The Firekeeper’s Daughter is one of my all-time favorite books!! I really want to re-read it now.
Today was a beautiful sunny Autumn day, I took a coffee and sat in the sun reading for about 3 hours...bliss x
I highly recommend Firekeeper's Daughter. I listened to it and loved it. Where the Crawdads Sing had me nearly sobbing in the break room at work. It's definitely worth a read.

On this one, your reorganizing the “stuff” which has inspired me. I am currently cleaning out one drawer or shelf or closet every day. (I suppose then I’ll just have to start all over again 😂)

Decluttering is never ending but I do enjoy it sometimes. Like now when hubby’s not home and I can spread out and turn on some oldies. Hope HeyHey is better soon and a good nights sleep has you ready to go tomorrow. 🤗
I just took a look at the Mix & Match crochet book, it looks really good and possibly a great way of using my mountain of leftovers. On my list I think 😊

Okay...the evil doll in the window is truly scary!! I would call a realtor and put my house up for sale if I saw that across the road. 😮 I find dolls scary anyway. Are you sure they are away? 😮😂 Decluttering is a never ending job but I tell my husband it is charity when we bring things to donate. He never wants to part with things. Hope the chicken doesn't end up getting sick again. 🧶
After a concerted effort over the past 7+ years (and a stringent no-buy rule), I finally have my pen stash down to one mug full. I love nothing more that finishing a pen! Love your daily vlogs!
This sounds so satisfying! I now have our pens down to 2 mugs and one rather large pencil case :) I won't need to buy writing pens for years, possibly ever! 😅
So happy you saved "The Firekeeper's Daughter" to read. It is a fantastic book, I read it in two sittings. Sad about the disposal of BTS stickers.😢 ARMY hearts are crying. 😢

The doll in the window is so funny but creepy, when my boys were young we rented a vacation house on Nantucket and there was an upstairs bedroom that was filled with dolls, my oldest son told my youngest that they came alive at night, needless to say nobody slept in that room, and my youngest son was scared all week 😂
Oh my gosh 😅 Mind you I would have been scared of a room full of dolls anyway!

That looked a bit spooky across the road! I like a bit of de-cluttering personally! I find it very therapeutic to have a good tidy out now and again! It’s clothes I have a problem with! Hope the chicken is OK now x
You can recycle pens at Rymans.
I used to but my local one took away their pen recycling bin :( I might check in case they have reinstated it
I loved CRAWDADS ... 5 star read for me but I can see how it might now grab you although since you love nature, I think you might like that bit of it. It's also a mystery within. Happy weekend!

I loved the Tudor Queens series by Alison Weir! I'm reading Innocent Traitor about Lady Jane Gray that she also wrote.
I think you have inspired me to get on with my decluttering! My nearly 13 year old granddaughter has recently got back into reading and I believe has been reading the Twilight books and enjoying that genre so any recommendations from your daughters would be great. I hope you are feeling ok and I always think a bit of knitting and a comforting hot drink always helps. 😊
Well done Ali, job well done in the sorting, decluttering, it ok when you start, but getting started 🤨🤔 that’s another thing. I haven’t been well most of the winter, so my mojo has up and left, hope it returns soon with the longer days so I can get started again! I’ve read two Colleen Hoover books and they were both amazing. I didn’t like the sound of the books based on the cover summary however I decided to read the first chapter and I was hooked. I read each one in under 3 days which for me is so quick. I now always buy her books when I find them second hand.

At one point I read all of Agatha Christie's books and loved them. Sadly, I gave them all away during one of our moves. I may have to see if my library has some and give them another read. I'm listening to Katherine on Aragon and really liking it, looking forward to Anne Boleyn!

I also had all her books and gave them away....what was I thinking....I also had all the 'Miss Read' books and did the same. I have slowly replaced the Miss Read books and will not be giving them away.

I think a work man must have been having fun with your neighbours dolls. 😂 I relate to the mending box, but my family has given up on me. I sew a fair bit, but I don’t mend. Song today, a great Canadian and a favourite of my husband’s. Gordon Lightfoot’s The Wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald.

I'm with you on the not fancying Where the Crawdads Sing. I love to read but this one I've got stuck in it and can't seem to move on. Not sure why...Lylia seems to be the type of person that would enjoy visible mending, lots of ideas on Pinterest!
I’m an avid reader and this happens to me sometimes, even when people rave about a book. For me, it’s where I’m at personally or the time of year, but then I pick it up again later and zip right through! So try again when you’re ready and see if it grabs you. It is so beautifully written 😊

I have a pen/pencil/crayon hoard my youngest of five has just turned 40 so I probably have some rare and valuable stuff in there? I also have a knitting nest (love that😁) like yours. Poor chicken. I love your daily vlogs...question about the doll in the window...did it appear after they left or did you just notice it now? I know they have a baby but do they also have a small child?...so many questions😂 What about visible mending for Lilia's sweater...maybe weaving or embroidery....thank you again for these vlogs I just love seeing your daily life and all your little adventures.
