I'd love to see Google or Samsung do the same with their next fold. The OnePlus Open is lightweight compared to the Pixel Fold. The camera is nice on the OnePlus Open too.
Google will make an identical phone and will probably be the best once it comes out later this year. Samsung will have the best software, customization and multi-tasking.
@@husamosman9246 sorry they didn't match anything except similar outer body edge design. Nothing is better on the Pixel Fold. Although not currently available, I tried it in the Google store.
This is such a great phone. I've had mine for 6 months and I have no issues technically or software nor it's size or camera bump. I did add a matte screen protection film on the inner screen on top of the protection that came with the phone, best upgrade ever.
Watching on my OnePlus Open,. Great upgrade from my Pixel 7 pro 🤮 as a former v60 dual screen user. The open gives me the same feelings that the v60 dual screen did, perfect for me across the board.
I'm blessed to have the ZF5, PF, and the OPO. I always find myself going back to the PF. Looking forward to the PF2..My only dislike with the OPO is the way the notifications come in.
Would love to hear your thoughts on the pf. Why you prefer it. And what's wrong with the open. I don't have any of them lol but I'm shopping for one and OPo appears to look the best, I'm guessing Pixel has the best software?
@@alphaspartan, I played with the pixel Fold and the Z Fold 5 and my Oneplus Open is way better. I was on the verge of buying the pixel Fold and held off a few more days, just in time for the One plus Open to come out. I'm glad I waited. The crease on the pixel fold is ginormous and looks like it's made out of plastic, the bezels are huge as well. The Z Fold 5 has a very noticeable crease as well. The Open's crease is very minimal compared to them. The battery life on the Open is insane. I use mine a fair amount and usually have around 60 to 70% by the time I go to bed at midnight. It also has seriously insane fast charging. It goes from empty to full in just over 30 minutes. Plus, with the smart charging built in, leaving it on a charger all night doesn't degrade the battery over time. Then there's the productivity, multitasking, whatever you want to call it. it's actually more intuitive than the Z Fold 5 or the pixel Fold. Samsung and Google have a lot of catching up to do. I have had several Galaxies and Pixels. The Oneplus open I have doesn't have a screen protector on the outside screen and I have way less scratches on it than either of the other two (Galaxy S-22 Ultra and Pixel 8 Pro). I won't even go into the IR blaster or Magic Eraser on the Open. you really can't do any better for a foldable, than the Oneplus Open. It is also better than most regular phones as well.
@@alphaspartan I can only speak for myself but I returned my Pixel Fold because I didn't realize how deep and ugly the crease would be in person. It's horrendous. @@alphaspartanThe zFold shouldn't even exist now that the OnePlus did everything that everyone wanted with Samsung. Pixel Fold is very nice but after 8mo I was fed up by short battery life, heating issues with video, and cameras not good enough at low light conditions, for my usage. Finally switched to OnePlus Open and couldn't be happier. Now I feel foolish for not going with them from beginning, because of worries about the more narrow aspect compared to Pixel Fold, since I had issues with two zFolds before.
Are you talking about the locked screen notification? Locked screen media players still sucks right? I dont know why oneplus is acting kike a cheap phone on software
Great video. I've had it just over a month. Love it. Had OP6, 7tpro, 10 pro also. It's got great build quality and being OnePlus, should last for a very long time. Paid £1100 UK for the black one July 2024
What camera settings are you using for photos and video to get the best quality. I looked at the OnePlus and the pixel 9 pro fold and the pixel had better picture quality and people say the OnePlus is better so I’m curious what settings you use.
Exoticase has a great leather "wallet" case for the opo, if you have the green, they have a great green matching option👍 barely adds any bulk whatsoever to the phone, extremely thin

@@dredknot636 do it , I did , fold 4 to one plus open , 9 months later I do not regret whatsoever , one plus blows Samsung out of the water ,even the fokd 6
Actually using a S10+ (2019) I'm thinking about going for the Open (massive change I know) but I'm worried about it's durability as in ytb and in Reddit I've seen lot op people complaining about Open (and other fold phone) being very fragile (fold screen getting broken). My galaxy S10+ never went to repair once (fell a lot and had to change the protection 3 time), so I don't want to get the Open and have to deal with OP awful support (according to their reddit). Is it a good idea for me to go for the Open or maybe wait for the Open 2 ? Ps I'm tired of samsung and their weird obsession about Apple
I’m going between the one plus open or the s24 ultra but I’m afraid that the oneplus won’t hold up after years. Heard that the inner screen breaks. Have you had any of these issues?? I just want to get it for it to break and the customer support to take forever
Getting this in a week. My s24 ultra has been replaced 4 times now. Trading this hot piece, student discount and 30 bucks off for 470 total with a free stylus for it. The fold 6 was supposed to be the next best thing... Turns out they are still rocking with the same camera system.
I think is impossible to improved the camera bump. The only way to improve is to make the camera "worse", with smaller sensors. If you want to have a top quality camera, it requires top hardware, and this means a bigger bump. And in a foldable the body needs to be thinner, making the bump bigger. edit: 8:00 checking other videos, everyone have more than 4 icons on the cover screen. You're missing something dude.
What's the experience like using the bible app in the inside displays? Would love to hear your experience with that as it will be one of my main used apps if i buy it. Stay blessed
Using the open for 6 months and no issues. There are software bugs here and there and I hate getting repeat notifications for some apps but other than that it's been great.
@najarrajan sold it after 11 months for the fold 6 and heavily regret it should have kept both. Had no issues with durability just kept a thin carbon fiber case on it and was good to go. Better battery, camera, faster charging, and wider inner and outer screen then the fold 6. Was definitely a joy to use. Never had any issues with the screen on any of my folds and I've had every one since the 3. As long as you close using the bezels and don't press on the inner screen itself when closing you're good. I rarely drop phones and the times I have I dropped on concrete may have been luck but still never had hinge issues either.
Thats so weird you hold your phone that way lol. I never hold my finger over the camera. Also i bought a really thin orange gel case and installed a magnetic ring to the back.

I am a longtime Samsung fanboy. The Galaxy S24U and Z Fold 5 utterly disappointed me with how hot they get and their thermal throttling. My OnePlus Open does not do this nearly as bad, therefore has better performance and fluidity in the operating system and other functionality. As a heavy power user who barely leaves his screen off, this is essential to me. The S24U selfie camera is a HORRIBLE disappointment. If you don't have perfect lighting you get blurred and smudged photos unless you use the special nighttime mode which is laggy. The Open doesn't have this issue. The charging is just amazing too. Also, the standby battery for me is MILES ahead of any Galaxy phone.
