If a muslim wants to align themselves with and focus on a homosexual identity then that is not allowed
If a muslim has homosexual desires but still worships Allah SWT then he may be sinful if he or she acts on those desires but still muslim
If a muslim is struggling with any sort of desire and he or she fights against it and doesn’t act towards it, he or she will gain rewards in the hereafter
There are narrations that mention that individuals who aren’t allowed to express their love for another person in this life and die in that state are counted amongst the shuhadaa’, the martyrs
