Always like a rusty ork painting scheme! Very easy and quick method! And that "brushdrying" tool your Missus gave you is Brilliant! Keep up the good work!
Nice (/nasty?) job on it, last ones I did I tried stippling matt varnish where I wanted the rust then tipping rust coloured weathering powders on the wet varnish. Let it dry then brush/blow the excess off, it works quite well.
I also use Coat DArms rust which is a reddish brown like the old citadel swamp brown if you remember that one. No typhus on this? I find it adds a rough texture for the Ryza to stick to
Er, yeah, there is Typhus on the finished model, I just forgot to mention it lol, it was used as grime and staining near the end. It didn't need much extra texture as even the flat panels on the model are quite textured 👍
That looks brilliant! Can I ask what you do with tyres on vehicles? Dry brush greys? Sorry if that's a daft question but up until last month I'd not had anything to do with miniatures/painting in a lot of years and I've forgotten just about everything.
Thanks man 😊 And there's no daft questions, I do dry brush them grey, but then after that I'll dry brush them again in the same shade as my bases (which are desert yellow/bonewhite) just to replicate dust. Though I can appreciate this wouldn't really work with grass 😜
@@TheDrunkenOrk Three Killer Kans now look rustier than my last car. I need to add details, paint some worn panels and base them, then I'll have my first completed unit in almost two decades. Thanks again for sharing how to do this 😊
Mrs Zen has just got one of those brush drying things! She ain’t let me use it though. She doesn’t want her face to look rusty she says
Haha, it's a fair point 🤣
