One plus open overall is agood phone. I rid of mine a few months ago for an s24 ultra. Oneplus customer service is very lacking, response from them is super slow and you have to ship phone to China for repairs. People saying it took 6 plus weeks to get phone back
Excited for someone that used the OnePlus for a long period of time to put their comparisons on the pixel Pro 9 fold. So far in my testing I don't know if there's enough to justify switching to it. I think OP Open May still reign the king of foldables in the states.
Complaining about wireless charging is just stupid. Unless wireless charging happens like you connect to wifi then you are still tied to a location by keeping it on the charger. Better plug it in for a faster charge. 🤦♂
There are several good used for wireless charging. 2 that come to mind is a wireless charging magnetic phone holder in the car instead of having to use a magnet phone holder and plug in the cable every time. Cleaner and more convenient. The second is use at a desk, especially if you have a dock style wireless charger. And it saves you having to unplug and replug your phone everytime you need to check it for something as you work.
@@TheFlyingClutchman well that's personal preference not a benefit. It takes not even a second to unplug and replug the phone so if someone is that lazy then it's a people issue and will issue.
@Collectivenest exactly, unless wireless charging technology evolves like how wireless networks, it doesn't make sense to demand wireless charging and neither it is practical. It's for the lazy ppl who can't plug and unplug the phone which hardly takes a second.
Same but I think I'll be switching to this. I was waiting for the Fold 6 but I think I'm convinced at this point. I had the OnePlus 7 Pro and loved it and only switched because Samsung had the only good foldable but I think that's changed now.
I'm here to see how it's held up. Finally letting some micro cracks on my ZF3. One Plus has 300 off the open and trade in. My price is about $900, so I'm looking
Just know the inner screen won't last 3 years of normal use like samsung fold, I had only opened it at home. My samsung started cracking down the middle on the inner screen. Took care of it too. Planned. Many reports of people saying the same thing. O and no I didn't open it in the cold
Considering buying this phone, but saw a lot of issues with the internal screen, that it developed dead pixels real quick and gets progressively worse until the whole screen dies... Anyone can tell me if it's a real issue after some time? Thanks
Soo that's y people are selling these forsook cheap on Facebook. Ya 800 brand new. Only being there second fold, I would just do samsung. Just hate the main screen
Thanks for the video! about to trade in my iPhone 14 Pro Max to get this. I noticed you had your AWU on how are the functionality not being connected to an iPhone. I have the same watch and would like to still use it....
Sadly the functionality isn’t there at all. I carry an iPhone for business and android for personal . For personal oneplus watch is great, or galaxy wear classic.
I use an Apple Watch with lg v60 for the oat 3 years. Most of the time my watch is on WiFi and gives me what I need. Out and about if I need to connect to my android phone I simply tether my Apple Watch to my android lg v60. Gives me everything needed and longer battery life with the Apple Watch (2.5 days). I use my watch for payment, music, audio books, podcasts, voice input when I’m on WiFi (I don’t need it out and about). Also for steps and health.
Actually using a S10+ (2019) I'm thinking about going for the Open (massive change I know) but I'm worried about it's durability as in ytb and in Reddit I've seen lot op people complaining about Open (and other fold phone) being very fragile (fold screen getting broken). My galaxy S10+ never went to repair once (fell a lot and had to change the protection 3 time), so I don't want to get the Open and have to deal with OP awful support (according to their reddit). Is it a good idea for me to go for the Open or maybe wait for the Open 2 ? Ps I'm tired of samsung and their weird obsession about Apple
I have the oppo find N3 which is similar to oneplus open, and I choose it rather than S24ultra, however when SS fold6 comes, it should be the best foldable phone😊
Open every single day , just sold s24ultra too big and uncomfortable in my hands and pretty much similar camera or maybe better on OnePlus open speed is similar too sometimes looks like OnePlus is faster, and both displays on OnePlus is amazing to watch videos
Honestly, I’m not sure they just released the upgraded version of this phone, but it’s not really the next generation. Maybe November? Or maybe even an early next year I’m not quite sure.
One thing is this isn’t one plus first foldable this foldable is just a copy of their parent company so saying things like for a first generation or things like “samsung has been doing it for years” aren’t valid arguments tbh.
@@HAj0698 I just didn’t want to risk any damage to the device over time.. also one plus is not as big in the states the support is not the same like apple or Samsung. It’s a beast tho I definitely miss it already.

can you watch full screen videos on open? like netflix?
2nd one plus is ganna be a Real Champ💯
We have to wait until Q1 2025 tho

the OnePlus 12r looks like a banger....
there are hella pics on x showing green lines on the screen of the open so I would be worried
have the 12r. nothing special about it but worth the price

VERY GOOD!

Very much agreed. Its a gimmick that the dummies spend more money on, and these companies eat it up🤦♂️

How close to flat does it open?
As you can see on multiple occasions in the video, it doesn’t open fully flat which is a shame. My Fold 5 up to this date opens fully flat.
@@HuffmasterFLEXXevery video I've seen says it folds completely flat. It also looked fkat to me in this video
I can't wait to get one now. It's about $1,000 now. Also if you're reviewing a phone, for the love of God show the phone more than you show yourself.

My one plus open just broke today :( for no reason. I have lines and dead pixels.😢😢😢😢😢 Thank God for the warranty.

Great video! Which would you prefer over performance and daily use, the open or the s24 ultra?
S24 ultra. Performance is unmatched. But I think these two phones are for different use cases.

Yes
Not really... Half day for me as a heavy user ..
Best phone ever!
Deserve to buy now or wait for oneplus open 2? Amazing video like always! : )
Not sure yet don’t know when open 2 is coming. Hope soon!
Thank you for the real review, keep the update going on!
Z Fold doesn't have IP67 resistance. It's splashproof (ipx8)
I've recorded videos underwater for minutes with all my galaxies over the years with no problems. It's more than splash resistance
It's more than splash proof the 8 means you can submerge it up to 30 mins in 1.5 meters of water.
When u said "what up doe" I knew exactly where you were from. Lol
Ayeee
I think a new fold is coming since the discount is here
