Oh damn. This game took up so much of my time I didn't realize you're on it now. 11:21 I started off as an Archer. Pawns feel like they mostly play as support/sidelines but you can definitely frontline as a Legolas esque Archer. Take the time to understand the controls, what cancels to what and timings. I figured out that if you time your jump kick right, You can land your kick before the Minotaur can land their rush attack and pull off a cool flip shot, once you get the core skill of course, to counter it. Same goes for any enemy next to you to create distance. The running slide shot can consistently go under cyclops crotch when they come at you. Both the jump kick and Dropkick offer good stagger, great for kicking enemies, big or small off ledges or when they are toppling. They have a sick grab attack when you tackle them to the ground or cling on big bosses. Light attack plunges an arrow into them, Heavy does a drop kick launch, which looks cool straight after implanting an explosive shot and triggering it with the kick. When you stand on enemies, you can still aim manually so you can climb on bosses shoulders or backs, when you're on top of them since theres different stages of clinging, and start sniping at enemies from there, or hit a specific part of a big boss that your auto aim wont target. I wish the archer had more skills, maybe a rope arrow like the thief that can pull targets to you or you to them for big bosses.
Regarding the camera: I reassigned centering the camera to R1 like in Monster Hunter, helps a lot.
Can't exactly explain what's going on without going into endgame spoilers regarding the first game, but the dragon and Arisen system is a constant across all worlds, and that there is always a cycle in place with very specific rules. There can be multiple Arisen at one time, but only if a specific criteria is met for that specific individual.

Your personal pawn will level with you and you train its vocation as you would your own, But you also can hire 2 more 'temp' Pawns. Either the wandering ones or player crafted ones. Those ones are fixed in their stats and skills and you cant edit them.
Hell, Someone may hire YOUR pawn :P
While you do not *need* 3 Pawns, its recommended lol. Well balanced party is a well balanced fight :P
You also do not require to have played the first one. I do recommend it though, its a very good time lol

@@ruikiri There's a character customization tome that you can buy at the pawn guild that allows you to change appearances. One tome to one character, they recently updated the amount you can buy to 99 so you can tweak your looks as many times as you like
@@ruikiri Yep, as the reply above said, You can edit yourself and your pawn.
Theres a Barber in the major city (Scissor icon on the map) that will let you change Hair, Eyes/makeup and your tattoos for gold.
The Art of Metamorphosis is purchased from the Rift Crystal vendor for 500 each.
The Barber will have an option to use it which just takes you back to the full character editor.
You earn Rift Crystals as loot from chests, certain mobs will drop it frequently at night and fixing boken Riftstones.
Main source of it is people hiring your pawn though. Set it a quest and people will hire it more often :D
Didnt think a pawn would become the Arisen but with the way dragons dogma one ended I can kind of see it.

The game is interesting and i am having fun, but theres also a lot of gameplay mechanics that infuriate me xb
The amount of drama and reviewers being angry on calling them a liar is just ... kinda funny
Calling it masterpiece is a lie
Pay to win MTX is also a lie
Game performance & lack of UI for basic feature (new game & delete current save) is still in need to be patches
Capcom fumbled hard on this game release
@@somechinesedude5466 agree.. the game is pretty good, but there is a lot of basic stuff missing, plus the microtransactions.. the lack of fast travel options, specially early game... the health loss gauge which cant be recovered by curatives anymore... single savefile with no option to restart, the photo mode doesnt give you free movement of the camera... there are a lot of bad decisions here imho
