The little Fujifilm camera that did.

- A look back at an innocent time.
This entire video, including the intro, was shot on the tiny thing. (except the shot of the tiny thing, which was shot with the Z6III).
Zero video post-processing. Most photos were provia or velvia.
The trip was to Vancouver and Banff National Park. I can't wait to go back. I made this quick little video because I randomly put on one of our home movies and was like..." what did I film this on? Love it!" Turns out I shot it on the little one mostly with the 10-24mm f4 lens. I didn't care about raw, 4:2:2 10-bit, or even stabilization. And it didn't matter. :)
Enjoy!
Omar

Dude, it’s great to see a UA-cam photographer who understands it’s ultimately about documenting life, love and relationships-family and friends. Gear is fun but it’s just a means to the end. Thanks for sharing the great times you’ve had with your beautiful, close-knit family.
Love videos like this that show how the latest and best gear isn’t necessary to capture great moments.
I am sooooo HAPPY to have found Omar and his wealth of knowledge and wisdom. And to see his heart through the work. This is heaven
This is not just the best photography YT channel, this is the best channel about expressing art through life that’s on YT.
I recently took my X-T20 to Yellowstone with the family and made some great memories that I will cherish forever. A couple of years ago, I purchased it for $200 as a backup camera because of your channel, and it became my primary camera for my Yellowstone trip. My 9-year-old son was getting into the x-T20, and it was as fun for him as it was for me. Great Times!
I could already tell from your other vids this little camera holds a special place in your heart
This is seriously good art. I really felt the love and wonderful time your family experienced on your trip. Nice job!
Thanks Omar! There’s not much on UA-cam about how to approach the very important goal of capturing family moments, despite the gear being so much better than when we were kids. You make it approachable and fun
What truly wonderful photos, Omar. And so nice to see that your personal, laid-back, genuine and unassuming style has rubbed off on your family. All so relaxed and obviously having the most amazing time. You really are blessed.
I have always discovered too late that some of my best images are made with "outdated" cameras that I have replaced with "better" upgraded models. A new, expensive camera gets babied and coddled while the older gear suddenly becomes just a tool to be used.
Great point!
Such a great video Omar. Well done! 👍
Thanks for making me smile this morning.... Nothing better than memories of when the kiddos were younger and we just laughed a lot! Mine are now wonderful adults, yet I still often see them as little kids in my mind's eye when I look at them. Take care, hope you're keeping cool (sort of) in this PA/NJ/NY heat wave. Have a great week!
Omar- your story telling is next to none! Since finding your channel, I feel like a family friend you bring along with you! Much respect and continued success! Omar El Duró 👏👏💪
Love it Omar - not caring about gear but cherishing the memories is what we should remember!❤
I did a very similar road trip with my family in 2022 - Calgary, Banff, Jasper, Vancouver and armed with my trusty X-T2, 18-55, Samyang 12, and XC 50-230. Canada is incredibly beautiful and now we too have a wonderful set of memories to look back on. Hope you get to go back - Jasper is a MUST next time if you do.
Remarkable image quality and clearly a joyous family time. Thanks for sharing 😊
Still one of the best sensors Fujifilm made. Hits the sweet spots in so many ways and knocks out colours that are gorgeous right out the box. Nice one Omar.
Teriffic, just teriffic. Just what I needed with my morning coffee. Thanks, Omar. You are a gem.
I've been a loyal follower of yours since 2019 and I feel like this trip was just yesterday. But still, you captured amazing shots on the XT20 back then and still do today. I keep my XT30 near and dear to me even though I've upgraded since too. It's something about that camera (being my first Fuji and how I found your channel when I purchased it) that will still be my go to camera when I need something to document my life.
One of your best Omar., Thanks for sharing these beautiful uncomplicated moments. I still use my XT20 on travels, it does a decent job. New cameras and lens expensive to change and upgrade for me and you have shown there are so many skills I need to upgrade first.
Very, very nice! This video soothed my soul...that's the greatest compliment I can give. It reminds me of some of my most memorable trips that I took with my family growing up. Thank you!
100% It is the memories that count. A beautiful family you have Omar.
loved this video Omar! This is what most of photography IS for the rest of us. Memories, documenting our lives. I have had GAS... bought some really nice cameras but last year in December I picked up a Fujifilm X10 for a really great price and honestly it has become my favorite camera. I own the x100v but I reach for the x10 90% of the time. So many reasons why, but hey... "It's not about the camera, it's about the memories" - OG =D
It's always wonderful when a new video from you pops up, and this one is such a lovely little film!
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing your life with us, Omar - oh, and helping me to remember how great the little T20 is!
Omar, I LOVE these types of videos from you!!! And using your favorite camera!!! 🙂THANK YOU!
