    This is 100% true, my homie Ethan Gander went viral on a tiktok that has over a million views and literally EVERYONE in the music industry wants him to come to their label. Because they see the song has so much potential and a well established artist, they want him on their side. He's taught me so much and everything in this video is well put together!

    Artists must understand someone must invest money and time in a new. How do you get return on your investment in a new artist? As a manager there must be a vision and strategy for the artist to win and generate a buzz and eventually sales. That said artists must be packaged and developed which takes time and money. Artists need to work together with other artists to create a and creative vibe. It's better to have a small show that successful than a large show that gets shut down. Had show equals bad investment.

      If you go viral in a good way its a foot into the door and can be done with good music and content costing less then 5k.
      Becoming a sound on tiktok or something with a catchy line or something stupid is also a way to get known (one you have to have a lot of luck with) but in a time where streaming doesnt pay the bills anymore its far from a sure way to fill venues.

      I thk you need a marketing coach, strategist, consultant, whatever you want to call it. If the music slaps, you can get away with making your own graphics on Canva, getting a friend to film you on an iPhone 13 pro. Someone on marketing can show you how to tAke what you create and how to make it go far for less. But if you create everything and don’t know what to do with it - that’s a bust. That’s what I thk.

    • @zekayjay14
      @zekayjay14 2 роки тому +3

      Love this question. Most people don’t have the capacity to create a song a week. Or have stored up content that they haven’t dropped yet. The method will be hard to sustain. For independents, y’all are doing everything. Marketing, social media, creating, etc. and if you are doing that + releasing & PROPERLY promoting, you will burn out fast. But if you do create as fast as a single a week, you will get seasoned as hell and will see some growth in your craft. I don’t think there is a right answer for independents. I would start with what does your capacity look like and start from there - and be realistic. That way you can set yourself up for success.

      A management company or a marketing company. Google them. Most labels have their own marketing team. Another way is to google the artist album credits if you’re looking for a specific team. Wikipedia list marketing, creative direction team under the album credits. Also, join a marketing or some type of professional organization. They will have networks to link to the appropriate people.
