- Florida is one of the hotspots around the world for amusement and theme parks. It has pretty much any type of park you could ask for from the big boys like the Disney and Universal parks to hole-in-the-wall parks like Funspot Orlando and in this video, I'm gonna rank all of them.

I like how islands of adventure doesn't even need an explanation to why it's the best everyone knows it just is.
I went there on a school trip (gradventure it's something Florida people do) and my group forced someone who was really scared of rollercoasters onto velocicoaster and he loves it so much. 🥶🥶🥶 Clean park.
I still think BGT is better and Universal Orlando is almost better. Both have cool theming but USO has way better rides imo
Edit: I entirely disagree with myself now lol, IOA is way better now that I got to experience more of the dark rides as well as Velocicoaster
Last time I went there Harry Potter was only in one park, and yeah it was nice, but not 10/10 nice. The dragons were no longer dueling, the hippogriff was... well didn't realize it was a kiddy coaster, Dr Seuss land left me looking at the ride operators who seemed to be slowly bouncing to the music like someone out of a zombie flick, don't even thing Jurassic park had much of anything maybe a cheap water ride and a kiddie ride that I apparently too tall to ride on or something, and Marvel lad just pulled me into a generic amusement park, yeah there was "theming" but standing in line for 45 minutes on any of the rides and hearing the music/talking repeat over and over and over and over and... yeah when I went, I actually appreciated the other Universal park much better. That said, think it's time to go back, since there's been some fairly large additions.

No. Every single other shooting dark ride that exists surpasses it by a lot, a huge gap at that.
It’s just old by now man. That ride has been there for about 20 years if I’m not mistaken. Great classic ride none the less and one of the few old rides that still in universal. Not sure how old you are, but one of my favorite rides there use to be back to the future. Times have change thou hahaha
Im 20, didn't get to enjoy it sadly! But now I work right across the waters from Toy Story Midway Mania, the third best shooter behind Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters and W.E.B. in Avengers Campus

I'm sad there was no mention of the ET ride at Universal. It has the best queue with all the trees and nature sounds and that amazing smell of fresh fallen rain. It's so peaceful and relaxing inside it's a great escape from the busy-ness of the crowds outside.

If you are 1-10 years old Disney parks will be #1. 10-16 year olds will probably be the Universal Parks. 16-60 will probably be Busch Gardens/Sea World if you like coasters, Universal if you don’t. 60+ year olds is Disney again. There you go.

In all seriousness though, would argue it should be placed higher just because of the experience. Tokyo DisneySea is widely considered one of the best theme parks in the world, not because of the rides, but because of the landscapes, the scenery, and overall immersion. Strictly speaking, from a number of rides standpoint, both parks aren't great, but if you look at what you're actually going to the park for, the animals, all the walkthrough experiences, and the shows, it's a pretty solid experience. Plus, almost all the rides in Animal Kingdom are very very high quality.
Again just my opinion on this, but I think it was judged by a single category rather than the whole experience in this case.
I think that it is an overall case. You really need both if you want to get close to the perfect park. Animal kingdoms rides are great, but I would argue that sea world has far and away the better coasters, and that might be the biggest thing to some people. Flight of passage looks like a top 3 dark ride in the world, but I would still probably think that mako is the better ride, for example. Maybe thats how it is, or I could just be an idiot in this case. Thats just my take from the video
Animal kingdom is a great park. My favorite at disneyworld, but even I know it needs more rides. It needs another coaster, and it needs another dark ride. The animals and shows are great, but there needs to be more. The navi river adventure thing is honestly a horrible ride in my opinion. Me and my gf were very underwhelmed (other than the excellent animatronic at the end).
I still wish Animal Kingdom would add something like the planned Beastly Kingdom land that was originally going to be part of the park but then Disney didn't have the money to add it at the time
Agreed. This is supposed to be ranking THEME parks, of which the Disney parks and to a lesser extent IOA are unmatched. Obviously ride count is to be considered, but they glazed over shows like Festival of the Lion King, which is one of the greatest theme park shows ever done. The actual theming, immersion, vibes, and food at AK are unmatched!
There's clearly a coaster bias here, which are the easiest off the shelf attractions to build, unless of course you actually theme them, like Everest lmao.
Busch gardens is great, but if you don't care about coasters Magic Kingdom is close to perfect.
Sea world has 3 elite B&Ms tho. Animal kingdom has expedition Everest. Also the animals at sea world are way better

5. Legoland Florida - Great family park
4. Universal Studios Orlando - Really great park but it needs some new stuff that isn’t a screen ride.
3. SeaWorld Orlando - Excellent but I like the parks above more
2. Busch Gardens Tampa - Gorgeous park with amazing animals and a fantastic coaster collection especially with Iron Gwazi opening up.
1. Islands of Adventure - It’s the perfect mix with amazing thrills and great family rides. Amazing screen rides and it’s a beautiful park as well. This is a legendary park.

