You got a killer 260z. Running, trans already swapped, no missing panels, you really made out well in this. That kid gave up a diamond. If it was less than $7k hats off to you.
Just needs detailing. And I mean suspension / engine compartment details .Steam cleaning and painting. Check the steering , bushings on the rack , needs urethane. The steering column coupler should be rubber urethane makes your wrists take the shock the rubber is intended to do. No power just direct rack and pinion. Get good tire, very good tires. The car will stop better. And up grade to high performance brake pads and shoes will make stock braking excellent. You have a great exhaust system. Either buy a new carb for that manifold. Or convert back to the twin carbs with are very good carbs. You want no later than 72 carbs called round top. The flat top carbs are not liked by any body except a few die hards that insist they are good. In the World of Z. Those people you can count on ONE hand. Look at your distributor and ignition. To grab some more zap. Many people give it no attention leaving free HP on the table.
I have big plans for the restoration of this car. Brand new carbs are currently in the mail, the weatherstrips are being installed, the engine bay/trunk are about to be repainted, new mags and high performance tires are ordered.
