What's a little funny is that when Epic Universe opens next year it will actually have as many or more rides than Animal Kingdom and EPCOT currently have...and those parks have both been around 25+ years.

I totally understand what you mean, even though every ride has a purpose. Some rides at a big universe or kind of filler but that’s OK and maybe a park doesn’t have a ton of rides but they all have their own meetings in certain things also universal doesn’t end as many things as Disney does and their parks aren’t really as big so it is easier to put a lot more stuff in when you don’t have to worry about a bunch of other things that is in volcano Bay or some hotels or your other two parks

I disagree on the transportation. Disney needs transportation and universal doesn’t, because you’re always right next to everything. With universal, you can literally walk everywhere, and to every hotel. This is one of those categories where not needing it is better.

Whats crazy about the endless summer resort is that it caught fire just 2 days ago while I was there, honestly the way that the workers reacted and calmed the children down and adults was honestly so impressive and they ended up giving everyone something free from the stores to assure our stay wasnt ruined from a fire.

I think I agree with every ranking. My one quibble is transportation. Yes WDW has more options but they are necessary. Some folks forget that you don't just pull up to MK, it takes time. Same for AK. The only way there is the bus and if you are not good with time, buses can be your worst enemy. With UOR, you can walk everywhere, literally, although I would not walk from Endless Summer. Also a few walks are long.

Shopping is much more unique at Universal as they don't offer much online (I assume due to Disney owning the rights to the Simpsons and Marvel). Therefore, you have to be in the park to buy Universal merchandise. You can get Disney stuff anywhere and therefore everyone has it. Also, the Universal designs are much nicer - just look at their monster or Mardi Gras offerings.

As someone who attended Disney World from 1977 when I was 12 til 2016, SeaWorld 1977-present, and Universal Studios 2002-present, Universal Orlando is definitely a better theme park resort than Disney World in my family's and my opinions (I'm actually visiting US/SW next week from NC). To us, Universal is a much better value in terms of ticket prices, ride-for-ride it's better, much easier to navigate the two parks/Volcano Bay/City Walk/hotels, much more relaxing, the on-site hotels offer a much better value, and Universal stays out of politics. Where I do give Disney the edge is much better night time shows and overall food/restaurant options. When Epic Universe opens next year (we will be there in September 2025), it will quite honestly be the best theme park in the World. We're really looking forward to it.

Now how about another category, the alcoholic selections? Lmao. I can name 2 recent-ish trips I had since I became 21 around 4 years ago (I'm 25 rn), and I can still recall both experiences I had being allowed to actually partake in the more adult side of things. Granted I didn't go crazy but I did sample 2 places I wanted to try.
First in Universal I stopped by an Irish pub themed place called Finnegan's Bar and Grill. The food was nice but I got myself to drink an Apple Pie on the Rocks. Honestly great drink, one of the best I tasted up to that point, tasted how it was advertized, like an alcoholic liquid apple pie. I ended up getting 2 of them lol and I got nice and ripped before hopping onto the Revenge of the Mummy hahaha. Fun time.
Next I took a visit to Epcot and went to a place I was really looking forward to, I love World Showcase and spent the day going to the individual pavilions (despite the crowds). Once nightfall came and all the beautiful lights went up, I headed over to the Mexican pavilion and went to La Cava del Tequila, a nice cozy little tequila bar tucked into the side of the large temple in the pavilion. There I got myself a small thing of corn chips and queso to snack on and I had also gotten myself a Blood Orange. It was very tasty granted the chile-lime powder the used to coat the rim of my cup wasn't something I was used to lmao. Still the drink itself was very good, nice and tart with a hint of vanilla. A good way to end off the day before the night time show.
It's hard for me to say who won here, both were great times but I think Disney had overall more interesting and cool options simply due to the nature of World Showcase. Universal still gets major points for the theming of some bars they have at their parks though.

This feels like it was meant to always give Disney the win and it’s coming from a nostalgic+disney love side rather than a logical side. No where in the video does it take into account customer experience at both parks which has been on the decline for Disney, nothing about disneys anti-consumerism practices like replacing their fast pass system with genie+, and no mention of the decrease in innovations and value at Disney. You mention flight of passage as an amazing ride, but in your universal Hollywood video, you talked about how the screens make forbidden journey not as good as it can be. Flight in AK is literally all screens. It just doesn’t make sense.

