Amazing. Thank you for making that video! And the scenery looks truly awesome! I got to stop sitting on my hands and organise something like that. All my friends have kids but when there's a will, there's a way. Super helpful again, thank you!
6:59 where is that! I've been to Mallorca before and am going again in April 2024. LOL 60 KM rest day Ahh you experienced riders don't know how crazy that statement is. Very interesting in the cold water recovery.
Thanks for all the useful tips and inspiring clips! May I ask how you were dressed as I too am going End of January in the northeast and weatherforecast shows me average tempretures around 10 to 12 degress...?
@@TheCyclingSomm i was wearing regular spring long sleeve jerseys with a thin base layer underneath. When going out in the morning i also added a vest on top to stay warm before the sun got me warmed up 🤜🤛
Great video! Thanks for all the insights 🚀 On thing (not that important) I agree, is that a slightly fucked up rental car is great, because of the beautiful, narrow little roads in some area’s of the island :)
Very informative! How did you transfer the bike from your house to the airport and from the airport on Mallorca to your stay? Best to fix a Van taxi or something?
Great Video - very informative ! I am thinking of going on a long one way route on a bike and returning by bus or Uber back to my hotel. Do you know if the bus driver will let you on the bus with a bicycle / alternatively is Uber avaialable in Mallorca ?
@@marekczapiewski7869 glad you enjoyed it. I dont know how it works with the bus but ubers are available in most areas if i remember correctly. When its a bit remote i guess it can be a bit tricky finding one tho.
@@klein-concept I think that’s a pretty good average cost taking into the fact that it’s Mallorca. You guys were on holiday, no biggie with treating yourselves! 😀
Thanks for the tips! It really helps :) Did you also find any group rides community that anyone can join? I am planning to go by myself and wondering if I can ride with other people.

It actually was. I think my friend paid around 25 euro per day for his rental bike. In regards to food we kept it pretty cheap for the lunches with home cooked pasta most of the time but for dinners we tried out some slightly more expensive restaurants to celebrate our rides a bit. But if you need a baseline price i would say that 20 euro per day per person should cover pre ride pasta and after ride chicken dishes cooked at home.
holy bananas - a 700 m up-a-wall-climb. 😬Kudos for being courageous enough to ride it down, knowing full well you have to get back up it afterwards. I have done 2000 m elevation during my rides, but never like this. Very impressive. What gearing did you use? EDIT: forgot to ask - how much did you budget for food and consumables?
Thank you. I was riding a 50/34 and 11/32 combo. For food it was a bit all over the place. While we could have stayed on a budget with pasta and chicken all day every day for around 20 euro per day per person, we also checked out some really good restaurants to celebrate our successes haha 😂😂. So that added another pretty good chunk on top of the bill.
Epic. Loved it. Thought it will be a struggle given that it is around 1kg heavier than the bike i had on the island beforehand. But it was great and really good fun.
I wish flights were as cheap from Norway as from other European countries! It should be as winters here are longer and colder 😜 BTW, what is the brand/name of your bike box?
I can imagine you might need that escape the most to get out of the Norway winter. The bike box is from probikeshop they seem to have branded one themselves.
@@klein-concept That’s over £4,500p , a lot of money, if I had that sort of money I think I would speed it a little wiser but if money is no issue with you then I’m only a little jealous , ok you saw right through me = a lot jealous, personally though I think I would go for the option of getting a Brompton and having that gentlemen in Scotland to put his Rolloff 14 gear option with 18 inch wheels and belt drive = would be good for road and mountain = truly a bike for everything. @@KavanOBrien hehe no no no money is of issue here. 🫣 I m more keeping my eye on the second hand marker but looks like they hold their value pretty well.
@@klein-concept As said I would go for the guy in Scotland to upgrade an original Brompton would be much more versatile and have more fun, having a lighter bike is not as enjoyable as have a bike that can go on road and off road.
Hast da leider recht. Allerdings bieten die beiden airlines keine offset gebühr an. Muss also jeder für sich schauen ob und wie man da einen eigenen beitrag leisten kann. Der comment hat auf jeden fall zum nachdenken angeregt 🫶

Thank you. Yes go for it. You just have to book it and take it from there. Even if its just with one other person it will already be worth it.
Thanks for sharing the breakdown Michael. Mallorca is definitely on my list👍🏾

Thanks for your inspiration! Definitely have to do the same one time. How long would consider Mallorca to be in the off-season - up until march/april?

Unter 200€ für hin/rückflug ist unverschämt billig, für so einen riesen carbon footprint. Hauptsache Spaß.
