I’ve lived in the Orlando area for 26 years now and still do like the parks overall, despite having a lot of objections to their changes. I absolutely love coasters, and grew up in the Midwest going to Cedar Point. Nothing has ever been fast enough, high enough, or intense enough for me…. If I feel secure and safe. Which I honestly always have until just over a year ago on one of these. Mako was the culprit at Sea World. For that ride’s extreme height, speed, etc, the only thing securing you is one restraint that, for me as a slightly taller person, only covered the top 6 inches or so of my upper legs, just above me knees. There was no secondary belt securing the restraint either. I really felt like I was slipping out of the restraint the entire ride and had a death grip on whatever I could get a hold of. It’s been THE only time that I have not felt safe on a coaster. I really don’t know if I’ll ever go on it again, and I never ever say that of coasters. I’ve ridden some as many as 21 times in a row on really slow days.
In your other video of top 25 roller coasters in Florida, made in 2020, Canobie Coaster said: Number 11: Kumba at Busch Gardens Tampa. One of the B&M's earliest roller coasters is still one of their most intense. Kumba is a positive G-force machine. You've been posting a lot of videos from Florida recently. Did you just visit there recently, and if so, did you return to Legoland or visit any new waterparks like Adventure Island?
I'm waiting to go back to Legoland Florida when the new indoor coaster opens. I did not get to Adventure Island this trip. We could have, but it would have eaten into a full day at Busch Gardens.
For me until January iron gwazi was over velocicoaster but now it’s veloci over iron gwazi, idk if I got bad rides on it and really good rides on veloci or what but they flipped. However both are phenomenal both in my top 3
My rides on Gwazi last December were a tad slower than what I remembered (still amazing though), but it was hauling a few weeks ago. I suspect you maybe had a bad ride.
My man woke up on the right side of the bed this morning finally putting IG over VC. Most people that disagree either don't live in FL or just visit Universal when they visit and maybe go to Sea World or Busch gardens once every couple of years. It's really too bad that is the case as people are really missing out on two of the best parks in America. Most people who have VC ranked higher are those who fall into the "ride is themed" category. Theming is nice, but has never pursuaded me one way or the other on the actual coaster. I've had night rides on Mako that blew me away and I would rank Mako above VC on those, but I have never had a ride on IG and thought it might not be as good as VC. I actually like the first half of VC more than the second half and I only go to universal if I'm going to an Orlando Informer event because that's the only way I could actually enjoy going to Universal. One criticism I have is calling the "second half" of Mako losing steam is a little unfair. It is more like the final 20% of the ride and the mid course was only put in because Sea world is in Orlando and needed (almost required) due to potential capacity needs. The one trim after the turnaround hits, but I've been on plenty of times it hasn't hit and if it does, it doesn't take away from the ride or airtime at all. That particular airtime hill is one of the best moments, but gets over looked because too many enthusiasts are focused on the "trim". The ride still powers thru the next airtime hill and full ejector on the speed hill. I know because I was just on it Sunday night for about 6 rides and it was hauling and incredible. Great video as always!
I have always had Iron Gwazi ahead of Velocicoaster, but both are elite. I agree Mako's "2nd half" is really more like a final 1/3-1/4. I use the mcbr to separate the bits.
@@CanobieCoaster my bad, I swear you had VC ahead of IG on one of your rankings. My apologies if you didn't, but still glad we both agree 💯 on your comment 😂

@@CanobieCoaster can’t argue with you. The only slight edge Qwazi has is that it maintains its speed and intensity for the entire ride. VC does slows down a bit until the second launch hits.
@@CanobieCoaster A big part of it is the landings after the airtime. My groin slams down onto the perch. It truly felt like getting kicked in the groin. My favorites in America's wang in no order Pipeline the Surf Coaster, I hope more of these show up. The airtime is something that must be experienced Kumba, I love the display of power Montu, I love B&M inverts, combine great force and visuals, and you got a winner. Iron Gwazi, RMC was at it again. The drop is wicked and the death roll is awesome. Velocicoaster, this is my number 4 overall, and for good reason. This is a diverse ride, mixing a little of everything. Mako, very smooth and reridable
For me my top 5 in Florida are: 1. Velocicoaster 2. Mako 3. Hagrids 4. Expedition Everest 5. Revenge of the Mummy I haven't been to Busch Gardens Tampa yet.
