipulated them
In the books there are a few stories where that is brought up, most of them had no remorse until they learned the great journey was a lie. I think there was one shipmaster who went to a planet they had personally glassed looking for answers about the things they've done but it's been a while since I read it.
