Extremely informative, seriously people give it up for this guy: not only teaching us about the products but actually TESTING the products on HIMSELF. STANDING OVATION MY MAN. God forbid he ever changes his marketing technique to “I’ll shock myself with the new stun gun 5000 at x number of subscribers!”
Jokes aside though, very informative, I’m getting a keychain seeing as it’s clearly effective and compact. The sound of the electricity alone seems loud enough to surprise someone into running away. Shock value I’m sure is a big aspect of making attackers think twice. Definitely surprised me when you first set it off lol. Noisy cricket from MIB. Kudos and rock on man 💪🏼💪🏼

The amount of energy delivered in each pulse is measured in joules. By listening to the volume of the snap, and observing the size of the arc, you are doing a nice intuitive relative measure of energy delivery. The very thin, quiet arc is very low energy. The reason why we talk about energy instead of power, if I deliver one watt of power to your arm, then that will just make you slightly warm. Depending on how concentrated that spot is.
1 watt of power is one joule of energy delivered over the space of one second. If I deliver that one watt of power for a tenth of a second, is still one watt, but now it is only a tenth of a joule.
But if I deliver one joule of energy in a pulse, and the pulse only lasts 50 milliseconds, that is the equivalent of 200 watts being delivered. Now repeat those pulses at 10th of a second intervals, or 10 pulses per second. That is going to hurt like hell. But it's still only 10 joules over one second.

A watt is a measure of power which is the same as energy in a unit of time, and in units this is 1 watt of power = 1 joule of energy produced per one second. So 1 joule over 1 second is 1 watts, and is 5 joules produced over 1 second is 5 watts. 1 joule produced over 5 seconds is 0.2 watts. But for stun guns the issue is how much charge is produced per second (intolerable pain produced is said to be caused by 1 microamp = 0.000001 Amps) To get watts, multiply volts x the amps available.

Wow, this is the first time I see a person reviewing stun gun and test it on himself. By the way, not sure if stun gun put a person down on the floor as a punch into the face, I would measure the effectiveness of a stun gun by comparing a knock out punch

That’s very true Ian. I trained in the martial arts for many years and have taken thousands of punches to the face, and I can say that being stunned by the stun guns was very different. There is two things to remember. The first is that these are meant to be pain compliance self defense tools, the pain and sound will make an attacker break contact. Some, but not all may cause the attacker to lose their balance as well. The second and MOST IMPORTANT, read the instructions. Many of these need to be recharged each month for an hour or whatever the manual says, even if the stun gun was NOT used. There is a few incorrect videos going around showing guys that say it does not do anything or does not even hurt.. The reason is they fake the videos with the stun guns that have NOT been recharged and have low battery voltage just to produce an initial spark in the video to fool people. These are a good self defense option paired with another self defense tool either primary or back up.

It's crazy how this thing is just so effective for self defense and id say way better than having knife because if u stab someone with knife on a spot that won't kill them they can keep fighting back for example the shoulder or arm this won't even kill em this simply will give u probably the upper hand advantage but stun guns? This thing will completely scare off the enemy if u try to zap it on the air and not only that if u stun someone with it for around 5 seconds like the video said it's enough to take down someone unconscious probably and even if u don't hold it for 5 seconds this will give more traumatic damage to an opponent than knife they will be scared to continue fighting u once stunned by it

Thanks so much for watching, David! I really appreciate it! Stun guns are great, but I’m always just a little leery to recommend them for self-defense purposes because some are much stronger than others and if your attacker is on a drug like crystal meth, they may not be as effective. I definitely prefer stun batons that provide you with an additional striking weapon if the stun isn’t enough to take down or deter your attacker. I also highly recommend learning self defense techniques in addition to carrying any weapon. I hope you have an incredible weekend and I really do appreciate your comment.

I know a bit of electronics, enough to craft my own diy version of stun gun of 400kv output with cooper wire, some parts taken from an atx pc power supply, a ferrite core from old AM pocket radio, a piece of pvc pipe, epoxy resin, 4x 3.7 volts lithium ion batteries 18650 and after testing on my self ( i am used to deal with high voltage ) and i don't want test it again, it hurts a lot.

What type of stun gun can a person carry to stop an aggressive stray dog attack if a high pitch repeller won't work? For instance if the dog is deaf or is immune to those type of repeller devices. I've seen so many dog attack stories and my son walks to the bus stop for school every morning and sometimes there's a stray dog in the neighborhood. I am purchasing him a dog repeller device but I've seen so many videos on UA-cam whereas the repeller is not working on deaf dogs or dogs that has gotten used to the device and it just doesn't work on the dog anymore

Hi Zara, I don’t have any experience using a stun device on an aggressive animal, but from everything I’ve read, they sound pretty effective. Why I like stun guns vs pepper spray. A stun gun can leave you with a good volt where you at. Now pepper spray you would have to literally catch the person close to their eyes. And after that they can run into traffic and get hit by a vehicle and you can face a manslaughter charge or worst.