So cool to see why you have so much joy all the time, in all your videos!
Love your quote at the end of this great, relaxing video. Beautifully done. Thanks.
The XT-20 is a capable camera for capturing magic memories and more. It's not the latest camera or the all singing and dancing camera, or the biggest. It's a tool to use in creating memories, an extension of your eye, mixed with your knowledge, and skills.
Decisive moments can be captured with any camera. Old or new. Long live the XT-20.
Omar have not been viewing your videos for a while. But there still informative and very enjoyable.
Cheers Steve
What a beautiful video, thank you for sharing! This inspires me to start taking more video, even with my basic/old Fuji cameras, because I loved your mix of photo and video to really tell the story here. Great work as always and hope to see more like this!
It's really funny. A lot of people have been criticising FujiFilm cameras lately and I have been with FujiFilm now professionally for about a year and a half and my sales of my work have gone up. My job rate has gone up and my images have improved a hell of a lot under Fiji film yeah sometimes they can be a little tricky to use, but I just love the Fuji film journey and images that they produce and I love your channel Omar. It actually inspired me and I don't care what Camera Use.
Fabulous video Omar. Made me smile from start to finish. 🙏
I rebought an X-T20 on fb marketplace the day you released this video! You taught me how to use and love this camera! Thanks Omar !!
Following you since 2017 when I bought by XT20 and it’s still working and being used occasionally while I have bought other cameras since - I still love the XT20 ✌🏻
Omar, this was simple pure joy on video. It was heartwarming and joyful. This was something we don't get to see much of on here. Thank you for sharing.
thank you for sharing this wonderful personal shots Omar. inspiring.
What an awesome video. So great. I love that this came out on the same day as all the other big channels were posting their embargo-lifted Sony reviews. This was a refreshing difference. :)
Beautiful video! I just had my first kid and I just have this incredible confidence in Fujifilm cameras to document her early years and beyond. As you said, it’s not the gear but what you use it for. Great content as always Omar, thanks for sharing!
Beautiful memories, beautiful family. Thanks for sharing.
Really Nice Omar - Beautiful images and family.
Omar, you are absolutely right. And after watching this, I only want to grab my favorite camera and a couple of lenses, and escape for a while ☺.
I went on vacation with my wife and daughter here in 2013 - will never forget it, and like you - can't wait to go back (I'm closer, in L.A., but the drive there and back is pretty neat - beats flying IMO). I think the bigger point is that you enjoyed the time and place with family, whether you documented it or not. In other words, if someone had said, "You can go to Vancouver with your family on vacation but aren't allowed to photograph or record video of the trip" you'd have gone anyway. That's a dumb presumption, but the point is, the vacation wasn't rooted in "more photography" - as if life isn't living without taking pictures or video. Of course, all the points made about the unnecessary-ness of top-tier gear are appropriate too, but I would hope that goes without saying at this point.
Kudos for going to Canada...I'm looking forward to also going to Toronto sometime - my wife's family was from there.
Love all your videos, Omar, especially this one of your vacation to my hometown and the Rocky Mountains. Looked like you and your family had a wonderful time. Keep up your excellent work with the sense of humour that reminds me of Jim Carey 😂
Wonderful clip, Omar😊
awesome photos! love the first section, i recognize my hometown! great video! capturing your family's moments
Absolutely LOVED this video!
Classic Omar greatness! 🤩
That was lovely. God bless you and your sweet family ❤🙏👍
One of your best!!!
Wonderful family photos Omar!
yup memories are important than camera. nice short clip and photos 👍✨📷
That was beautiful Omar. Thanks.
Peace and blessings to you and your lovely family. Thanks for sharing.
This was a wholesome diversion. Nice work
Omar, what a wonderful video of your family vacation.
We did that one in 2021. I loved that place and your photos/vids sure took me back there.
Well done! Nice to see something not about gear but rather the experience! ❤
Some of your videos make me laugh, some make me cry - you´re an emotion-producer, Omar ;-)
I first thought, that would be a video about the XT50. Then I realized, you made this great video with the “old” XT20! And I think it’s beautiful to see, it’s not about the gear but the passion. I own the XT30 and thought about the XT50. But, no. Because of videos like this one. Thank you.
When it comes to documenting life I always turn to my X-T20. Family, friends and places - it never lets me down.
Great video and cute family man ! … congrats from one dad to another !
When I see all those videos now about Fujifilm AF… I realise how people is just thinking on gear and Clickbait content. Not on living life with happiness. TOP Omar.
Exactly, destroying all the good things about photography.
Well the recent fuji af issues is to do with the "predictive" stuff they added for continuous AF in the latest generation, older gen cameras weren't affected
@@CianMcsweeney completely irrelevant to the point the person above is making.
