Man, that engine is tiny. But I really like the detail Benny goes into while explaining the processes he's going through. Very thorough. I dig it. Cheers, Benny :)
Some pro tips in there, particularly about the use of sealant. I've seen quite a few OHC engines that have fried the camshaft because some genius spooged about a ton of sealant on it and blocked all the oil galleries. I would also recommend changing the water pump and idler pulley/tensioner when changing the timing belt - it's amazing how often a previously fine water pump will fail after the belt is changed.
Yeah, the engine is only 657cc. It's tiny, meant to fit in with the 660cc kei car regulations. Stock, it made 47 kW (63 hp). Or so Suzuki claim, since that's the maximum power limit of the same kei car regulations. Japan have been known to make dodgy claims to get out of stuff like that. Like the 276hp Gentleman's Agreement. By the end of it, there were cars, like the R34 GT-R, making about 330hp stock, or, as they claimed, 276hp.
You can clearly see, that Benny is pro. Knows what he is doing, and knows how to explain clearly what he is doing and why. Nice stuff, always liked Benny. 😊
Welcome to the You Tubes, Benny! Bout time you got your own show! Looking forward to watch what you got coming up for us. Love your work! Glad you're doing this.
Unreal channel, been following MCM since the beginning and it is great seeing Benny making his own awesome content. Great new space for filming also 👍🏻
I've always used a sheet of glass & valve lapping paste to dress the surface of a head or blockend to end at the same time to get it even. Never tried just a stone.
The worst part about watching MCM, Benny's Custom Works, and Skid Factory videos is the overwhelming feeling that I was born and raised in the wrong country.
Quality work and quality video Benny. Nice tips. Easy to see why you, MCM, the Skid Factory and Tuning Fork all get along. Top quality viewing. Thanks.
Great episode of the F6A Cappuccino engine rebuild and only a Monster Sport cylinder head gasket and non of the other goodies made by Monster Sport Japan
Great video Benny, some great info here! Would love to see an unedited cut of the disassembly and reassembly, itd be a great reference for not only mine but other cappo owners!
I don’t know what it is, but your vids Benny are just awesome and relaxing to watch. Your very informative and explain stuff very well. Great vid Benny
I love that little car. I've always wanted a tiny rwd car that would take a Yamaha 3 cylinder engine from my snowmobile. 9000rpm 180hp would be a ripper
Nice work Benny! It's nice to see the right way to do things... Although it would be really cool to see some mods to that tiny motor, a turbo upgrade would have been pretty easy with the engine out?
Benny, what what’s that gold 10mm socket you used on the sump bolts? Looked like one I wanna have in my collection... Any thoughts on doing a episode on handy tools and products you recommend?
THis is sick! keep the small cheap cars coming Benny, i think MCM have lost their way a little lately by going more and more expensive mods and cars, alot of us fans dont have much money and we start with old cheap cars cause its all we can afford. Keep up the mad work bro!
AS any woodworker would tell you.You must true up the Stone before you use it.Also use a vegetable oil as petroleum oil dissolves the resin in the Stone, A piece of plate glass with 220 wet dry glued to it is better. Any Biker will tell you to true up cases like that. I always scrape with a sharp wood chisel as I do not like grit in engine. One method to see if the head to block surface is good is to use carbon paper and shelf paper. Tighten the head to the block then remove and look at the paper to see if the carbon transfer is consistent. If not then Machine it.
Oi Benny, couple questions regarding stoning the block. What grade stone would you recommend? My block isn't too bad but I'm going mls so I'd much prefer if it was as flat as possible. My manual states the block warpage limit is around 20 thou but I'm gonna be shooting for no more than 10 thou. Do you reckon 1000 / 3000 oil stone would be suitable? It's for a 3sgte so no hate pls
would you ever want to go "big block" with a Matiz or SS80 F8B/C?? im sure an extra 140mL would make for a reasonable bit of extra torque with a heap of boost??
Would be interesting to swap in a Triumph Daytona 675 engine into a Cappuccino, close to the stock CC, but considerably more juicy sound, get an upping from 47kw to 92~95kw
Do you make any consideration to flattening/smoothing the stone, or do you think that it's not required for this process? I understand that if you don't flatten the stone, it tends to wear in the centre and end up wearing the sides of the block more then the centre. What methods would you suggest to flatten if it needs doing?
Seeing you put a Carborundum stone to the block drives me completely insane! Please tell me why you are certain no grit is left there? I would only dare such stunt on completely stripped block, that can be hot cleaned afterwards? Is This the G10 engine also used in the Geo Metro, though with a double cam head head? You just said "F6A", looks like the Geo Metro though, but obviously with a smaller bore.
Great video guys. They are getting better and better on each one.

Benny makes that engine look smaller than it really is.
Was thinking. Either that is a bike engine or Benny is a big boy.
Nah, its just that small hahah
Just finished watching a video of people reconditioning V12 German tank engines. I thought he was working on an oil pump...

