Thank-you for this. I'll be trying the 312 next year with three club-mates. I've ridden the Femenia a few times and the Puig Major once. The rest will be a new experience !
After riding around that area a lot and along the 312 I honestly can’t say I recall a single water fountain. I’m sure if there was one there would be a large hoard of people queuing for it. Would be great if there was though. If I am wrong and anyone knows, please correct me.
There was plenty of food and fuel at the stations so getting by something isn’t really a worry. It’s the business on the first 2 stops. It’s so busy, even if tourists want to skip it, you will have to get off your bike and walk through the traffic jam. So it will take some time to refill at them. I would advise carrying as much as possible to miss at least one. The rest from then onwards are much calmer and quieter with good supply
That’s fair enough. The temperature is really nice at that time of year so for me, heat acclimation isn’t an issue. Generally around 25c during the day, colder in the morning. But yes if worried about plane delays, best to go earlier.
I would highly recommend attempting the 225 if you think you can do it. You get to see pretty much all of the good bits that way. As I said in the video though, you don’t have to stick with the distance you have chosen. If you make the time cuts then you can go as far as you like.
Ah sorry! When we signed up we had a few hours before it was sold out online but maybe it sold out faster this year. It might become one of those events where you have to be ready as the places open

That was a great overview. 👍I’ve done it three times and each time I learn something.
It’s a great event!
Great video with a great breakdown of the event.
I hope to do the 312 in the future.
I hope you enjoy! As long as you book on the day the tickets are released you should get a spot
Great video. Thanks. Very helpful
Nice seeing you at the Moloko Canyon event, amazing vid! Thinking of doing this myself now😅😅
Hey!
It’s certainly a big challenge but worth it!
great video, thanks for posting
I’m glad it could help
Great clip! Thx 👌 Did you see any small water fountains along the road to top up the bottles?

Jersey for 2024 is not mandatory, but the new style "wristband" will be...
Good to know, thank you. I haven’t signed up this year. I’m glad they haven’t gone too far with it.
Hoping to register for April 2025 312 will be trying for the 225km found your video very informative. Did you find the feed stations adequate.

Nice vid- add "Mallorca" into the title, should help with UA-cam click throughs
Thank you for the tip. I appreciate it!
Carbon soles & gravel 😱
Tell me about it!
How early do I have to be at the start to get a place in front. Without VIP ticket.
It’s tough to say as I didn’t get there that early but I would try to get there before 5am. That would easily get you into the top 15%
@@cyclingunboxed i am preparing to use a plastic sack when waiting for the start.
Do you suggest to come 3days before the event or thursday and friday is enough?
It just comes down to cost of flights really. I don’t think it makes much difference unless you are coming from a very different time zone
@@cyclingunboxed I have plan in terms of warming and last year heat acclimatization. Also if plane has delays etc.
That’s fair enough.

Recommendation for booking with regard to the quota?

@@cyclingunboxed I mean the registration and saving a Spot. Read that all spots were gone within minutes.

Were there many crashes?
I did see two. Both before Soller.
1st on someone just had a slow speed slip of the road up Femenia
2nd one was someone going too fast down puig major
This was great! Super useful content thank you. Got an entry for 2024 and getting nervous but excited now! Maybe see you there 🚴♀️
They give all the clothing that people leave behind to local charities
Ahh good to know, thank you!
Didnt know that. The first 5kms looks like massive a cycling yard sale
I think I am in pain just thinking about it!!! 😵
Nice up speaking in
every sentence?
