I tried looking up products for preserving flowers that are similar to the ones I used, but unfortunately I couldn't find any. All the results I got were like drying flowers, using glycerin, or using silica gel. But the way I preserve and dye flowers using a single liquid is really convenient. If anyone knows a product similar to the one I used then please let me know!

Hi guys! Thank you so much for your support on patreon like always! My wife was very happy I made her present and she uses the chapstick every day now. I tricked her a little because I asked her to try my recipe and she thought she was going to eat food, and she already said before she didn’t think it was good idea to try my recipes in my videos so she was really confused why suddenly I ask again. But when she knew I made her gifts she was very happy and excited to watch the video to see how I made them. She also made me a terrarium with handmade dolls of us for my birthday so I wanted to make something as good as hers. I don’t know what to do for next her birthday but oh man, I’ll just keep trying. :b

The gifts are very lovely. This is not to upset you or anything, just totally my concern. I like the idea that the skincare and massage oil was preserved in a beautiful jar. But the oil will be applied directly on bare skin, so:
- Is the chemical used for flower dying and preservation safe enough?
- And the beads used for decoration. I saw you poured it into the jar right after unpacking. They might contain some unpleasant impurities through the production process.
These are just my thoughts while watching your video. If you have checked them all before then it's great. If not, you may want to check again. Anyway, the gifts are adorable. Great idea! I hope you two have a wonderful day!

Watching this again with the added background context of Rachel's mental state at the time, I commend her for getting on camera to accept the gift even though she was not feeling up to it. I had wondered why her face wasn't on camera, but now it makes total sense. I wouldn't be camera ready after a panic attack either 💔
And I really hate that she was made to feel bad due to the comments. Can we all just agree that we never know what people are dealing with, so maybe try not to be a$$holes? Cool? Great.
I came to see the video she referenced as well and my heart is broken knowing the backstory of why her face isn't shown.

Oh my God, even if she didn't like that gift, she loves him. She is not a random girlfriend, she has been his wife for 6 years. If you watch their videos on their main channel you can see how much they love each other.
She sounds normal for me and you can really notice how she appreciates it... I have a fiance and they both react the same way when speechless of a gift
I'm also thinking Rachel's personality doesn't quite fit Jun's more relaxed channel, so maybe she didn't want to be overly excited on his video so as to not mess with the atmosphere?
I had no idea people were quick to assume and speculate about Rachel's reactions until she mentioned about it in their latest Q&A video on Rachel and Jun's adventures channel. She was having a panic attack and forced herself to be in this video for Jun. Please be kind and think before saying anything because words can hurt people deeply. I felt this too, and it annoyed me so much because you can see her hands shaking slightly. I can tell she’ uncomfortable but it’s so heartwarming how dedicated they are to each other. Jun putting all of this effort to make her some gifts and Rachel pushing through her panic and anxiety so she could be in the video for Jun. It was so aggravating to see all of those people being so rude to Rachel even though she was already putting in so much effort. I just hate it so much since I struggle with the same things and can’t empathize so much with what she’s dealing with, reading those were like a slap in the face and I still get heated thinking about it. Be considerate before you questions things like that.

It's ok to accept a gift without making a huge scene. I'm from the UK and it would seem strange to me if someone jumped and squealed when I gave them something - it would seem performative if that wasn't the vibe in my relationship with that person. To everyone who watches videos on Rachel and Jun's other channels it's obvious that both of them are amazing people who build each other up and are perfect for each other. Also, there's really no excuse for being so mean to content creators - yes they put themselves out there online but that doesn't make it ethically neutral to be judgmental and rude. A mean comment is a mean comment.
I'm a bit more reserved too when given a gift or a compliment.
I've just found their channels and they are both lovely people and I have fallen in love with their beautiful cats.

Came back from the other video. This is why you shouldn’t judge what reactions and vibes people give off. You never know what’s happening in their life and you could be putting them in a worser mood by leaving hate comments. Everyone has bad days where you try to seem okay but everything falls apart and you don’t have the energy to keep a happy look. Just came from their recent Q&A and I had to rewatch this video just to see which part of this is so offensive to some people.
And quite honestly, I've never thought that her reactions were strange from the first time, and now that I've watched this again, I can say for certain that this is completely normal, with or without the context of Rachel's mental state atm.
I mean, not being excited for a gift and not being appreciative are completely different things. Some people are blind as heck
And people show excitement in different ways! Excitement for one person might be jumping around and laughing, and for another person it might just be smiling.
Rachel looked completely normal, they were lucky to guess it right because they're too stupid to expect everyone they meet will recieve gifts from them with an excited, joyous expression. It's annoying to need to wear the "I'm so happy and appreciate this gift face" whenever you recieve a gift. A lot of times a person just jave something on their mind. Goddamn it's these types of people who find me weird for not wearing the same face as them for random stupid things when I was a kid and made me feel weird (no, I'm not autistic).

Ya! I recently went to Japan to visit my cousin and because I really wanted to see all the sakura, but they blossomed early this year so I only got to see a few trees (I had hoped to have a similar view as the opening to this vid). It was an amazing trip though.

im here after your q&a video and I was really sorry to hear that you got a serious backlash because you didn't seem happy enough when jun revealed the surprise. everyone has their ups and downs thorough their life and its okay to not be in the mood even if you're an Internet personality. plus, not everyone reacts the same way to a gift/surprise. I am the type of person who would jump around in joy when someone gives me something as small as a candy bar but I know that a person might just smile and say thank you when they're gifted a car or something like that. how a person reacts to certain things or what their personality is like isn't something to comment rude things about or be critical as long as they're not intentionally rude/offensive towards others or hurting someone in some way.

I just rewatched this because of the Q&A and ngl, I did feel bad for Jun the first time I watched this video. For me it was the moment with the chapstick when Rachel laughed at it and then it seemed like Jun had to justify the gift to her. But this is all a good reason to remember our places and boundaries. R&J are good people who clearly care a lot about their viewers, but at the end of the day they do not owe us anything and we are just random people who are privileged to see what they decide to share with us. Videos do not capture the full picture of life, and Rachel doesn’t have an obligation to perform for us how we think a good wife should be. Her love for her husband exists independently of what we see, and we have no right to demand she prove it to us. You’re valid as heck Rachel!
from the pov of someone who is an introvert with bipolar disorder (so, depression a lot of the time), the way I heard it: Rachel didn't "laugh at" the chapstick, she laughed in surprise and disbelief, like, "omg, you _made_ chapstick, you ridiculous overachiever?" Jun wasn't "justifying," he was explaining why he did this over the top thing. not trying to judge or shade you btw, just explaining how i naturally heard it from a different pov :)
