Frank goes head-to-Head against Chuck in Dead Rising 2: Off The Record.
Yup, Chuck is actually the first psycho boss in the game!!!
And if you're wondering "why", Off The Record is a "what if..." retelling of the Dead Rising 2 story with Frank instead of Chuck, so it's not anything to do with DR2.
Oh, and if you're having trouble beating him, the trick is to have him charge you whilst infront of a wall, so he gets stuck (if you can get him stuck in the utility room, then even better) then attack him with either the nail/baseball bat combo weapon, or especially the garden rake/car battery combo weapon, that does tonnes of damage.

Chuck dissapearing is kind of an Easter egg, as Chuck "Died" he dissapeared as he loaded his last save or the game reconizes this as an Paradox, as Chuck Greene is MEANT to save everyone alive.

@@chromecanman After you beat all the other psychopaths, they stay in the same spot they died in the cutscene when you go back to the game. But for chuck, he disappears, which is referencing dead rising 2 where you play as chuck and when you die you load up your last saved game.
The entire sequence is a complete metafiction, I mean it even occurs in Chuck's speech. I mean wouldn't that be that peak mindset of someone who decided to play a Dead Rising game?
Katie isn't dead, she's one of the main characters in Dead Rising 3.
This is a "alternative story" a what if... scenario.

Because this is Off The Record which was originally planned to have different storyline with different endings but they just replaced Frank over Chuck in most of the parts of the game.
Laziness overcomed their minds, that's all.
+xXSilentAgent47Xx I would've liked if they did more to change it, I mens yeah, 3 new bosses, different area, twists in story but still it got predictable and it was weird when the new lines didn't fit the Dead Rising 2 animations or Frank's face was moving like Chuck's during some cutscenes.

I see this as an alternate route from Case Zero. In this timeline, Chuck fails to save Katey in Case Zero, and, being completely broken, still competes in Terror Is Reality to get money for the medicine. He says that Frank wants to keep her from getting her Zombrex, like Jed from the end of Case Zero, who wanted to kill Katey because she was infected, despite Chuck reliably being able to get her Zombrex on time.
I shed a tear a bit seeing Chuck like that.. He was always my favorite Dead Rising Character

@@ethanblair7351we dont have as much as a connection with clint like we do with chuck. Chuck was the main protagonist in 2 and the main reason he did all these things was for katey so yes its understandable why it makes the most sense to feel bad for chuck more than clint

After you play Dead Rising 3 after playing this, you realise how ironic this scenario is.
This is Off The Record, a non-canon retelling of DR2. In OTR Katey was killed at the start of the outbreak, which broke Chuck and made him a psychopath, looks like he's in denial of Katey's death and thinks the doll is her.
He means, that DR3's Chuck looks much like his psychopath version.

It is considering Katey reached at older age and she felt like she was a burden her dad has to put himself in harm’s way endlessly to keep herself supplied with Zombrex, which resulted her into running away from home. After that, Chuck did nearly lost his mind, but not entirely since he hired Gary to do a job for him into finding Katey. He was close to putting Gary down for disobeying his orders, but when Gary found Rhonda, Chuck lets him live his life one more time since Gary founded his purposes in life. But hey, good news is that Katey’s destined lover turns out to be the cure that can help regain her life back she once lost after her zombified mother bit her. And also, Chuck now doesn’t have to worry about Katey cuz not only will she be cured, but now, she founds the perfect man for her life. So, all the hard work he did in Dead Rising 2 and the two cases that follow helped pay it all off.

Its really amazing how this feels to watch, i love Frank as a character, but Chuck grew on me alot and i love him as well, its just so freaky to see Chuck in this way and as a psychopath
it's sad because it's just like the hatchet man.
Yeah, this is a lot like Cliff's death though Cliff at least comes back to his senses. Chuck and Ted are the two psychopaths I feel the most sorry for in this game. It makes me sad that none of the psychopaths in the sequel purposefully make you feel sorry for them. Zhi is kinda sympathetic after you beat him, but his death is a little too funny. The same goes for Jherii. Kenny's pathetic, but at least he lives. (*spoilers*) Diego doesn't die after you beat him. You feel bad for him when he dies later, but it's mostly for the sake of horror rather than being tragic like here.

She did die in this game but this game in non canon so she's actual still alive
She's still alive, if you get Ending S on Dead Rising 3 it reveals that Annie was Katey all along and Chuck helps you stop Hemlock. (He doesn't help in the boss fight though.) but Chuck did lose Katey for 2 years as Chuck admits that he has been searching for her for 2 years.

Honestly this works so much more for Chucks character because it gives him some actual, well, character. Found him too boring in base Dead Rising 2 and this execution just redeems him for me.

Ethan Edwards No, he would be pretty old though. He was 40 in Off the Record, and about 50 in Dead Rising 3. So depending on how long in the future Dead Rising 4 takes place, he would be pretty old. But it is possible, considering in Off the Record Frank west can still do some pretty sick back flips.

This was probably Franks Head playing with him considering the fact that the game and death battle said that Frank West never gets enough sleep and the brain sees fake Illusions due to him not getting enough sleep. The thing about if Frank and Chuck were to fight hand to hand or in a different scenario Frank would have the upper hand. He is way more experienced with killing zombies and dealing with psychos. He just has more experience both as a journalist (he's covered wars you know) and as a self defender. Chuck is strong and a bullet sponge but we're not using modified weapons as that would be too unfair. In this type of fight they have one item of healing (Orange Juice or Coffee Creamer) One normal weapon you can find on the ground (Bat or an Iron pipe) a gun (pistol shotgun etc) and a boss weapon from their games respectively.
