Man I can not tell you enough how awesome your channel is. I would put you up there with Quinn’s Ideas as the best lore channels
Heard of this channel from the great star Trek lore love you did fallour!
Hey it’s great to see you cover a Fallout video especially my favourite faction the BOS
the brotherhood are the best chance for humanity! ad victoriam
Well put together video subbed
Fantastic video.
Fallout 76 brotherhood of steel at fort altas with steel dawn in 2104 year
Thank you for including the Brotherhood from Fallout 76. Their story was a great addition to the lore that a lot of people online refuse to include. There are a lot of introverts who hate playing with other people and pretend that Fallout 76 is not canon as a result.
no fr it’s a competent game with a mostly good story. for something that is virtually ftp i do fuck with it from time to time.
comment got me reinstalling rn
I am one of those people
It’s not a matter of being introverted. It’s the buggy launch, bad merch, cash grabby nature, and the fact that it took resources from ES6 or a Fallout 5 and put it into an originally horrible-later mediocre MMO
Is it really that great of a lore inclusion
I played 76 on day one it seemed very much like you had to have someone help you, but I put many hours into playing alone. Why I don't like the 76 bos lore is that it takes away previous cannon. In the original games the brotherhood was only on the West Coast coming from the military base after they executed scientists for experimenting with fev on people. Never did it say they somehow contacted people on the East coast. In tactics a faction of them get lost and are unable to communicate. In 3 Lyons got a promotion for making it to the East Coast so with there already being brotherhood it makes the accomplishment seem less impressive. Some of 76 contradicts other lore so I say it's probably as cannon as tactics because no game seems to mention anything that went on in it
Great video
Was Vualt Tec and other companies known to be using vaults to experiment their ideal society something already known in Fallout or did the show kinda confirm it?
That was new info. What we knew from the games was that the Enclave worked with Vault Tec to conduct experiments. We didn't know about the other corporations.
@@CivilizationEx hearing that and seeing Mr. House really kinda gives the Fallout Universe some direction. After kinda resetting every few decades following Fallout 2, (sans New Vegas) its nice to see some progression happening in the universe again
@@diegoprodriguezWhat do you think of the Mr. House ending of Fallout New Vegas possibly being canon?
I’m a fallout player that supports the brotherhood of steel through the Fallout timeline.
I started to be a supporter & a Fan of the Brotherhood faction after I noticed the California brotherhood has T-51 Power armor & Fallout 1’s game cover by interplay. Through the fallout timeline in the games & their story requirements with them change over the years with new equipment & it’s a struggle doing so.
That title made thousands of fallout fans cry out in anguish, before realising it's about the BoS history and *not* the game.
I have a question are you doing research based on Canon stuff or anything related to the brotherhood I want to know
Mostly game canon, but I also use semi-canon like the Fallout Bible. If I ever mention non-canon material like from Fallout Tactics, you will hear me say "Possibly" or "Theory", talking about it as a possibility but not certainty.
Hey man, great video, but you misspelled the B.O.S. its spelled
"Brotherhood of steal"
Kenshi soundtrack at the start.
Just hearing it makes me start up the game again.
War never changes

I know they've been in every Fallout but I wish Bethesda and the show stopped making them their golden boys. Give other factions a shot. I know in the show the tides of war change and the East-West BOS re-unification is what defeats the NCR so I'm not mad about that I just hate idea of Maxson's fanatics rampaging California taking control of New California's factories and hospitals.
They'll just ruin what other civilization there is.
Imagine a Fallout game where it focuses on the NCR or Mr. House
@@TheSilverShadow17how about a Fallout game with the Enclave being the good guys as they are, or and this is crazy, NEW factions with NEW villains instead of the same ol shit

AD VICTORIAM!!! JAMAICAN CHAPTER OF THE BOS, STEELY BROTHERS!!! FALLOUT JAMAICA!!
I have such a dirty mind i read the thumbnail as Brothers of seed 😳
Arthur Maxon's brotherhood robbed settlements of their crops in Fallout 4 so I wouldn't necessarily say he values human life that strongly.
Source?
@@iisling Fallout 4 is the source lol. The armorer sends you to "demand tribute" at local settlements and to get some of their crops, by any means necessary.
@@oddiethefox5832 alright, so notice how you don’t necessarily need to use violence in that situation. And even if violence was necessary, it would still ultimately be for the greater good considering the brotherhood (or the minutemen where they are peaceful with the brotherhood) is the canon ending, where either the brotherhood destroys the institute or intends to, but the minutemen get there first. Taking crops from a few small settlements doesn’t make them evil considering it is ultimately in the benefit of the entire commonwealth.
@@iisling I knew you were going to make that point. Yes, you do not HAVE to use violence or threats, but the Brotherhood authorizes you to do so, which is equally bad. That's like saying it's okay for the US government to have a law to allow the government to forcibly take crops from farmers, as long as they don't act on it. The fact that law exists is not good.
Ultimately, the "greater good" is always subjective and saying it benefits the "greater good" is really just a way to say "the end justifies the means."
The Minutemen actually contribute and help EVERYONE (who aren't raiders or the institute). They protect farmers in the same way they protect people in large settlements.
The Minutemen rely on cooperation whereas the Brotherhood relies on their strength of self. The Brotherhood doesn't want to rely on anyone but itself and that's why they will always be self-centered. Elder Lyons was the most morally good Elder of the Brotherhood.
