I feel bad for the folks who think that this game is just button mashing. Every single character and transformation has a unique move list and different combos. I’m using Teen Gohan and maaaaan! This game is awesome!
not true for every single character , example all goku z end chars have the exact same move set ,only difference is the super , skill and ultimate moves
Love how you actually put the buttons on the screen as you do the inputs! I’m a Mortal Kombat fan and this looks exactly how it is in that games training mode. Really wish Bandai would implement that feature for the visual learners. Just subbed and turned your notifications on btw bro!
3:50 but it’s good to hit them away like that and do a special move cause they can’t move and any attack becomes unblockable. Really good if you have some one like Cell,Frieza or Cooler and your able to shoot two death beams dealing massive damage
I would introduce the low sweep after the four square hits when throwing the enemy into the air with triangle up. After the low sweep, when the enemy is down, you can giant throw them by pressing triangle up while enemy is on the floor, and finish your combo with a super or something similar.
Yuhhh, appreciate the guide. I already know how to do some regular combos, but I never knew about the Ki Blast reset (probably because I never played the older Budokai games).
People complaining about combos being the super similar for characters gotta remember theres over a 100 characters. Not every character and transformations going to have a different entire movesets. Nobody doing all that work. If you want character uniqueness play DBFZ. Even then fgs aren’t going to make all their characters completely different for everything. Least most
Bro this video was amazing and so insightful. Nd I love that you put the button on screen. I honestly thought you had a couple hundred thousand subscribers bc you made this tutorial better than most of all these popular UA-camr. I subbed just because of that.
This good but some characters like ZBroly do that lil hop kick later in their combo sequence once he transforms in SSJ. Super Broly doesn't have it all, and neither of them have it in LSSJ forms.
Haven't played Z broly yet but he is a heavy pressure character where you have to constantly chase your opponent. Ill see how he is in sparking zero but in bt3 he's top spot for 1v1's.
It's all fun and games but don't learn the "combos" that hard... Super Counters are a thing (previously named Z-Counters) and we also got Revenge counters, not even mentioning most rush attacks are not safe, just a couple of them are not vanish-able, learn the safest combo's and read your opponent, use strategies, and be aggresive
Bro please make it to tutorial how to Z vanish when somebody hit you and try to knock you back and you have to keep doing the counters until You run out of ki
to the people really good at extended combos, timed parries and timed vanishing...am I the only one who feels some of my commands are not going through, as if I have input issues? especially when it comes to r1, X & square together, and the r2 combinations. and sometimes I spend minutes just reviewing my timing and I know i'm getting it right as i can often hit 3/4 vanish in a row, but sometimes i hit the buttons and fart, nothing happens. often I have them dashing instead of respongin to the 2 button input or get the parry when i do the r2 + O attacks... and i'm playing with a wired controller on my pc so i shouldn't really get much lag. is it just me or does this happen to other people? it's kinda screwing with my learning curve as I learnt where the timing is but actions don't happen half the time I press buttons. before you ask this controller works perfectly fine on all games including timed shots on nba or high frame dodges so I'm not getting wtf is going on
Not rly, ki canon is good in some situations , you can follow up, or you can use ki canonc and use instant transmision or ,hold x until you unit have this aura around you and do vanishing unblockable hit that sends them flying
Is it better to use classic controls or the recommended for the long run? I haven’t played a dbz game since budokai 3 on the Wii so everything is new to me
Use standard. Classic is only good for people who have the muscle memory built up from previous Tenkaichi games. I use classic because of that but honestly, standard has the far more logical button placement.
You don't, unless when you have that little frame of time between strings or charged attacks you manage to pull of a super counter, for some reason it works when your back is turned too
FYI you can’t cus side stepping or countering can be countering I can’t even move on untangled games the game is dead to me not fun needing to know 1000 button combinations
Super counter, revenge counter, and the RB dodge are your main tools to stop a combo. Revenge counter is the only one of the three that doesn't take precise timing, but it does take 2 off of your blue bar.
can someone explain how when i get put in a combo from behind or even front i cant recover and have to eat it till i get pushed away but when i get someones from behind they can easily break it ? is there something u have to press is it just timing ur dodge ?
finally somebody that puts the buttons, thank you good sir, this hands down the best tutorial ive seen on combos, def earned a sub

@@Deathscythe91 I’m really talking about the combos and how you can mix them up they may be similar but from what I played they are different.
You’re a nooob!
They all have the same moveset tho. The only thing unique is the transformation and skill set.

