Hi Ray do you think the new changes to Kaplan help test takers? Thank you

The INSTANT aid is to folks like myself, who live in other jurisdictions... if the exam is wide enough on being remote, we will be able to test without going to California.
The NCBE is dishonestly Objective - sure there is only one answer which COULD even be correct (I checked all 810 of the most recent retired MBE's), but the problem is - and I believe this is WHY a lot of people miss a good number of the questions - is that the "correct" answer is not so good, or flatly sucks. No one in their right mind would go that route, and it is the only correct answer!
I have been all over CalBar to ensure that the MCQ's are HONESTLY Objective, and FAIR. Now that they have Kaplan creating the MCQ's, we have a better shot at it.
Further, I am also all over CalBar to drop the Written Section due to it being SUBJECTIVELY graded, when a second read occurs, the HIGHER score should be the one used - no splitting the difference, which magnifies how badly the SUBJECTIVE grading is! Further to that, when they dropped the cut score, they dropped the Third Read, which DOES have people now failing, who WOULD HAVE passed, but CalBar said that the number of people failing would be insignificant... sure, unless WE are one of those who WOULD have passed.
So, for right now? Yes, Kaplan is superior in every single way to the NCBE, and I am still working on things.
However, I told CalBar that if they took the exam back to REMOTE, and I could take the exam from Florida? I would resume testing.
The way things look right now? I'll probably be sitting for Feb 2025 forward as need be!

Their scoring is arbitrary and intended to fail applicants so they can continue to generate revenue. It’s unethical and manipulative.

Oh, you are absolutely correct! And it is worse! The MBE is a whole other level of mass corruption... but the WRITTEN side of things is a complete fraud!
The grade them without ANY need to even assign a score! They use stacks, an even number, normally six. The reason it is an even number of stacks is because the CENTER is NOT a stack at all, but between two stacks, the one to the immediate left is barely failing, and the one to the right is barely passing. If they are stacks 1, 2, 3 [PASS LINE] 4, 5, 6 - they would be stacks 3 (barely failing) and 4 (barely passing)... no numerical score is even required at this point!
Stack number 2 is solid failing, and stack 1 is absolutely failing (wrote on the wrong subject or such!). Stack 5 is a decent answer, and stack 6 is a candidate for the Passing Samples.
However, there is an OFFICIAL California Bar Report from the 1440 days, which I have - it is published, anyone can have it!... but it is crystal clear that NO ONE EVER blows this exam out of the water, because a vast majority of the "awarded" scores? Are FAILING... I keep publishing this thing... and it seems like no one cares!
Further, in OFFICIAL REPORTS, when CalBar DROPPED the score to 1390 from 1440? They also cut the THIRD READ, KNOWING that some people who WOULD have passed? Would now fail... and they said something along the lines of it not being a significant number... unless, of course, you ARE one of those people.
Also, when they cut the score and the third read... they also moved the line one to the left... NOTHING they have done has changed ANYTHING to do with the massive fraud that the Bar Exam has been since it was first created... created to keep people out!

The Bar Exam, to be an attorney, is pretty much fraud. They score the work in such a way that people only barely pass it... no one, in any jurisdiction "crushes" the Bar Exam... I have been working on this for a number of years now... and they DID make the changes I was suggesting for the First Year Law Students' Examination... the one Kim K. had to take, so I am just pushing to get them to admit the whole thing is just a scam, and fix it... even the American Bar Association - the folks initially responsible for all this deception - are supporting alternative methods to admission as an attorney...
I wonder if it is just that they know the jig is up!