@@djstuc Not entirely, I agree with their point, that people are more obsessed with gear/tech/sh*tposting then actual photography. But there are also legitimate grievances with AF on the latest fuji cameras
@@CianMcsweeney legitimate grievances that have been blown way out of proportion to the point of it being nothing more than extreme trolling.
I know you used to visit the Rumour site, you can’t tell me that place isn’t just an absolute cesspit now. People straight up lying about the cameras, not even talking about the actual issue and making stuff up etc.
wonderful video, and hell ya its all about capturing moments, regardless of what you use.
I remember your trip! Thanks for sharing your family video memory!
Got it because of you. Still running and loving it. Thanks!!
Superb 👍 It's not the camera, it's love and family life, obviously a great achievement, and beautiful memories indeed ❤️ Congratulations!
Thanks for sharing your memories.. Made me smile. I still use my XT-2 and have many memories of my own that have been made with that camera.
Excellent pics and videos. As Simon and Garfunkel sang “time it was, It was . . .
A time of innocence
A time of confidences
Long ago . . . it must be . . .
I have a photograph
Preserve your memories
They’re all that’s left you.”
That's great! What's even more fun for me is that last month I was in Vancouver!
Thanks so much. I still have my XT-10, still a great little gem, especially with a pancake lens.
The Fuji X-t20 just loves to make memories! I wonder how it knows to do that. Amazing!
Planning on buying an x-t30 ii with the 27 f2.8 lens for family photos/videos. Thanks for the inspiration. Seriously grateful for you and the content you make!
I'm just now realizing I wasn't subscribed (I am now). Sorry for that -- I've been in and out of photography over the past few years and you're someone whose work I always appreciate. Thanks!
Fun video! I still use my XT20 for streetphotography and macro shots. Still in love with it after so many years! 👽☕📷
It's the lenses! Kidding, but really thanks for reminding all of us - I have a family trip planned next month and here I am shopping for camera gear and lenses... This video couldn't have come at a better time! Thank you, Omar
Lovely video, awesome pics and IQ😊
Fantastic !
Happy wife, happy kids. You're a great husband and father. Keep up the great work.
Well that sure was wholesome, thanks Omar
Small cameras with small lenses should have been the focus of Fuji for their aps-c line
amazing trip, with amazing camera.
Great video Omar. We forget sometimes (I am hobbyist photographer) that we don’t need the latest camera (use your IPhone) to save your memories. I have a closet full of albums with lots of photos of my daughters growing up. Now I have a computer full of memories with digital photos of my adult daughter with their kids, traveling on vacation, etc. It really doesn’t matter if it the photos are prefect image of the moment. It’s all about the memories. I currently own a Nikon Z50 with both it kit lenses. This is a great travel camera that is prefect to capture the memories.
I literally got the xt20 because of you! Been using it for a year now.
You understand what's important. Bravo!
I recently traded in my X-T20 as part of an MPB deal for an X-T5. Luckily I still have my X-T30 as my trusty everyday family camera. My wife is using it on auto right now to photo her gardening achievements. The FamCam!
Epic !!! And I liiike.. ❤
A few weeks ago I gave my XT20 to my son. There are some regrets but the photos he is making, made me smile a lot.
I had travel coming up this year. Spent a year wondering about a Z6iii, then a Z8 then a Leica - then it was all about travel cameras...X100Vi, Sony, Ricoh, Olympus Pen. Last week I finally did the travel with a Z6ii, 3 lenses - the results were good, but I finally realised whilst watching this that the latest XT50 and kit lens that I looked at was really what I needed...
We also went to Banff in 2019 and have been wanting go to back ever since.
The X-T20 was the camera that really got me into Fujifilm 👍
Great moments ❤
Lovely photos of my favourite province.
Beautiful video ❤️. My only camera is the Xt20 which i bought in 2020. I love the images coming out of it 😇
Nice, thanks! Having such a small camera puts your lovely family at ease. I’ll bet they also detect that you are not trying your hardest because you don’t feel the pressure whilst not using your best camera...
Beautiful video!
Greetings from Vancouver :)
Nice. A decent camera and a talented photography will make great photos and/or videos. I love Alberta, too.
I am cycle touring around Europe at the moment. Solo and wild camping. Carrying everything I need, and want. Leaving my expensive cameras at home. I am travelling with the XT2 and 18-55mm lens only. It forces you to slow down and think about the shot. It's lightweight and compact and still produces amazing images.
Great video Omar.
Beautiful Memories 😘
Amazing memories!
How was 2019 already 5 years ago lol... but as a Calgarian I hope you had a good time in my country and my backyard, always cool to see people enjoy the same places I'm privileged enough to regularly visit.
