Guru Nanak Jee introduced the concept of one god, Ik Onkar, one creator present in all of creation. In comparison, Hinduism believes in a hierarchy of deities with Brahman as the foremost all-encompassing, followed by the trinity Brahma (creator) Vishnu (sustainer) and Shiva (destroyer). And variations are there among every religion born in Bharat, there are certain differences in beliefs, customs and rituals but whenever I visit a Gurudwara, I feel there is no difference between Sikhism and Buddhism, Jainism and Hinduism. All are different paths for one destination. Sikh traditions are very common to hindu tradition and I personally adore every religion as they all have the concept of Nirvana taken from the great Vedas. They may be follower of one God or no idoltry but they preached non violence, loving animals and brotherhood, which to common to Buddhism and Hinduism. I was born in a family who was atheist. My youngest sister converted to Islam when she was 20. She is so happy that after 20 years of praying that her family will get interest in Islam, that I found Allah. I have studied Buddhism and Hinduism and now Islam. I see so much similarity and will use all my knowledge to become closer to Allah as possible. I like all people as in the end we all belief in some God, only named differently. But all religions are about love. That is what everyone needs to understand. Further I will not discuss my opinion about other religions on a channel about Islam. I am sorry but there are fundamental differences between polytheist religions like Hinduism, Shintoism and a monotheist one like Islam, the most obvious one being that the former have multiple Gods and Goddesses while the latter has one God - this itself has many, many implications. What you follow is your choice but they have scant few similarities. Buddhism is a completely different concept altogether. I do not mean to come across as aggressive, but I simply wished to point out that it's much more complex than giving different names to a single God.
Please read Surahs 47 4 , 9 29 , 9 30 , 8 12 , 5 33 and 8 29. Ler us know if that is examples of love. Rumi was a brilliant Sufi mystic who denounced these surahs and replaced them with love for all of humanity and I applaud Rumi for that. Buddhism and Jainism have violent peoples like all religions but none of their intrinsic teachings consist of limb chopping, crucifixion and beheadings. They are not perfect as there is idolatry and nonsensical superstitions but the core is Ahimsa or non injury in thoughts, words and deeds and loving kindness and compassion..There is no call to not associate with non believers or to crucify or behead or chop.limbs off of opponents. The Sikh Golden Temple is open to all people from all religions and they never try to convert anyone to Sikhism. All Buddhist and Christian.and Jain and Sikh and Zoroastrian sites are open to all. Mecca and Medina are off limits to non Muslims. That is apartheid. Iove all people and I am against apartheid and bigotry against all peoples. Apostasy is punishable by death. Is that love ? If someone leaves any religion.they should be granted that freedom with love not malice and death threats. Rumi the brilliant Sufi mystic embraced all of humanity as does Thich Nat Hann and the Dali Lama. Love and compassion eclipses religious divisions according to these great humans.
Look up Asma Bint Marwan and Abu Afak and Devadutta and compare. Buddha was silent on Theism. His life proclivity was the alleviation of suffering and compassion. His non evangelical stance on Theism is vastly different from Theistic religions and his denounced view of the soul concept and replaced it with the five skhanhas. Monotheism believes in the soul as does Hinduism and Jainism belief in soul. There are vast differences. Even in Sunni and Shia differences there are irreconcilable rifts and doctrinal clashes.Both Sunni and Shia are also fragmented as is Buddhism and Jainism and Christianity. Socrates said it best. I know that I know nothing and Socrares taught this.

Hinduism is largely a collection of Monotheistic religions that have inter-mingled. Krishna's teachings in Bhagvad Gita are monotheistic. They are different from Quranic teachings, however they are monotheistic. Krishna's monotheism is one that accepts polytheism and even other isms like atheism into its framework.
Bhagat Himself All religion is polytheistic paganism! Even Islam as they pray to 99 different gods just like Hinduism and other religions that predate Islam. Why would God make a mistake when he first put humans on the earth and gave them wisdom! Just because Islam does not crave images of their 99 gods does not mean they do not pray the same as paganism with their 99 gods!

ZEEHAN ZUBAIR I believe that there is one Creator. The All Mighty All is my term for it and through out the centuries religions were created to conquer and control the people. You should have nothing above between you and your connection the the Creator that has no name and the only rule to live by is, Do What Thy Will Harming None Even Thyself. The law of cause and effect rule the universe. There is a lot of great wisdom in all religions once you let go of the five thousand rituals and man made up sin.
What I like about Buddha is that he said, what I remember actually is that God didn't create us just to control us, and he never really said about what we should or shouldn't do. What we do is just gonna impact the system around us and eventually going to come back to us, hence its called Karma. Errr yeah correct me if im wrong but this is what I remember. I like that.
@@r.b.8018 there are two different streams here, one of dharma I.e Hindu and Sikhs and another is nirishavarvaad adharma I.e Jains and Buddhists, we Sikhs and Hindus aren't supposed to link ourselves to those on the other side. I think it's important to stress on this demarcation.

