The subscription model of features is going to end up being a no-go for me and others that I know. If the hardware is already there, just have it available for use. If you want to restrict access, then don't put the hardware in place. Especially when it's something like heated grips or seat, the harness can be uniform across the range, but don't install the seat or grips with the heater elements.

Love the bike so much, it is what it should have been in 2021. Aprilia have refined it in such a way that it is the best looking superbike out there, Ducati 2nd and BMW 3rd. As far as those purchasable Apps go I wouldn't even bother with them myself. I have Aprilia's free 'Track' App on my 2017 RF and I still have not even tried it out and I did quite a few track days this year. I just about wrestle moving around and stayin' on with 202BHP, so Im not crying for 220 unless I had Max Biaggi3 or Savadori32 skills. Which I can only dream of having!

just booked a 24 model just under 18K euros as part of a black friday deal at -2K off the sticker price. The only thing pretty much that i'll miss is the new screen, all the other interventions are too little to make me change my decision. Love this bike and far as the in app situation it doesn't bother me at all. That is for those who may want the exclusive features they'll only use on the track. Far as us normal purchasers that will not bother us one bit because we buy simply to ride. And that alone is why it won't even bother most and I do get what your saying. Most companies can simply make it optional right on the bike. But you have to remember those businesses are there to make profit. And if that setup of in app will give them the edge then they are going to take it, especially when it's profitable for the company. But to the majority that may purchase those bikes. The in app won't even exist to us because simply we buy to ride.

The wings that are becoming more prevalent today are simply a waste on the streets as it’s jail time if you reach speeds when they become effective. Also, on track, whilst increasing downforce they also can be problematic when slip streaming and overtaking as seen in both MotoGP and WSB. As an ex Australian Factory Superbike racer from a few decades ago, I’ve stayed within the sport to develop young talent and still get the opportunity to take these new beast out on track so I can back up what I’m saying with real world experience and feedback from some of the current top talents worldwide.

That Stingray Blue should be on the factory model.
Also, Aprilia putting "in-app purchases" means they getting more and more like BMW and Mercedes-Benz and trying to add in subscriptions which is going to KILL their already dwindling global sales.
People buying this bike will flash it and enable the features WITHOUT the purchase anyways - it's only a matter of time until we figure out how to do it without spending the additional money.
This is so depressing because the Aprilia is the motorcycle manufacturer I first fell in love with.

Now we should probably be delighted that it has 220 hp, while some others only have 215 hp. What is it for? For some to be happy that their engine has 2.5% more power than others to make them happier, or think they'll be able to go wild because of it? Everything went in the wrong direction. Instead of working on adapting the motorcycle to various customers (enable a significant change in seat height, steering wheel height and angle, footrest height and position with accompanying adjustment of the gearbox and foot brake, etc.), unnecessary performances are driven out. To that is added a bunch of electronics, because even the top driver can no longer control so much power. Anyone who tells me it's bought to ride on the runway can, but those bikes should have an open exhaust that gives more power, without lights, turn signals and all that stuff that's not needed on the runway and they shouldn't be allowed to register. A similar story applies to cars! No one really needs a car with more than 150-170 hp, and most drivers can't handle them even at low speeds if they lose control. Today's motorcycles are a caricature of the old ones. The driver's position is bad and can't adjust, the legs are pulled back so that they don't support the body but it rests on the hands, they tell us to squeeze the tank with our feet, is that the enjoyment of driving? All this so that they don't catch the road with their legs when we lean as if we're in a race? The center of gravity is raised so that when the motorcycle is standing, it strongly tends to fall as soon as it is 5 degrees out of the vertical. Driving, which is the safest and easiest for the city, when the body remains vertical and only the motorcycle leans, is practically impossible with 90% of today's motorcycles, and with the remaining 10% it is possible, but uncomfortable due to the position of the legs. And I'm not talking about sports motorcycles only, but about all that are produced (on naked, adventure, road enduro,...). The reason is that it is expensive and complicated to make a motorcycle that can be adapted to riders of different body constitutions, while still being a design success. It's easier to make it so that everyone can somehow fit on it, and it's not really comfortable for practically anyone, but that's why it has 5 hp more than last year's model and 10 hp more than the competition. Zombification of motorcyclists in action! Have you read the book "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Riding"?

