Man, I love Dead Rising with all my heart. Awesome video and very good descriptions for all the survivors. I say that saving survivors, even though the most frustrating thing was one of my favorites (along with fighting psychos) so I'm so happy that somebody made very well made descriptions about them. And there's even a fanficiton about DR2 survivors and their stories (I even have my own perfect version of DR2 I would love to play). Would you do similar to Dead Rising 2, Case Zero, Case West and Off The Record? And maybe Dead Rising 3 as well? Also, happy belated birthday!
I don't know if I'll do so for Dead Rising 2 since its notebook is already pretty good. I'm a little off any on for that one. Dead Rising 3 on the other hand I absolutely plan to make a notebook for.
@@JakeJakers Well, yes. You are right. DR2 notebook is detailed but, you can give a little bit more of your insight, like you did with DR1. And DR3 desperately needs a notebook as some survivors are pretty good in this game.
Nice video! If it is your birthday, happy b-day! This is purely speculation but I'd imagine they asked an artist "hey can you take portrait shots of our story npcs and send them to the UI designer?" and throughout development they just retook the same sets of photos. Like if one 3d artist just had to open all the models one by one and someone else is responsible for removing cut npc models then they can just open the models whenever they need new photos and send them to the UI designer. With Connie and Dakota still being a part of the story it makes sense why they would leave their models in the files and possibly why their photos are there with no descriptions or last names. I might make a mod based on this for DR2 someday with expanded lore based on official documents and texts because it's a really interesting idea overall. Also I kinda wish the notebook was actually shown like that instead of the massive list we actually got lmao.
Do you think you'll cover the other Dead Rising games with stuff like this and tier lists? I would really like to see you cover some things from Dead Rising 3
@@Anonymous_Hayabusa honestly i kinda blame how the marketing done for dead rising 3 for how some people view the game, sure it can get to easy at times but its still a great entry in the series. Not unlike a certain 4th entry we shall not name
Pretty cool entries, though there are a lot of typos in the names and especially ages - Roger Hall being 40 and having 27 yo son doesn't sound right even without fact-checking it :D
That's straight from the notebook. The belief is that originally they were meant to be 17 and 14, but the ESRB didn't like that so they were aged up. This would also explain why they reuse their Dad's body frame and animations.
@@JakeJakers There must be some differences between versions of the game then, cause i remember Roger being 44, while Jack and Thomas are 23 and 20, Yuu surname is Tanaka not Takana etc.
@@Xertaron. Oh, those ARE typos. The slides were made over a single 7 hour period, and thanks to a bug I had to redo them all when I was almost done. I'm pretty sure I was actually doing this in my sleep by the end of it.

Yes, I do plan to cover the sequels as well. I actually prefer the later games in general.