Very good, I am Hindu and although I may not agree with all your points, I truely feel a sense of pluralism. Where you respect the other persons beliefs as their own while not compramising your own core beliefs even if it is in disagreement. I don't see any reason why Hindu's and Muslims can't be friends. No matter how different the creeds both strive for inner peace and better character.

Born and raised in a Catholic household - now consider myself a panantheist. Of all the religions of the world I like the hindu's the most. Best quality of people by far and the most open-hearted and honest people you'll meet. Hindus should be very proud of there roots. Hell sometimes I even wish I was born a hindu.

If you read the Hindu bible the Bhagawad Gita or watch Mahabaratha epic you can see that it is a true story all based on the evolution of the justice system which is incorporated in Hinduism. NO, humans sees with his eyes, robot can "see" too but not with eyes but ultrasonic sensor, and can the robot imagine how does it's creator looked like? NO, we are just like the robot, we cant learn what we arent permitted to learn, we are limited in terms of knowledge and other capability, we wouldnt know everything since only god is the all knowing so learn before you choose, you can feel "peace" in hindu but its the false peace

He was a son of an aristocratic family - or maybe just wealthy merchants, that's not clear - he decided to leave them, became an ascetic for some years and then he came up with a very new philosophy that ignored all the castes and prejudices of the old Vedic religion. But he had to talk about it in terms people knew, so he used the language of Vedic priests and sages. I'm a Buddhist, I'm from the West, and I have no problem distinguishing B from H ;)
Nia Nia: I know that Sanatana Dharma is so rich that you can find in it almost anything you search for. But this is exactly what drives me away from it :) I value simplicity. And Buddhism, especially theravada, even though there is a complex philosophy and cosmology in it, is very simple in practice. We have Four Noble Truths, we have Eightfold Path, we have teachings about how to practice meditation, we have Dhammapada... There's also lots and lots of suttas in the Pali Canon, but most of them show Buddha talking about things which come from the same basic principles. Hinduism is monotheist. But it allows multiple ways to reach the god instead of one single method like in Islam or Christianity. That is the reason Hindus do not have any issues with other religions, we see them as different ways to reach god. And we accept them. We have issues when people say that "our way is the right way and yours is unholy"

We never know who we really are until we die. People can talk forever but I would suggest that you guys sit down quitely and hold your believes tight and wait with it until the end of this life. And variations are there among every religion born in Bharat, there are certain differences in beliefs, customs and rituals but whenever I visit a Gurudwara, I feel there is no difference between Sikhism and Buddhism, Jainism and Hinduism. All are different paths for one destination. Sikh traditions are very common to hindu tradition and I personally adore every religion as they all have the concept of Nirvana taken from the great Vedas.
They may be follower of one God or no idoltry but they preached non violence, loving animals and brotherhood, which to common to Buddhism and Hinduism.

I was born in a family who was atheist. My youngest sister converted to Islam when she was 20. She is so happy that after 20 years of praying that her family will get interest in Islam, that I found Allah. I have studied Buddhism and Hinduism and now Islam. I see so much similarity and will use all my knowledge to become closer to Allah as possible. I like all people as in the end we all belief in some God, only named differently. But all religions are about love. That is what everyone needs to understand. Further I will not discuss my opinion about other religions on a channel about Islam. I am sorry but there are fundamental differences between polytheist religions like Hinduism, Shintoism and a monotheist one like Islam, the most obvious one being that the former have multiple Gods and Goddesses while the latter has one God - this itself has many, many implications. What you follow is your choice but they have scant few similarities.
Buddhism is a completely different concept altogether. I do not mean to come across as aggressive, but I simply wished to point out that it's much more complex than giving different names to a single God.
Please read Surahs 47 4 , 9 29 , 9 30 , 8 12 , 5 33 and 8 29. Ler us know if that is examples of love. Rumi was a brilliant Sufi mystic who denounced these surahs and replaced them with love for all of humanity and I applaud Rumi for that. Buddhism and Jainism have violent peoples like all religions but none of their intrinsic teachings consist of limb chopping, crucifixion and beheadings. They are not perfect as there is idolatry and nonsensical superstitions but the core is Ahimsa or non injury in thoughts, words and deeds and loving kindness and compassion..There is no call to not associate with non believers or to crucify or behead or chop.limbs off of opponents. The Sikh Golden Temple is open to all people from all religions and they never try to convert anyone to Sikhism. All Buddhist and Christian.and Jain and Sikh and Zoroastrian sites are open to all. Mecca and Medina are off limits to non Muslims. That is apartheid. Iove all people and I am against apartheid and bigotry against all peoples. Apostasy is punishable by death. Is that love ? If someone leaves any religion.they should be granted that freedom with love not malice and death threats. Rumi the brilliant Sufi mystic embraced all of humanity as does Thich Nat Hann and the Dali Lama. Love and compassion eclipses religious divisions according to these great humans.
Look up Asma Bint Marwan and Abu Afak and Devadutta and compare. Buddha was silent on Theism. His life proclivity was the alleviation of suffering and compassion. His non evangelical stance on Theism is vastly different from Theistic religions and his denounced view of the soul concept and replaced it with the five skhanhas. Monotheism believes in the soul as does Hinduism and Jainism belief in soul. There are vast differences. Even in Sunni and Shia differences there are irreconcilable rifts and doctrinal clashes.Both Sunni and Shia are also fragmented as is Buddhism and Jainism and Christianity. Socrates said it best. I know that I know nothing and Socrares taught this.

