So I’ve actually seen this before. It’s possible her fire alarm has been triggered in the past by smoke rising from her stove. I’ve had it happen lots of times. The sound of the smoke alarm is very painful for dogs, so they will quickly learn that the smell of smoke means pain. My dog hides every time anything burns in the stove or oven. I feel terrible every time and it’s yet another reason to be careful in the kitchen
dogs and other animals can sense danger / cataclysm even before it happens, so that means she doesn't belong in the kitchen

One of our dogs was afraid of (or just didn't like) the smell of smoke. Every time we lit the fireplace or my dad smoked his pipe (which he only did because he thought the dog's reaction was funny) the dog would run upstairs and hide.
The same dog was also afraid of the sound the oven would make when something was sizzling. One time I put some meat in the oven to roast and at the same time put the dog's food bowl down next to the oven and a minute or two later the meat started sizzling and he got scared and ran upstairs. I had to coax him downstairs with cheese but he ran right back upstairs to hide and had to eat his dinner later.
I'm not sure how one would acclimate the dogs to the cooking at this point. I was able to teach one dog a long time ago not to be afraid of thunder by cheering every time it happened, but in this case not only have the dogs already been convinced that there's something scary going on in the kitchen, but they each have each other reinforcing the idea. Each dog is seeing the other one cringing and thinking, "That dog is scared, I must be right about being scared."

0:25 it may be due to the fumes coming off of the nonstick pans. That sort of thing has been known to kill birds so maybe dogs are sensitive to it as well.
Or if not necessarily sensitive to it, perhaps they smell that something isn't right. Making them wary that it could be dangerous, whether or not it actually is. To my understanding at least, those fumes are only really dangerous to smaller animals.
Its because they're scared that the fire alarm will go off.
@@klavden I had a dog who was terrified of the fire alarm. She didn't seem to care so much if things were happening that might set it off. But if it did go off, she'd be trembling for like ten minutes after it was silenced.

@@jerseyjoyride1316unfortunately UA-cam is focused on one thing. Making money. If the video is uploaded by a popular UA-camr that makes them lots of revenue then they could care less if they occasionally use a copyright or so.
But for regular uploaders that rule applies still.
UA-cam still has some cool creators and channels but it's dying and a lot of people are leaving. Corporations ruin everything they touch....

The tire thing reminded me of something I saw on the news today. So a dude was walking into a store, and right when he closed the door behind him, a huge circular saw came through from a construction site across the street at high speed and hit that door. Seriously, if he was like a second late, he would have been cut in half. It happened in Oregon, I think, if you want to look it up.

@@kevingallineauii9353Judging by the sky, it seems like a relatively cloudy day. With evergreen trees around, it probably is cold enough in winter that trees normally lose leaves. I might not be a geographer, but it looks like a cool day, and the soil looked somewhat moist. Essentially, I dont think the soil is hot, dont worry.
@@briishcabbage568possibly. Digital cameras, like on a smart phone, have auto-irises. It could have been a lot brighter than it seems. The cat did not seem to enjoy the sand in any case, maybe it was not comfortable with the texture or grittyness.

She came close to dying.
That first one happened to me once, but fortunately it flew off the side of the road and nowhere near anyones' car. Pulled up to a stop light on an interstate, and my front right tire kept going while the rest of my car stopped. Turned out the dealership rebuilt the front of the car from scrap parts without notifying the Carfax after it had been in a front end collision.

One of my elementary school teachers died in a freak accident when I was in fourth grade. The whole school drew chalk on the brick exterior in her memory. Hearts and things. A tire just flew into her window. It’s was on the mass pike. It is still unknown why this happened. Her husband in her passenger seat was injured but not killed. She has two daughters. Shook me up too.
