Armored Warfare (AW) is not dead at at all. It is only not as good as it could be. Most people play PvE, for obvious reasons. If you are not completely a noob, you make it through the battle. Likely not with the highest scores, but that doesn't matter. It simply works, find reasonable positions on cool maps, aim, shoot, damage done to the bots, and have fun with large amount of really different tanks. You think these bots are always the same? Nope, they are reacting on what the players do, so don't think you can sit there and snipe. You get suddenly one in your back, and if not all players are sort of good, you can loose against the bots. So good they are. The maps like Wages of sin or now Black company with Lone star are something what you will never see in WOT, WOT is boring, simple said. Black company Lone star has 1 hour play time to manage the battle! Wot is over in 4 minutes nowadays, and the longer ones like Frontline are a pain in the butt with slower tanks, and you are angry about a ton of things. Wot has no weather, no volcano outbreak lighting up the forest, no helicopter or kind of space stations, no man with a mortar, no darkness, no rockets and no smoke if you made a mistake, nothing. NOTHING. A bit thunder rumbling on some maps, but the rain downpoor never comes middle in the game so you have to watch in wich ditch you drive ... A zeppelin falls down, omg, lol. Then we dont want want to talk about all these missed shots despite well aim on microscopic small hit points, endless aim time no enemy holds still for, the no pens, and the always pen with pay ammo in wot, and no credits earned most of the time in top tiers ... That all works in AW with what you got. Just go and fight, it works. PvP is a different story. The people learn of course in PvE, there is "go into the enemy and finish them". But PvP is more like wot. You supposed to be very careful, make a plan how you can overcome the enemy, teamwork helps, and tactics on different maps, it needs experience too. Why did I say very careful? In WOT are so many missed shots and limited view range etc, you have a chance to escape (except your enemy is an auto-loader with gold). In AW PvP the enemy hits you merciless if you are spotted, and you are dead in second. That is a HUGE problem why I avoid PvP, except for certain missions. Not only lack the most in AW PvP the skills I got in WOT, on top the guns are fare too powerful. A hint to AW, reduce in PvP the damage per shot at least by half and you see more people coming to PvP, just because they last longer than 2 minutes. The last big issue is the map rotation. AW has fantastic maps which are available only on certain times on the day. So when you play always at the same time time, you see only a few maps all over again and never the nicer ones from another hour. That's crazy, isn't it? Hey AW, make the map rotation random, so that if you play half a day or night or all day, you basically are always on another map. Just change these two things and you see players swarming in, because that game is simply more fun to play. FUN. Not feeding a greedy company for better stats. The original game designers where excellent people, now the developer team is tiny, they do only maps like lone star, which is fine. But someone should really address the two points I had above. To get it even better.
The big problem is that people are playing pve for the past 6-7 years have 60k plus batttles and continues to play PVE. PVP is alive on prime time , if not its 7x7. Developers are doing nothing, realising BP tanks and loot boxes. Developers should focus on server and game balance and new maps. i have played since 2015 early access and still play currently 100k plus games in PVP
Yes I agree, the game still has potential but there is work to be done. There is a new company that has taken over the game. I have posted on the blog about what I think AW needs to make it a good competitor to World of Tanks and War Thunder, at the moment it is falling short, in my opinion. I don't think the game is polished enough, the overall look of the game needs improvement to market the game better to new players and get old players coming back. Most of the gameplay is fine though, just needs new maps and more operations and storylines for variety.
Maybe zoom in to aim? You likely will hit! And face (turn) your tank always head on to the enemy, the front is quite robust, the sides not at all. You can also use smoke grenades to hide yourself temporary to make an escape. If you come from WOT you have in two weeks an arsenal of tanks and are quite good. Top tiers need a long time to grind, its not only the tanks, you need the upgrades too, that can take time. You can pay and get gold to buy XP to shorten the grind (which is a good way to use gold, not like wot pay for better damage). PvP has some issues, so thats not what you do at the start, except for certain missions, which are easier in PvP than in PvE.
PvP queues are too long for the lower tiers so mostly played PvE, the game has potential so hoping Wishlist Games can improve it a lot, i'm taking a break from it and waiting to see what happens with the game for now
@@AlexAnimalAW queue times have picked up a bit recently, mid tiers not so bad and I prefer to play at that level for now, if i get better at the game i might play at higher tiers
focus on PvE was the death of this game

@@AntzWar just play tier 8 there is full queues during prime time from 4 till 11