@@HugeRMCFanBoY-bx3od the positives are only ok to me. At this point universal has the money to replace this with something superior. Its just not good.
Local here. Velocicoaster is definitely #1. 1) The themeing on it over Gwazi is insane. Gwazi has almost 0 theme. VC Is themed amazing well from the queue to the preshow and on ride. 2) Ops. Iron Gwazi and Seaworld have some of the WORST dispatch times out there. It's not uncommon to be stacked in the second car for 3-4-5 minutes waiting for the station to clear. Seaworld (owner of BG) runs with minimal staff so dispatch times are almost always very slow.
Kraken after the MCBR is now almost like Alpengeist after they slowed down the 2nd 1/2. I think Krakens is less noticable than Alpengeist, that is if you got on Alpengeist soon after initial opening date due to it's nuetering being waaaay sooner than Kraken. Kraken's 2nd loop (personally) WAS the most intense B&M loop (that I've been on), now it's just good. The corkscrew is slower but still great.
@@HugeRMCFanBoY-bx3od Present day I agree with you, but not as it used to be. That 2nd loop was one of the few elements I have been suprised by with positive g's. 17:37 I think the reason why the mosasaurus roll offers such forces, is because it’s overheartlined at the start, underheartlined at the inversion, and overheartlined at the end. You can kind of see that because the train looks like it rises up at the start, but it then whips down like an inline twist. You can also kind of see the shaping from the front
Did you ever come off something in Florida with a headache? For example: Kumba at Busch Gardens Tampa SheiKra at Busch Gardens Tampa Montu at Busch Gardens Tampa Cheetah Hunt at Busch Gardens Tampa Expedition Everest at Disney's Animal Kingdom Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket at Universal Studios Florida White Lightning at Fun Spot Orlando Mine Blower at Fun Spot Kissimmee
I feel including dueling dragons / dragon challenge is a bit odd as it’s been closed now for over 14 years and it was very rough in its latter years, it also wasn’t as epic when they stopped running them at the same time
Slinky over Rock 'n' Roller is crazy. One thing you didn't mention is Slinky's horrible queue outside in the blistering hot sun with little cover. Waiting for this ride which usually has wait times pushing 2 hours, is pure torture.
A water park version would be welcomed. In between the 6 main water parks in Orlando, as well as Adventure Island and a couple other local parks in south Florida, there's plenty of competition.
Can’t wait for my vacation to Orlando in 2 days, plan on hitting 28 coasters with 23 of them being new, it’ll be my first time on iron gwazi and I don’t see how it can be better than velocicoaster

We missed out on Kraken as it was shut for refurb and space mountain as the queues were crazy, although we have ridden the Disneyland Paris version. Can't wait to go back. My favourite 5 were Iron Gwazi, Tigris, Velocicoaster, Mako and Kumba. Kumba I first rode in 1994 when I was 11, went back 29 years later and it's still incredible! Thanks for the great video.
Love you videos. But putting Space Mountain and Rip Ride Rockit in the top ten is crazy. I don't even know if I would have them on the list at all. Space Mountain always hurts my back. Rip Ride Rocket gives me serious headaches and pain. I do appreciate your love for White Lightning. Very underrated coaster. And I hope you are right about Mine Blower getting more topper track. It would be so nice if RMC retracked the entire ride.

Honestly Montu is my favorite ride in Florida.
It's one of the bettet ones.
Oft this is a big one - I was just there last week at Disney World & Universal & managed to get two rides on Tron & a ride on Guardians in the same day. It was insane!
Nice! That's hard to do with the VQ.