    • @volleyballpro1997

Not to mention, the Star Wars ride constantly having technical issues to the point where they can’t even utilize some of the props and mechanics of the ride. It’s innovative for sure and a very well made ride, but its lack of consistency just means they put out a product that wasn’t truly ready, which to me means they do not care about the customer experience. Epic universe on the other hand is already conducting a ton of ride testing to prevent this plus you look at a ride like Hagrids, it was a technical marvel. Yes it has its technical issues at times, but no where never as unreliable as the Star Wars ride at Hollywood Studios. Idk it just seems like Disney is on the decline and they don’t deserve the credit they got in this video when they’ve been lazy and reactive about everything

I freely admit that Disney's rides are not as thrilling as their Universal equivalents, but in a way that's kind of the point. Walt's original idea was to create a park where every member of the family can enjoy rides together. I didn't really internalize this until my mom had to undergo surgery on her eye. Now, she can't ride anything that has any kind of fast or jerky movement. This basically shut out almost every single attraction at Universal for her. Seriously, we made a list of all the things she can do, and there were maybe 2-3 things on there. But Disney is so stacked with slow moving dark rides and shows that she can still enjoy the theme park experience with her kids and doesn't have to spend the day sitting on a bench watching us have fun. She also loves shopping around and enjoying the food. I think Disney in general just has a lot more to do for people who aren't necessarily looking for thrills, or extended families that are looking for whole-family experiences.

Exactly! I'm 16, and my brother is 6. I'm not exactly the biggest fan of rollercoasters, but my brother won't go on any. (when I was his age I didn't like many rides either but his and my friends did/do) That means that at Universal, my mom and dad, who both wanna ride a certain rollercoaster/more intense than dark ride with me, have to pick who stays with my brother. (child swap is a thing on SOME rides and it takes a while) Whereas at Magic Kingdom or something, my brother will go on pretty much all the rides. So for me, Universal is more fun, but considering my mom's neck/back problems and my brother, but Magic Kingdom is probably the best family trip option

Overall agree with these. Just a few things.
while Disney has more and varied transportation options it’s out of necessity. Universal just has busses and water taxis because there is no need for monorails, skyways, etc. and their buses and water taxis are more consistent with less waits between I feel.
Accessibility is better at Disney but that is more because of the type of rides. Higher thrill rides require a greater level of restriction for safety. Still valid point to Disney but gets an asterisk.
Feel like Epic Universe will flip this too as I could see Universal take theming once it opens and there are a lot of restaurants so has a chance to take food as well.

I just had a terrible visit to Universal (it seemed like everything was broken down for the two days I visited), but having been there several times before, I normally would agree with your assessment. The only thing I REALLY dislike, is the price of Universal's front-of-line pass system. I know I'm going to sound like an "old guy" but I really miss Disney's free Fast Pass system. Free for everybody. I just don't think I should have to pay well over a hundred dollars, for each person in my party, for each ticket, to be treated like second class citizens, unless I want to pay double.

But we don't visit Orlando during any peek times and rarely have to wait more than 30 minutes when carefully time when we ride things. To us, the fast passes at all of the parks (including our local Cedar Fair park here in the Charlotte area) are a terrible value. They're more than the admission price itself, which is ridiculous.

The video features a narrator whose frequent changes in vocal inflections prove to be quite distracting. The narrator's voice often fluctuates in pitch and tone without clear reasons, creating an inconsistent listening experience. These abrupt changes can make it difficult to follow the content, as they draw undue attention to the delivery rather than the message itself. The inconsistent inflections might also suggest a lack of confidence or over-rehearsal, further detracting from the video's overall quality. For a more engaging and professional presentation, the narrator should aim for smoother transitions and a more steady, natural flow in their speech.

These are all fair battles. My take is that it's pretty close right now, but once Epic Universe opens up Universal will take the crown handily. So once EU opens, it will be enough to tip the scales.

Obnoxious uninterested employees at Universal to real cast and crew. What a pathetic review. Universal is basic amusement park that's fun to visit like six flags and I don't care when I go back. I had Universal annual passes that were cheap because I never cared to use it. The other is an immersive experience. I own that annual pass too and go over six weeks a year and every trip it's something new. Not even a contest. The last trip at Universal I left after waiting in a 90 minute line with "Express pass" to go back to Epcot for a relaxing immersive evening. Haven't been back to Universal in over 2 years. Been back to Disney for over 10 immersive getaways in that time. And yes, I still hate things both companies do and stand for.

I like the Universal Orlando Resort better than the Disney World Resort but like the Disneyland Resort better than the Universal Orlando Resort.

Are you talking about the Disneyland resort in California? If so, then that makes no sense because Disney World has 4 parks, better theming, and 10x more rides than Disneyland Resort.

@illaudioproductions your comment tells me you have never visited Disneyland because the whole Disneyland Resort actually has about the same amount of rides as the entire Disney World resort. Disneyland's parks are much more dense with rides than any of Disney World's parks are. Also Disneyland has many more of the better versions of the same rides (like Pirates, Space Mountain, Big Thunder, Indiana Jones > Dinosaur). Disney World and Disneyland are very comparable with their theming so I wouldn't say one has better theming over the other. Disney World is fun but Disneyland is king.

@@FanThemePark Your assumption is wrong. I grew up in California and we were season pass holders for about ten years before moving to Florida. We now have season passes here. There is a lot more to do in Disney World. We could do just about everting Disneyland and dca had to offer in two days. We can barely do everything at Disneyworld in 4 days. It’s not just about rides.

@@accesobeats yeh you are right about Disney World having more to do overall because they have more than just rides and a lot more space but you originally said Disney World has 10 times more rides than Disneyland which is simply false.