Took a while to edit but mortal kombat combo buttons is the best to learn imo
@Fatdog_98 Budokai 3 has that in their training too, I'm surprised they didn't add it here. Maybe they forgot

wait fr???
Your the literal goat of this game, learned more from you than any of the in game tutorial. Preciate it goat 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿😭

Thanks you, played and grinded many FGC titles, but never an arena fighter. Want to get good enough to enjoy the game instead of mashing.
Love this tutorial simple to understand when you put the buttons on the screen. Liked and subscribed
Thanks bro, do u think u can make a video on counters and vanish as well?
Especially super counters, I can never get those right on my own, always accidentally
Sure, i know most counters except for revenge counter becuase they switched it from bt3. Counters requires a lot of explaining but ill break it down.

3:53 this one though, really good for shooting supers at them.
you can kinda use kiai cannon to actually do a short dash and then throw out 3 ki blasts
Thank you so much for this tut I finally can get some movement agents the opponents
thanks for including the buttons im looking forward to more vids!
i subscribe just because you put amazing effort on the input button on the video. thumbs up
really great video, I had a problem where I was good at like punching tp ki blast and do that almost all match, but you upped combo game nice :)
hope u get famous and dont need to work 9-5 anymore. great vid thanks
LOL
Awesome man ty
Real fans know this because they actually played the Tenkaichi games.
Imaginge gatekeeping an old ass game. The furure is now real fans are far and wide
no one cares boomer
@@grilledleeks6514 bro ur also unc ur account is 11 years old
Bingo
I mean I didn’t know how to do this in bt3 tbh lol
subbed up bro thanks for the tips can’t stress enough how much you need muscle memory and training
Thanks man great video
Can also reset using R1 after 4 square attacks.

ki cannon is very good for alot of reasons
Ki cannon has follow ups if it’s charged

It's hard but you're right, ki cannon is good to unblock the opponent. for some reason im finding it hard to follow after ki cannon.
@Fatdog_98 yea sometimes it's knocks them down sometimes it knocks them up sometimes I follow sometimes I can't
Damn great video!
Pls make a Broly (S) combo guide, my baby boy feels like he has zero combo potential.
How to chain super attacks with these combos ? Btw great video ! !!
Nice tutorial
What controls and setting do you use if you mind me asking? Want to learn
Whats your opinion on supers / special attacks? I feel like you are not supposed to use them because they always miss and can’t be comboed often
Thry can be comboed
Often
Is it better to use classic controls or the recommended for the long run? I haven’t played a dbz game since budokai 3 on the Wii so everything is new to me
Use standard. Classic is only good for people who have the muscle memory built up from previous Tenkaichi games. I use classic because of that but honestly, standard has the far more logical button placement.
Whenever I play online rank I have a habit of always pressing perception when fighting to counter but how do you block combos from the back ?
You don't, unless when you have that little frame of time between strings or charged attacks you manage to pull of a super counter, for some reason it works when your back is turned too
FYI you can’t cus side stepping or countering can be countering I can’t even move on untangled games the game is dead to me not fun needing to know 1000 button combinations
You'll have to use Up+Melee counters (maybe R3 counters work too) but the timing is hyper precise.
@@lolschrauber I never use it I always forget I have that I always end up doing timing it and dodge their attack on time but thank you
Can you make a video about how to STOP these combo? how to defend ourself from these combo? and what options we got.

They prolly gonna fix ki cannon cuz u can’t really combo with it

Hello fatdog, I was hoping you could train me 1on1 for this game
Im on PC and in Oceania server :)
AI t following now DBZ ps player nah pass I'll get tips from Xbox players
Did you get a lobotomy or somethin
My controller doesn't have a square button. Thanks for nothing
Google totally can’t help you translate into your buttons. But yea he definitely did nothing
just spam perception and none of the combos hit lol
charge ki and repeat
Till I turn your back at start of combo and hit u for 30000 damage
Ty for adding the buttons in the video. Hope u make more guides about defense and stuff. 🫡 subbed