I dunno if you can tell how many amps are flowing through the electrodes just by the sound. I have a Van de Graaff generator that can generate deafening lightning bolts @ 300,000 Volts, but it actually generates mere micro-Amps of current. Just use a cheap amp meter and find out that way.

Stun guns. Looking to see an active use test on them. Especially the baton stun tools. What happens when you need to defend yourself by a few good hits before you may get in a position to use the stun effectively.

It also means that someone who, either by training or by drugs or by natural ability, can withstand large amounts of pain without reacting... Well, you are going to have a bad day if you are expecting them to just drop to the floor and roll around.

Thank you so much! Your comment just made my day! You’ll definitely have to check out my video this coming Weapons Wednesday because I test out one of the stronger stun batons. It’s hard for me to watch because you can see my anxiety in it, but it’s a good video. Thanks so much for watching and for your comment!

Sir , as soon as you picked up the First stun option , I was saying in my brain ... Noooo !! You not gonna stun ur self !! By a female no less , funny !! Gurls use ' tools ' also !!
You answer the very question s I had about testing , length of time , and only to the air , I've acquired a few different options over the last several yrs , only not able to decide as yet . Thank you !!
That snake option interests me tho , ima small person , and ppl fancy mucking on to small ppl , up close and personal option necessary. also .
    Enjoy ur content !!
I still can't believe you did that tho , it's kinda like getting gassed each yr.
under contract , no trig words here .

Thank you so much for your kind comment Tanya! I really appreciate that! This coming week, I’m actually releasing my new stun gun video I just recorded where I get shocked by one of the big ones. The way I see it is that I just want to make sure they are effective before we sell them on KarateMart.com. The snake bite one is great because it provides you with an additional weapon in case the stun isn’t enough. And, as I mentioned, it’s important to learn proper self defense techniques to help you as well. Thanks so much for watching and have a great weekend!

Thank you for responding @karatemart . Since age 19 , I be 64 now , I've needed to learn , practise and know how to become efficient in tactics of Self Defence bcuz of my chosen career field earlier in life . as I've stated , I'm a small person . I've never received marshal arts training ... a turning back kick will not help me out of close contact assault , so I've been told , and/or instructed , I have knowledge of only simple moves at this point .
Thank you for teaching me about self protection , useing ' modern ' tools . my personal options are of more primitive nature .
On of my questions ? I made an inquiry as to ' range ' useing a stun option , is it simular to a taze , or are both tools the same , I'm only learning and wish to find an option , modern , that has range beyond only up close and personal , so to say .
I'm in need of a tool to deploy Before anyone attempts to put their hands on me , due to my age and physical limitations . Any thoughts about that Sir ? I'm Most willing to hear ...
      and to learn .

@@tanyahuntley9366 hi Tanya! I hope you are having a great weekend. A weapon is only as effective as the person trained to use it, so beyond anything, I would find a really knowledgeable self-defense instructor in your area. There are so many martial arts out there that you will want to determine which one is best for you. I can’t really suggest an ideal weapon for you because each has its limitations. My initial thoughts make me think that pepper spray may be your best bet. Thanks so much for watching!

@karatemart , thank you for respond ing sir. . one of my frustrations is that there are no options available for marshal arts instruction in my area , we here are quite rural in comparison to lower states .
Basically , I've been learning , body and mind engaged , thru UTUBE tutorials , by woman and men as to self- defence . and I practise the suggested moves as best I can .
My ability to be and stay vigilant has recently been tempted up 3 fold ( I'm Not fearful in any way , no critical thinking under Unhealthy fear ) and I'm now my well being and contented life is being threatened , minimally , this notes to me that harder days to come our way and my intention s , only to be Prepared !!
I come to you bcuz I literally have no truth of any here , not even police officials who were or are still of dd214 status ..... * no trust
I much appreciate to support an American Business and to learn from men who have no contempt for females of my status and nature .
I most fancy to learn from empowered Men and Women who have respect for individualism .
That - scorpion. - option tho will be a first purchase next week , for sure !
I've also carefully chosen a couple other tools that could easily , effiecently , suit my needs .
      Awesome !!
( btw , ppls don't often afford me any time to actually Speak , thus , sometimes a book in my comments )
Again , Thank you for your guidance Sir !!