Thanks for the upload Benny! 😁😁 Love the new work area!
Great tip on using the stone to flatten the head but don't forget to periodically flatten your stone.
Watching Benny is like watching a heart surgeon doing an open heart triple bypass. He is sooooo good at what he is doing.
Bcw vs MCM vs skid factory vs nugget garage! This is an awesome time for Australian automotive UA-cam channels. Edit: and TasTuned!
don't forget TasTuned!
Why am I only just finding Benny’s channel now!!?? Hell yes!
Quality stuff, as expected! Keep it up bud
I love that U build the correct way and don’t cut corners. Benny. U R the MAN!!! 🧨💥💪
You can clearly see, that Benny is pro. Knows what he is doing, and knows how to explain clearly what he is doing and why. Nice stuff, always liked Benny. 😊
Those stones are good for file finishes in panel beating aswell 👌👌
Congratulations on the new workshop
Welcome to the You Tubes, Benny! Bout time you got your own show! Looking forward to watch what you got coming up for us. Love your work! Glad you're doing this.
Unreal channel, been following MCM since the beginning and it is great seeing Benny making his own awesome content. Great new space for filming also 👍🏻
Same, I also love watching the skid factory and the haltech videos with scott (tuning fork)
Nice to see this rebuild of an f6a and the cam box seals. I need to replace my cam box seals on my autozam az-1 with same engine.
The block is so cute next to Benny! :D
awesome to see a video on a cappuccino. Seriously my favourite car
Whoever does the editing for that intro did a frickin amazing job 👍
I remembered the F6a to be bigger than this in real life, Benny has dwarfed it down to one of those haynes engine model kits.
Everybody is getting a channel! Awesome!
You're working on a 3 cylinder and Al is working on a 12. What's he overcompensating for?
Hahahahahaha
small kick stand!!!
Loving the BCW channel!
when using the oil stone method with the pist0ns in put a smear of grease around the top of the piston and bore, no grit gets into the rings.
excellent tip with the soaking of the stone Benny
I wish I could give more than one upvote. Can't wait to see more :)
Cant wait to see where this channel goes. Looking good so far.
I've always used a sheet of glass & valve lapping paste to dress the surface of a head or blockend to end at the same time to get it even. Never tried just a stone.
Awesome mate. The new work space looks awesome.
We use exactly this process including razor, oil stone and wd40 for preparing mating surfaces in high precision jigs assembly
Really enjoyed watching this one!! Great job!
The worst part about watching MCM, Benny's Custom Works, and Skid Factory videos is the overwhelming feeling that I was born and raised in the wrong country.
Individual cam boxes instead of a valve cover is bloody genius.
This was class Benny
Cams built into the rocker cover? That’s pretty cool!
Benny your a great presenter! Keep this stuff going you will definitely succeed with your own show.
Quality work and quality video Benny. Nice tips. Easy to see why you, MCM, the Skid Factory and Tuning Fork all get along. Top quality viewing. Thanks.
Thanks Benny.
Nice one Benny, well done!
Loving the content so far! I like that there are a couple of projects going on at the same time
Love your work benny. So informative and professional.
it's good to clean your deck, you don't want a dirty deck! ( say with kiwi accent )

Turbo yoda is gonna love this motor in his ride on mower, just gotta get it back from Millsy...
Good job Benny and G
Starting coarse and finishing fine. who told you my bedroom technique?

Ah yes, that fine Chanel Eau de Cappuccino
Hi ben, just found your channel. I have been watching mcm and the skid factory for sometime now and glad to see youhave yourownchannel too.
What sort of power can these little engines put out?
Beautiful new shop space. What's the over-under on that floor being a wreck within 2 months?
I love the intro tune is there a full version 😉
Love the video mate.
Have to attempt the same on my F10A shortly - cheers for the inspiration.
I have garage envy now :)
When using the oil stone, did you remove any alignment dowels from the block?
those camboxes are interesting. Never seen that before. Are the cams mounted with bearing caps in there like on a "traditional" DOHC engine?
Thanks Benny for your wealth of knowledge, great tips for rebuilding an engine, love the videos, great series 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks for the content!! This is amazing1!

would you ever want to go "big block" with a Matiz or SS80 F8B/C?? im sure an extra 140mL would make for a reasonable bit of extra torque with a heap of boost??

Have you seen the video of the VFR800 swaped Honda N600 ? Pretty similar idea.
Yeah seen it, it's cool, though they did just keep the stock transmission etc and not use an adapter etc
Great vid dude. Job done right.
Hey Benny, just wondering, you tightened the head bolts to oem spec's, but you are not using the oem head gasket, does it matter?
Cheers m8
The bolt size and thread on the bolt make more of a difference than the gasket itself.
Hmmm, Marty and Moog have there door on the opposite side. Coincidence ? I think not...

Always wondered: Why is the intake between those headlights so tiny on these, when a wider one would fit the overall design much better?