Fellow Orlando resident here!! I've been to all the parks mentioned in the video hundreds of times, with BGT being my absolute favorite. That park cemented my love for roller coasters, with Kumba being my absolute favorite in Florida. SeaWorld is also CRIMINALLY underrated, and I'm actually one of those weirdos that only go to ride the coasters. 😅 I've ridden Mako more times than any other coaster and I personally find it to be on par with Velocicoaster as the best in Orlando. Dueling Dragons was what made me a coaster fan, BGT was what made me a coaster enthusiast, and Mako was what helped me overcome my fear of letting go of the restraint. Now I always have my hands up! (:

sea world is not underrated. They deserve to go out of business if then don’t stop abusing their orcas and forcing them to preform for food
As much as I love Mako, I don't think anything beats Velocicoaster right now. EVEN iron gwazi.

The mummy is honestly the best coaster ive ever been on. That alone should give the park top 3.
My first ride on the Mummy, not knowing any of its tricks, remains one of my favorite experiences on a roller coaster.

Gringotts is criminally underrated. Yes it relies heavily on screens, but the way they blend the theming with the little bit of thrills is about as good as it gets. Case in point: the part near the end where the dragon is pulling you up out of the vaults is where they use the launch and it’s seamless. A lot of people don’t even realize there’s a launch. Yes, it’s a launched Intamin coaster.
The theming in diagon alley around gringotts is also incredible. The interactive spots that respond to their overpriced wands, Knockturn alley, the ice cream place, etc. just for Diagon Alley alone, this park deserves more credit.
There are a few lame rides at universal Orlando (*cough* Jimmy Fallon, *cough* Fast and the Furious), but between Diagon Alley, the Mummy, Men in Black, and a few other decent attractions this park is as good or better than most Disney parks.
Ikr! I’m always shocked that a lot of people don’t like Gringotts. I love it, the theming mixed with thrills is just perfect. And I’m not saying that because I don’t like intense rides, because I do. Gringotts is one of my favorites❤️
Tbh i thk Fallon is a pretty fun chill ride if anything Simpsons is whats trash

@@rival6859 I’ve never waited more than an hour for Gringotts. Single rider line helps a lot if the line is long. There’s also various ways to get a pretty good deal on express (staying at one of the expensive hotels and getting a bunch of room keys). Now For Hagrid’s, you might actually wait over 2 hours. That’s at the other universal park though.

It's interesting. I'm a Universal fanboy through and through. And, while it stung to see USF put second to last, I can't really disagree with any of the points made. The nostalgia of going to that park since the 90's doesn't overcome the fact that there's just too many screen based attractions now.
Omissions for me: Both Funspots, Both Legoland parks. I will be including waterparks I went to.

The reason I think fun spot is so well kept is because the company that owns it is realistic and not over ambitious and can maintain a certain level of quality on a significantly smaller scale than Disney and universal

We went to Florida in 2016. Being from the UK I'd put Sea World as my second favourite.
Was a refreshing difference. I love the shade the park gives, the layout, and the fact the queues were 10-20mins max compared to 60+ at the other big parks.
Islands was the best.

I’m surprised that South Florida doesn’t have a major park given how populated it is. There’s a lot of Land south of Kendall that borders the Everglades which definitely has potential and benefits from proximity to the Miami Zoo

the drop doesn't have trims. They are there so they can purposefully valley the ride.
Strongly agree, literally the roughest drop EVER. Had the biggest migraine and just wanted it to end.

Your review of the original Universal Orlando park is very fair and I agree with it, although you are sleeping on ET and the Bourne Stunt Spectacular are really great, but yeahs Islands of Adventure is so much better it’s not even close

It's worth noting with Seaworld that the trainers are incredibly transparent when it comes to how they train and treat their animals now, only utilizing positive reinforcement training. Last week when I went there, we went to see the Orca Encounter and they actually stopped the show early because the orcas weren't interested in coming out. I'd definitely prefer them to cancel shows over exploiting the animals.
They are still exploiting them.

@@3godzilla3 Sorry, I'm not getting off the train of not supporting a company that has exploited animals for decades. I don't have to be there 24/7. Do they still have orcas in small tanks way past the time they were supposed to faze out their orca breeding program and build bigger enclosures for the remaining orcas until they could get them to accredited sanctuaries? Yes.
Listen, if you like the park and don't mind how the animals are treated, go have fun. I have no problem with that..just don't pretend that what's going on there isn't really happening. That's all I'm saying. I, on the other hand, can't support them. Which sucks because I'd love to go try out their coasters. But I can't really have fun when I know animals are suffering for it.

I go on a trip with my family to Disney and Universal every year, and even though we only go to Universal one day, Islands of Adventure has to be my all-time favorite. Hagrid's was the first real coaster I've been on (except a really cheap crusty one at a county fair 💀) and I absolutely love it. There's just so much to enjoy even if you aren't a thrill-seeker, and I wish I lived closer to Florida so I could go more often.

My favorite is Bush Gardens. It has more costers than most places I've been and animals like a zoo.
Seaworld is my favorite park in florida because Mako is intense, Kraken is fun, Infinity Falls is so unique, like they litterally put an elevator in a ride, and Icebreaker is cool and unique too, but that new surf coaster that's opening soon is super interesting to me. Also, it's not nearly as overpriced as disney or universal.
I just moved to Jacksonville around this time last year. We've been down to Orlando a few times and ended up enjoying the whole Universal property more than anywhere.

Epcot is the best as an adult. I celebrated my 21st birthday there and did an around the world with my dad. Needless to say we were pretty hammered halfway through, especially after starting at the tequila bar in Mexico.