That's all cool bit Aprilla still has a huge problem! The nearest dealership is 180 miles from where I live. So soke will say oh that's not a big deal at all right? Well first you have to drive that distance (unless yours closer or could be waaay further) to purchase the bike, then maintenance and repairs you'll have to drive again and believe me you will have to visit the dealership again and again and again 😂 I've owned 2 and both had to go there multiple times for repairs NOT maintenance. 🤷‍♂️ something you need to consider when going down the European bike hole and yes European because I also owned the newest street triple moto2 and again it had oil leak issues where the dealer couldn't repair on top all the issues with the V4S&R and S1000 RR's. Never owned an Aprilia before, so even on previous models you can’t turn off traction or wheelie control? On the Ducati v4 you can turn off wheelie control (and DTC too i think). Why would they start charging people money to do that? That’s absurd LOL… maybe in the future you will need to subscribe to a “race mode” with extra 20hp or sth…

The cat being moved under the bike is a euro 6 thing , it has nothing to do with making it easier to put an aftermarket muffler on , it has to do with making it more difficult to get the cat off the bike . I know some will say who would want the cat off , but some do and Aprilia before euro 6 put the cat in the muffler , to make it easier to get the cat off the bike, as to lower weight and make more power with a tune and less restrictive exaust.

To be honest i have mixed emotions about aprilia. I am a diehard aprilia fan all my bikes that i own are aprilias and am not going to lie that in to my eyes aprilia is the best brand at least for me. The problem is that when you want to be competitive in the bikes market you have to loose some of your heritage. Untill 2024 aprilia had the same direction into their bikes evolution. With the 2025 year bike they lost some of theri heritage. 1 they sacrifice the beauty of the bike. Yes of course its not ugly its not like an r7 but just look at their last model you want to have this bike in your living room and look at it all day long teh 2025 colors its more like a picasso livery they put 5 colors on the mix for no reason . 2 yes the performance is in the top of its class but how in this earth average rider are going to use just the 50% of the abilities of this bike and i am not talking about 100% of the bike unless you are a professional. 3 the airodynamics. Givee you a better driveability but to me it makew more sense to just put a sc project exhaust and an ohlins fully electronics suspension like v4s from winglets. Its looks like i hate the new ape. Dont get wrong i still believe that this bike is the top supersport bike especially compared to a 70.000€$ Ducatis. ❤

It's a good thing I don't care for Aprilia either way. I think they're fragile & hopelessly complex, taking away the joys of simply riding a motorcycle. Add in other bits & bobs to complicate things further & make it even more expensive is just another reason I wouldn't go for it.

boring. The New bikes don't give you any satisfaction or friendship . I ride a RD350LCF2 YPVS and an GPZ 550 1st edition a ZX6R 2000.😂😅😂. More than enough power. But unfortunately in competition only winning counts. So the people who make the bikes now don't even ride them. Sorry Computer nerds . ❤❤. Also a little wel done but still boring. Computer safety.😂😂😅😂

Do you also think Aprilia's new "in-app purchases" model is ridiculous and sets a horrible precedent? Please write them feedback via their contact form (template below):
    Dear Aprilia Team,
I'm reaching out to express my disappointment with the "in-app purchase" model for the new RSV4. Riders invest in premium bikes like Aprilia with the expectation of full, unrestricted access to its features from day one-not to unlock capabilities through additional payments. This approach feels more suited to software than to motorcycles, where the purchase should guarantee a complete, un-compromised experience.
Moreover, this sets a concerning precedent. In a world overloaded with subscriptions and paywalls, it would be refreshing for Aprilia to offer riders complete control over their machines without added costs. Motorcycles are symbols of freedom, and this model undermines that spirit. I urge you to reconsider this strategy and preserve the integrity that has made Aprilia a respected brand among riders.
    Thank you,
    [Your Name]
    LET'S FIGHT THIS TOGETHER!

  • @Rracer300zx
    @Rracer300zx 18 днів тому

That’s bullshit! Zero pulled that same pay extra to unlock features crap! If I bought the bike I should have all the capabilities from the jump. BMW does this bullshit too. You have to pay a monthly fee or $500 to “unlock” heated seats and other nonsense like that. Aprilia screwed up big here.