My favorites in America's wang in no order
Pipeline the Surf Coaster, I hope more of these show up. The airtime is something that must be experienced
Kumba, I love the display of power
Montu, I love B&M inverts, combine great force and visuals, and you got a winner.
Iron Gwazi, RMC was at it again. The drop is wicked and the death roll is awesome.
Velocicoaster, this is my number 4 overall, and for good reason. This is a diverse ride, mixing a little of everything.
Mako, very smooth and reridable
Great rides!
im first pls pin
Nice!
For me my top 5 in Florida are:
1. Velocicoaster
2. Mako
3. Hagrids
4. Expedition Everest
5. Revenge of the Mummy
I haven't been to Busch Gardens Tampa yet.
Mummy is underrated!
Nice list! BGT is well worth experiencing.
1. Velocicoaster
2. Iron Gwazi
3. Mako
4. Rip Ride Rockit
5. Hagrid's
🧐
Great list!
Rip ride rocket is so bad. The mummy is better.
@kmccurdy21 the forces are great though you seriously can't look past it?
Those are 2 fair points.
I think kraken's second half is overrated the vertical loop offered no forces (like basically all vertical loops) and the corkscrew was just okay
@@HugeRMCFanBoY-bx3od Present day I agree with you, but not as it used to be. That 2nd loop was one of the few elements I have been suprised by with positive g's. When I rode it after the refurb, it wasn't even as good as Montu or Hulk's second loop. I am not a verticle loop die hard, just what I felt.
@GregBatte I'm talking about kraken even before it was trimmed heavily
Alpengeist opening year looked amazing in the 2nd half.
My list (NO DISNEY) as a Florida native coaster enthusiast:
1. Velocicoaster
2. Iron Gwazi
3. Hagrid’s
4. Mako
5. Montu
6. Cheetah Hunt
7. Sheikra
8. Hulk
9. Kumba
10. Pipeline
Only complaint about your list is no cobra’s curse, that blows the water out of some of your bottom choices.
That one was in the next 5.
Interesting to see how high you place White Lightning, and kumba over hulk.
White Lightning is one of my least favorite coasters (its my 3rd least favorite woodie in general)
White Lightning has run great the past few years.
2:54 wish I knew that going in lol
Surprise!
Having lived in Florida for the past 6 years, I have ridden almost every coaster in the state, alongside a handful of defunct ones. Here's my personal top 25:
1. Iron Gwazi
2. VelociCoaster
3. Kumba
4. Montu
5. Incredible Hulk
6. Hagrid's Motorbike Adventures
7. Pipeline the Surf Coaster
8. Cheetah Hunt
9. Mako
10. TRON Lightcycle Run
11. GOTG Cosmic Rewind
12. Kraken
13. Manta
14. Ice Breaker
15. SheiKra
*Dragon Challenge Chinese Fireball & Hungarian Horntail
16. Mine Blower
17. White Lightning
18. Revenge of the Mummy
19. Expedition Everest
20. Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit
21. Space Mountain
22. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
23. Rock n Roller Coaster
24. Tigris
25. Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts
Mako that low is a crime against everyone who has ever existed
@@HugeRMCFanBoY-bx3od I've ridden Mako a lot, and I just find it to be a mid-tier B&M hyper, a ride model which I've never been the biggest fan of. The first drop is excellent, but I'm a much bigger fan of positives and ejector airtime rather than the floater airtime Mako offers.
@mackenziefritz8169 that's fair I guess
Yay! I'm not the only one who gives Tron the edge over Cosmic Rewind!
Great list!
Thanks for the explanation.
Did you ever come off something in Florida with a headache? For example:
Kumba at Busch Gardens Tampa
SheiKra at Busch Gardens Tampa
Montu at Busch Gardens Tampa
Cheetah Hunt at Busch Gardens Tampa
Expedition Everest at Disney's Animal Kingdom
Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket at Universal Studios Florida
White Lightning at Fun Spot Orlando
Mine Blower at Fun Spot Kissimmee
Yeah Mine Blower before the recent work.
