    This video, as well as others in this series, have been super helpful in enabling me to help out some elderly neighbors who can't afford professional repair services.
    I volunteer the labor and they just pay for the parts (when I can, I throw parts in, as well).
    Thanks for helping me, help others!

    This was far and away better than most how-to videos on UA-cam! Only improvement I would have liked to see was better visibility of how to get those top panel screw covers off

    This video was extremely helpful! I fixed my washer in 30 min! I didn't think it was the switch, so I pulled the outside of it off and checked the pump. The pump had a sock in it. Pulled it out, put it all back together and it works perfectly. Thank you!

    My first washer repair. I thought I was going to have to buy a new washer, not worth paying a repairman to fix a 9 year old machine. I watched this video and decided to give it a try. The pump came right off with no pressure. When I filled it with water it leaked out pretty quick. I spent $39.99 on a new pump and the install was as easy as taking it apart. Problem solved and I feel pretty good about doing it myself. Thanks for the video, it made my day.

    This was very useful - however, if there is a little pile of rubber shavings under the washer you probably will need to replace the coupling as well - as you have got the water pump off it is not much more of a job to remove the motor and check that coupling - if it looks worn might just as well replace at the same time.

    This video was a great help to me recently. I'd like to add that if the clips are really hard to reinstall, there are a set of dog ears on the top/bottom of the pump that makes the job of prying the clips back on much easier.

    Haha, I was so dumb to not look for a video how to replace the pump. Took off the back first, disengaged all kinds of wires. It was fun until I ran the washer and flooded the laundry room because the water level silicone tubing had a loose end. Great video, wish I had watched it before having too much fun.

    I took the motor pump off and it doesn’t appear to be clogged. It spins when I put my finger inside it to manually move it. Could it still be broken or could it be the actual motor powering it?
    I’ve already replaced the lid switch, that didn’t work. Thanks for the vid

  • @Britcheflee
    @Britcheflee 11 років тому

    PS make sure you have a container under that pump when you remove the rubber connectors - gently ease off the lower hose and allow the water to drain out - there is sure to be a fair bit in there!!

    I am unable to understand how to put the body back. Does all the body go on top of the frame. Also you show how easy it is to just set it on. On my washer the sides flare open when I push one side in the other comes off. What am I missing

      Unfortunately, we can't usually do videos on demand, because it takes us several weeks to get from sourcing the appliance and the parts, researching the repair, filming, editing, putting it through quality control, and uploading. However, keep in mind that if no video is available for your part, you may contact us at 1-877-477-7278 or chat on our website www.appliancepartspros.com/ and we'll be more than happy to assist you with the repair. You can post questions on the Question and Answer section of the specific part page to receive answers from our techs. The best part of using our technical support options is we provide the service for FREE.

    I replaced the pump and put everything back together and then started a load of laundry and my washing machine started to violently shake back and forth on the spin cycle which it had never done before. I don’t know what to do but all I did differently was replace the pump. The machine is level as well so it’s not unbalanced.

    • @appliancepartspros
      @appliancepartspros  5 місяців тому

      What is the model number of your washer? Is it only doing it during the spin cycle?

    • @ashleychiampi
      @ashleychiampi 5 місяців тому

      @@appliancepartspros it is a whirlpool LSC5000PQ1. And yes only during the spin cycle.

    • @appliancepartspros
      @appliancepartspros  5 місяців тому

      With what you have described it sounds as if the washer is unbalanced. It is possible that a spring may have came loose.

  • @karenhuynh6403

    after I unclogged a sock from the pump, put it back, the washer is spinning but still won't drain the water. What's the problem?

    • @appliancepartspros
      @appliancepartspros  10 років тому +1

      It could be the pump impeller was damaged by the sock. Pull the pump off then put a big screwdriver in the motor shaft spot. Then try and turn the pump while holding the impeller. If the impeller does not turn with the shaft you probably need a new pump. Also check all the other hoses for clogs.

    my kenmore needs pump, its 30 years old and i think my part # now is too old because my model # is not getting any info. my model# is 110 4225090, is there a new number that can match this one so i can get the right part. please would like your advice.

    • @appliancepartspros
      @appliancepartspros  8 років тому

      The model number does not come up so either it is too old or it is incorrect. If you have a direct drive washer like the one in this video then it is a good chance that this is the correct pump. This pump was used on most of the direct drive washers back then. If your pump has larger hoses and a check vale then this may not be the correct one.
