Audiobook 3 - A Storm of Swords - Epilogue - Introduction of Lady Stoneheart
Merrett Frey arrives at the ruins of Oldstones with the ransom for his cousin Petyr Frey, who is taken hostage by the Brotherhood Without Banners. The Brotherhood has already hanged Petyr for his involvement in the Red Wedding. They take the ransom and prepare to hang Merrett as well...
This is one of the best moments in the entire series, David and Dan are idiots for not including this.
+TheDarkSider To be honest, the original plan was for Aegon to join forces with Dany then invade Westeros, so that was at least partly correct. It wasn't until the Golden Company learned that Dany hadn't moved from Meereen (and Tyiron's advice) that convinced them to strike west.
If you only knew back then brother, if you only knew how big of idiots they actually are...
@Gr8sc0tt Also using Dany and Viserys as a distraction for Robert.
It was actually some other guy that made that decision, on the grounds that it didn't attribute anything to the story and themes....which is even more idiotic.
I can NOT believe HBO missed the opportunity of including SUCH A BADASS character!!! lady stoneheart was amazing and a shocking twist. They changed the whole plot in the TV SHOW....arghh im so pissed off.
I can only imagine how you think the last season was 😂
There was an episode in season 6 with Beric and the Hound where they kept panning out on the river and I thought for sure her body would show up.
This was one of the biggest WTF moments in the whole Song of Ice and Fire.
Absolutely. So many climaxes in A Storm of Swords, you think you can't get any more excited but then comes a cake, a gauntlet, a crossbow or a Lady Stoneheart.
i think LS is suppose to symbolize the curse that comes with the breaking of the sacred laws of hospitality. Sadly i also think that GRRM is only planning to use her as a way to get rid off minor characters specially the freys since there are so many of them. i would not be suprised if she dies and stays dead pretty soon
There was 3 BIG moments in book 3 which made it the best book in the series, the red wedding, "only Cat" and lady stoneheart
Main 1 there was more than that there was red wedding. purple wedding, tywins death, lady stoneheart, jon snow becomes lord commander
+Matthew Williams I got goosebumps at "Stannis, Stannis, STANNIS!"
This was an incredible ending to book 3, and could have been one of the biggest and most amazing cliffhangers in TV history, but the moment's lost. IF D&D decide to bring her in next season, most of the non-readers will have been spoiled anyway because of the fan backlash and idiotic media sites like EW posting spoiler-filled articles mere minutes after the season finale had aired. What a wasted opportunity. But hey, we got to see Arya on a boat, right?
And now GoT is over. What did you think? 😂
@@basedchimera5859 Amazing first four seasons. Fucking tragic spiral downfall in season 5 on
I will bring Lady Stark back.
The North remembers.
I love that Lady Stoneheart hangs the Guilty with no mercy, showing the same sort of coldness as they did to her in the Red Wedding
i really hope they remake the series and make it more close to the source material
Please God let this be in the show!
Hmmmm...
Hmph
I’m so sorry Zach.
Poor Zach was never heard from again the season 8 finale broke him body and soul.
Yeah, this was the biggest shocker in the series for me. I hope they do her justice on the show.
Hmmmm
@@randomclonetrooper6445 Thanks for reminding me of my disappointment lol
I cringed too hard at this... We all expected better than the shit we got
the second half of ASOS is the best in the series.
A Frey dying is always a good thing.
If HBO dont do this, I riot
Have fun rioting
fml
Why the fuck to those fuckwits D&D have rights to this glorious tale. They shit on all character development.
Start a riot, please!
Its riot time guys
i think they will definately introduce Lady Stoneheart, i cant see how it can be avoided, they have already intoduced the brotherhood without banners and there was really no huge reason to unless it was to bring in Stoneheart, plus Brienne and Podrick are now on the road who's path must cross with the brotherhood, and lets face it, we all want to see the Freys pay for the red wedding, i think it would be a mistake not to introduce her now. We all want it, my thinking is she will BE REVEALED in one of the final moments of season 4 leaving a huge WTF cliffhanger, and will promote Lady Stoneheart reactions for us all to watch on here LOL
*****
Lol, I don't mean they will show her revived after all this time, Thoros we will see first maybe with a captured Frey member and when they reveal Stoneheart there will be a quick speech explaining how after 3 days they found her, maybe showing some flashback sequences, , Sansa in episode 1 of season 4 stated that they threw her mums body in the river they just HAVE to bring her back, well we will know in a few weeks eh , fingers crossed
*****
The show doesnt need to explain when she was revived, they can leave it to assumption, episode 10 is called "children" sounds like something important for lady stoneheart, theyll show the brotherhood judging the Frey soldiers and she'll just pop up, they'll be hanged credits will pop up, and wait 10 months.
I assume it'll be the final scene of the season.
If you rewatch this season, Cat has been name dropped a LOT. Like 2-3 mentions in each episode.
I agree, what are those story lines leading too otherwise, unless they have another member of the Brotherhood do you know what (I know, if people were worried about spoilers than they should not be watching this video but, meh) I also agree with TheUnknown285; last scene of last episode. How I think it will go though; We won't see the brotherhood find her. Episode 8 has come and gone (I know, the pain is still fresh) so hopefully in ep.9 we will have a couple of scenes with the Fray's mentioning how Petyr Pimple is being held captive and then the final scene of the season will be Merrett walking to the ruins talking to himself for exposition (and to show he his drunk) instead of the internal monologue from the books and that is when she will be revealed, like in the books. As to why I think we will see her in the show; Foreshadowing. We had it with the trials by combat and we have had Bran telling the Reeds about the Rat Cook right before the Red Wedding happened. The Gods can not forgive. Also, Lena heady has been giving out sneaky spoilers.................And if they don't give us Lady Stoneheart we revolt.
