Sorry but I've experienced both and I'd rather hold on to an electric fence then be tased ever again! I was hit by 3 separate tasers a few seconds apart while having a bad trip! Now I have no feeling in my left hand with the exception of my pinky and PTSD thanks to their tasers and improper use of zip ties instead of cuffs. And I'll add that all this happened while face down with my hands behind my back with one officer with his foot on the right side of my face, and I have the picture of the boot print to prove it. I have been tased and pepper sprayed, each once total and each at separate times, willingly. Getting tazed didn't hurt at all. Pepper spray only really hurt once it got in my eyes. It was like burning my head but when it went into my eye, that's when it became unbearable.
Don't let anyone incapacitate you, because you don't know what might happen. Unless of course you do know what might happen, and you want that thing that might happen to actually happen, in which case don't get incapacitated in a way that will give permanent physical and/or mental damage.