I feel including dueling dragons / dragon challenge is a bit odd as it’s been closed now for over 14 years and it was very rough in its latter years, it also wasn’t as epic when they stopped running them at the same time
It wasn't rough for me in my last rides. I definitely miss it.
Slinky over Rock 'n' Roller is crazy. One thing you didn't mention is Slinky's horrible queue outside in the blistering hot sun with little cover. Waiting for this ride which usually has wait times pushing 2 hours, is pure torture.
Slinky's queue is awful, but I do like the ride.
I have my top 5 ranked as
1. Iron Gwazi
2. Velocicoaster
3. Mako
4. Montu
5. Sheikra
Nice list!
A water park version would be welcomed. In between the 6 main water parks in Orlando, as well as Adventure Island and a couple other local parks in south Florida, there's plenty of competition.
I made a video on the best water slides in Orlando. I can't do one for water parks in Florida since there are a handful that I'm missing.
Top 5 should be…
1) Velocicoaster
2) Gwazi
3) Mako
4) Montu
5) Rocket
…..
Nice list!
Can’t wait for my vacation to Orlando in 2 days, plan on hitting 28 coasters with 23 of them being new, it’ll be my first time on iron gwazi and I don’t see how it can be better than velocicoaster
Have fun!
Imagine leaving:
with a headache
breathless
What are the differences between the two? What do you think?
Headache is throbbing head pain. Breathless is when a ride is so wild it leaves me speechless.
It’s a shame that you can’t access the secret song input on some of the cars on HRRR anymore. I can’t ride that ride without listening to Limp Bizkit
It took longer than the past when I used the secret playlist a few weeks ago, but I was able to use it.
I find it ironic both the best coaster at Disney and the best coaster at Universal are launch coasters that feature Chris Pratt.
It's quite funny.
My number one coaster is Velocicoaster but I have not ridden iron gwazi yet
Those are the top 2 in the state.
There both so good but IG tore me a new but hole. The death roll feels like it shouldn't exist
It's an epic inversion.
Hollywood rip ride rocket #8? It’s not in my top 30 😂, I’ll still ride it
It's janky, but I enjoy the elements and music aspect.
Velocicococococococococococoaster, or Iron Gwatter?
Gwazi
Rock n roller>>>> slinky dog cmon buddy
Personal preference (and I'm admittedly biased since Slinky is a favorite character of mine).
3:25 espesh got me crying😂
It's a fun helix.
The log flume is so much better then the water coaster.... I wouldn't call Gringotts a good "coaster"...
Splash Mountain is the state's best water ride.
@@CanobieCoasterI was referring to Dudleys as it's coaster like.
I hate slinky dog 😂
Too long of a wait?
VelociCoaster and Iron Gwazi are truly a duo to be reckoned with, might be the best 1-2 punch of any US state.
*Massachusetts has left the chat:*
I think they are.
Wsjsydye pap did fr kia2 it’s a33 higher
What?
@@CanobieCoaster oh oops I didn’t even know I typed that wth
florida is such a nice state for country's
Great state for coasters.
@@CanobieCoaster i ment rollercoasters lol
Awesome video. Visited from the UK back in October 23 and rode nearly all of them with my 9 year old.
Sorry you missed Space Mountain. That ride is always popular.
Space and Rockit are janky, but neither hurt and I like the forces they offer.
I have yet to ride Guardians, Tron and Iron Gwazi. I'm hoping when I come back down for the opening of Epic Universe, I can knock those 3 off my list. Great vid, BTW!!
Thanks!
Just had my last day at BGT today! Awesome to see how all of the state's coasters stack up to one another :) [except cobra's, sadly closed for my visit]
Cobra's had a lot of downtime for me a few weeks ago as well.
Great video.. my top 5 is veliocoaster, iron gwazi, mako, montu and kraken
Nice list!
All these rides look like a lot of fun. I'd like to ride stuff at the Harry Potter area. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The best section at IOA imo
It's an amazing area.
7:59 :)
Whoops lol