Crazy how they killed peter pimple for being at the red wedding when he was passed out drunk.
The North Remembers
They REALLY should've included Lady Stoneheart in the series.
well the sacred laws of hospitality were broken its only normal that the freys got to pay the price too after all the sacred laws are sacred. still i wonder what GRRM plans to do with her i mean why did he bring her back i dont think is just to kill. and i also think that jaime will be kill by her i think they will meet but he will escape so that makes me even more curious about why GRRM revived her
3 episodes left. There is still hope
:\
😂
So pissed off right now it's untrue. Why the hell did they leave that out
RIP Roy Dotrice great storyteller
where did you find this picture!
With all the rumors surrounding what could possibly happen in the final 2 episodes, Now is the time to introduce her.
FULL ON SPOILERS FOR THOSE THAT DON'T KNOW THE ENDING OF A DANCE WITH DRAGONS
Okay let's hope you're not still reading this if you don't know what happens. So basically we all know that Jon Snow is about to get "For The Watch'd" So why not have the ending of this season be him dying and then having Brienne and Pod run into her. Pod's actor says something in the finale will break the internet. And Lady Stoneheart has not been deconfirmed for the show, which is what some articles say which is false. I'm hyped at the possibility. But I do realize, if she doesn't show up at the end of this season, we can safely assume they done goofed and not included her in the show.
Seriously HBO, do it. Please. We want her to appear. How much do we have to beg to get her in this show?
Sadly I believe she's been cut.
Septon Meribald has me hyped for CLEGANEBOWL, but Lady Stoneheart is probably as good as gone. Which is a shame.
Reading all these comments from people desperately hoping that she will be in the show makes me hate David and Dan all over again.
@@randomclonetrooper6445 It's depressing to read. A painful reminder of the heights the show could have ascended to in its final seasons had it not been mercilessly smothered to death by a couple of narcissistic hacks.
Wheres the rest of this audiobook???
Lol, I don't mean they will show her revived after all this time, Thoros we will see first maybe with a captured Frey member and when they reveal Stoneheart there will be a quick speech explaining how after 3 days they found her, maybe showing some flashback sequences, , Sansa in episode 1 of season 4 stated that they threw her mums body in the river they just HAVE to bring her back, well we will know in a few weeks eh , fingers crossed
The last half of season 4 is going to be the best episodes in the series. Episode 6 as we saw shae fucks over tyrion, episode 7, little finger is gonna do something we all wanted someone to do episode 8 the red viper vs mountain episode 9, big death (as usual on episode 9) then episode 10 we get re introduced to Lady Stoneheart
Sadly, nope
Flying Spectacles Yep, some great moments in the last two episodes but also very disappointing moments and missing scenes. It worked so well when they made the Viper fight the Mountain exactly as described in the book but then in episode 10 they had to change everything. People are often called whiners for saying "it's better in the books, they shouldn't have changed it" but normally it's just the truth.
I didnt enjoy the finale because i was just waiting for LS to appear, it was a great finale but yanno...
OK they were underwhelming...
Nothing definitive yet, but sounds like the show runners are considering not doing Lady Stoneheart all together. Time will tell, but one of them already said that he doesn't really want to since, in his opinion, it cheapen the tragedy of the Red Wedding. In his mind, he wants to leave her dead and lease it at that.
Do you have a link? Because if one of them said that, well...way to miss the entire point of the Stoneheart character. Her existence actually heightens the tragedy of the Red Wedding, and if the showrunners can't see that then I can only assume they read a different book series.
Well, I can't seem to find one and it seems to be mostly hearsay, damn you internet. But I guess that is all to the good given that they haven't come to an apparent decision on the subject. With the reaction the book fans are having, my guess is they won't underestimate the 'need' for her.
*Spoilers*
I don't understand the person who said that. In what way would it cheapen the tragedy of the Red Wedding? It's even more tragic because Catelyn has turned into a real monster. Also I wonder what her part in Winds of Winter will be (remember the last Jaime chapter!) especially now that this rumour comes up that they want to cut her character out of the show.
SPOILERS
As I understand it, there are some (not me) who think with Catelyn's return the tragedy of the Red Wedding becomes half as much. Both Rob and her die there and if her story were to end there, it is a far more shocking and stronger story for the show. They feel that the magic of the event is running rough shot over the realism of the show with dragons and ice zombies.
I hope this scene is at the beginning or at the very end of the first episode of Season 5.
I'm 99% certain it is this season.
Revenge is Coming!!!
So scary :D
sins never die
Who narrated this?
CallusDnb Roy Dotrice, he also played the pyromancer Hallyne in season 2
Ronin5B Ah right! I just listened to all of the Dotrice audio books, i'm on the final chapters of ADOD.
He sounds different in this for some reason, that's why I thought it was a different narrator.
Where do you get the Audiobooks from?
Nathan J Hupton They’re on iTunes
Anyone know the specific POV chapters LS appears in?
A Storm of Swords - Epilogue
A Feast for Crows - Chapter 42 - Brienne VIII
Danny Grinuk The thing with LS though is that she's a classic horror film character. You don't see her that much, but you see and hear of her dirty work. It's creepy as fuck.
Id have to say the first new Brienne chapter is the one Im most looking forward to.
Danny Grinuk Jaime, Brienne, either or.
Would of been dumb to include this. Would of watered down Jons revival.
Well what's gonna happen with Jon in the books? Will that be watered down too?
As cool as the idea of this seems, it would be really hard to fit this whole plot line into the TV show and make it work.
If it works in the book, then it should work in the show based on the book. But I do see your point, they can't really introduce her now
And they hated...
