generally the only hormone therapy given to minors is puberty blockers. sometimes you can be 16+ for actual HRT, but i’ve only heard of this happening in very few cases. these people think every five year old gets forced estrogen shots 😭

its like they only get their knowlege from other people online rather than from a professional or by doing some actual research its been pissing me off for years now im 24 and id have killed for some puberty blockers would have saved me a lot of pain
fr, I had to be 16 to get referred to a specialist who then had to meet with me quite a few times and do tests to make sure I was physically healthy enough and refer me to a psychiatrist so they could make sure I was 100% certain about my transition and after all that I was almost 18 when I was able to start hrt and we still have to monitor my health to make sure it’s still safe. So it’s so obvious that these guys haven’t even done a single google search
Well it's Very important NOT to conflate the two things as they are vastly different!!!.... Puberty Blockers have nothing to do with changing anything in a persons body!! It just slows/pauses the persons puberty until such a time that they are an adult and can make the choice/ decision to start hormone therapy to transition.
And of course the hormone therapy is something that does change stuff in a person's body that are most always permanent and not reversible!!!!

This reminds me of when I went to the supermarket with my brother after the 5p carrier bag charge came into effect, and I was using the self checkout. He was stunned that you just scan your bag, because people could just walk off without paying for them. I had to remind him they could do that with all of their shopping 😂

I'm an American, that lives close to a mass shooting site, Pulse. it forever changed my neighborhood. so, they can take all the guns as far as i care.
I was in school at full sail when pulse shooting happened. I lost two friends and one later by his own hand from the trauma. I am so fucking sorry you were directly impacted and I will always be proud of how Orlando handled it… not the damn governor but it was beautiful to see your neighborhood and surrounding come together. I live in vegas and know some of those who died and don't share your sentiment. Though I'm not against gun legislation. There's a problem with people in this country where they want to police everyone who isn't like them. Stop the killing not the second amendment. Let them continue to push the idea that guns are your problem why they actively work to keep you poor and mentally and physically unhealthy. If mental health isn't the problem they don't have to do anything about it do they?

@jn1540 well, you just need to Google it (unless you want to open a constitutional law book). Like in any constitution, some rights in the USA one apply to citizens, some apply also to legal aliens and some others even to illegal aliens. I am not denying of course that non-citizens have less rights (I myself have lived more than 20 years in countries from where I do not have nationality), but not all rights in any Constitution are reserved to citizens. That is just not like law works.

That applies to basis liberties like fair trials and free speech (in other words things that are already not very limited). Non Americans don't even have a right to public trial in many cases. Not sure it is unfortunate: note that presidential systems are simplistic and divisive by nature. You will find it unfortunate only if you do agree with the President. Parlementary systems are much more sophisticated and mature,based on the principle of consensus. Of course they come with their lot of practical issues, nothing is perfect.
