Coming to these spirit spotlights late, but I'm SO SO impressed by the production, the insight, the explanations. I love them and can't wait to watch every single one. Thank you for the care and attention you brought to this series.
Observe the ever-changing world’s secondary power is so oddly worded to me. So basically is it every time a change is made in the land you gain an element? Is it a maximum of 3 elements you can gain? What is an action? Destruction, moving, building, ravaging, exploring, removal, defense?
"The way that Shifting memory's power works is that you pick a land, and the next 3 times something happens in that land (moving, ravaging, destroying, adding) that causes the pieces in that land to change (including non-human pieces like blight and beasts/disease/wilds), you get 1 element marker of your choice. If no pieces change (a defense which doesn't remove either dahan or invader is one example), then it doesn't count. The key (and this is where it gets complicated) is the power triggers 1 time per action, even if that action changes multiple pieces- a power that moves an invader into the land, then destroys it, then adds a beast- is 1 action, and you would get 1 element for that sequence. If it caused a chain reaction that triggered another action (like blighting the island) that then caused another change in that specific land, then the triggered action would count as action #2 and you'd get another element. Its a really complex subject, but its one of the ones that we put a ton of time into working out, since order of operations can really matter when it comes to winning or losing a game, especially to blight." -Braithwhite (More information will be forthcoming when the rulebook for Jagged Earth is released.)
I absolutely love these Spirit Spotlights. Please create one for every spirit, including and especially the core spirits.
We're going to try! -Trevor
Seconded - they are awesome!
Thirded? They are really wonderful.

As amped as I am for this expansion, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't watching this for the dulcet tones of Chris Burton's soothing voice.
dude, I want. I just imagine that this is the weirdo old man spirit who is super interested in ants and tries really hard to help them along.
Forgotten more about power than they will ever understand. Riveting
"Weird flex but ok." - Finder of Paths Unseen
“Sick burn ... “ -Vengeance as a Burning Plague
So pumped for this expansion.

The new spirits look awesome, I hope to get enough time to play with many of them!
A+ Video. Seeing all the components slide around is gorgeous. Thanks for making this! Can't wait to receive the Kickstarter version!
Interesting. I enjoy this sort of careful play that can potentially make a radical effect on the board if used properly.
Spirit of New Game+
Very cool. Can't wait to try him.
These overview videos are SOOO awesome - I can't wait for this to arrive!!!

I agree. the wording is a little odd. Someone can clarify?

So excited for this spirit
Cant wait for the new Major Power cards in jagged earth, now even more :)
My mates and I have played Spirit Island and B & C so much. Can't wait for the expansion to release. Loving the new spirits and how thematic they are.
The new spirit designs are all so exciting and this one is no exception!
Love these videos, keep them coming!
What are the other two starting powers? Those are a very important part of their kit, so it's disappointing to only see half of them.
Does jagged earth come with element markers?
Yes, it will! -Trevor
so are there gonna be tokens for each of the elements in jagged earth?
Yup
Yes, new element tokens are included with Jagged Earth. They are especially useful with this spirit. -Trevor