Krishna's teachings in Bhagvad Gita are monotheistic. They are different from Quranic teachings, however they are monotheistic. Krishna's monotheism is one that accepts polytheism and even other isms like atheism into its framework.

ZEEHAN ZUBAIR I believe that there is one Creator. The All Mighty All is my term for it and through out the centuries religions were created to conquer and control the people. You should have nothing above between you and your connection the the Creator that has no name and the only rule to live by is, Do What Thy Will Harming None Even Thyself. The law of cause and effect rule the universe. There is a lot of great wisdom in all religions once you let go of the five thousand rituals and man made up sin.
What I like about Buddha is that he said, what I remember actually is that God didn't create us just to control us, and he never really said about what we should or shouldn't do. What we do is just gonna impact the system around us and eventually going to come back to us, hence its called Karma. Errr yeah correct me if im wrong but this is what I remember. I like that.

@@r.b.8018 there are two different streams here, one of dharma I.e Hindu and Sikhs and another is nirishavarvaad adharma I.e Jains and Buddhists, we Sikhs and Hindus aren't supposed to link ourselves to those on the other side. I think it's important to stress on this demarcation.

Very good, I am Hindu and although I may not agree with all your points, I truely feel a sense of pluralism. Where you respect the other persons beliefs as their own while not compramising your own core beliefs even if it is in disagreement. I don't see any reason why Hindu's and Muslims can't be friends. No matter how different the creeds both strive for inner peace and better character.
I am a Muslim and have nothing but respect and admiration for Hinduism and Buddhism. I absolutely believe that Hindus and Muslims can be friends and respect one another even though our faiths differ in certain aspects. We are all searching for inner peace, and peaceful world, and a deep connection with the transcendent, divine Reality. May we all find what we seek!

Best quality of people by far and the most open-hearted and honest people you'll meet. Hindus should be very proud of there roots. Hell sometimes I even wish I was born a hindu.

Even by common sense Hindutva started in the time when there was no religion at all and wouldn't make any sense to call it a religion back then if ti was the only one. If you read the Hindu bible the Bhagawad Gita or watch Mahabaratha epic you can see that it is a true story all based on the evolution of the justice system which is incorporated in Hinduism. NO, we are just like the robot, we cant learn what we arent permitted to learn, we are limited in terms of knowledge and other capability, we wouldnt know everything since only god is the all knowing so learn before you choose, you can feel "peace" in hindu but its the false peace

Islam is not 1400 years old according to Muslims. Muslims believe that Islam exist from the beginning. Non Hindu people also belive that Hinduism is not older than 4000 years.

মুসলিমরাও কাউকে গোলাম করে না, রাষ্ট্রনায়কেরা করে। পৃথিবীর ভূ রাজনীতি সব সময়ই অন্য দেশ দখল আর, নিজেদের আধিপত্য প্রতিষ্ঠাকে কেন্দ্র করে আবর্তিত হয়েছে। এখানে ধর্মের কোন ভূমিকা নাই, কিন্তু এইসব দখলদারদের ধর্মীয় যেকোন পরিচয় থাকতে পারে।

Nia Nia: I know that Sanatana Dharma is so rich that you can find in it almost anything you search for. But this is exactly what drives me away from it :)
I value simplicity. And Buddhism, especially theravada, even though there is a complex philosophy and cosmology in it, is very simple in practice. We have Four Noble Truths, we have Eightfold Path, we have teachings about how to practice meditation, we have Dhammapada... There's also lots and lots of suttas in the Pali Canon, but most of them show Buddha talking about things which come from the same basic principles.
And this simplicity of core teachings is even more important to me because I come from Europe and I feel connection with European history: Roman law, Greek philosophy, and especially stoicism. Stoicism is in a way like a European version of Buddhism, but more secular. It's as if Gautama started with Sanatana Dharma, but finished with something much closer to Greek philosophy.
Music Is Life as an agnostic, I share the same View. Buddhism is cool. Very logical.

Hinduism is monotheist. But it allows multiple ways to reach the god instead of one single method like in Islam or Christianity. That is the reason Hindus do not have any issues with other religions, we see them as different ways to reach god. And we accept them. Honey if you weren't taught from childhood to stand firm to that 'no idol' theory, then you would not have stubbornly tried to adhere to. Why should one even care what says in the scriptures. We never know who we really are until we die. People can talk forever but I would suggest that you guys sit down quitely and hold your believes tight and wait with it until the end of this life. Sometimes everybody sounds like they know the better truth but the reality is that there is only one truth. Only one, no more and no less.
But the end already came... as it will come again. As you were nothing before you were born, so we shall return to that same nothing. This is a fundamental fulcrum in hindu/buddhist teachings.
Point is.. if we were nothing before our birth, and will once again become nothing when we die, what's to say this hasn't happened before, and will continue to occur for the aeons that span over eternity?
