It was the original 4 members on this. I was so looking forward to this record. The Chameleons were a favourite of mine and this comeback album could not come quick enough for me. Strip was released as a stop gap first when they originally reformed. I think this album is ok but I was a bit disappointed by it to be honest. Mark even acknowledges that they should have taken more time on it and there are a few songs included that probably should not have been. Oh well... Listen to it occasionally and lament a sadly missed opportunity.
Musically very solid. Good melodies, excellent guitars work, rich textures in the arrangements which have significantly lost the post punk style of their beginnings. However, what did the production do with Marc Burgess' voice? Too clean and polished. In the end, a good album, but not essential like SotB and ST

From memory, Dave Allen went out with a recording device and recorded the kids in a local school playground for the ending of Miracles and Wonders ..

Awesome band! You should react to the strange times bonus songs. Some cool stuff!
My last Chameleons reaction will be the Tony Fletcher EP and those types of bonus tracks.
