after owning it for almost 4 years my 2019 zx14r still scares the shiz out of me and I've been riding streetbikes (mostly Suzuki sportbikes such as GSXR's) since 1991
Love that the first bike listed is the blackbird, my step dad has a 1998 carbureted stretched blackbird and it's fast fast. It has a rectifier/stator issue right now it's been sitting for maybe 5 years, he's supposed to fix it up and have me ride it at the drag track since I'm 160 lbs lighter than him
I've got a 2015 Ninja 1000 ABS that I bought new. As sport bikes go, it's a jack-of-all-trades and a master-of-none. But I love it dearly and wouldn't trade it for a baker's dozen of turbo Busa's.
Im a tall guy and had the cbr1100xx as my first bike almost 10 years ago. Still own one today and even now its a beast and has more power than I have the balls to push it🤠
I'm happy that you talked about the history of the vmax it's a special bike in the motorcycle world I hav a 89 vmax and a 05 zx12r You can probably see were I'm going with this They are both insane but both special in there own way
I bought a 07 CBR1000RR brand new back in early 08 for $10,900. Its crazy to think used sport bikes are selling for more than that. Dang inflation hurts!!!
How’s parts availability on older Triumphs? If it’s anywhere near as bad as for KTM, “running condition” means you’re in for a much worse time than you bargained for.
04 R1 right here. That Undertail Exhaust is Sexxxy as f*ck!!! 🔥🔥🔥 ECU flash, Toce Quad slash cut full system. Evil machine and I love it! Rather have it than a new one. 5valves per cylinder, flat plane Screams like a Banshee! Pushing around 205hp
As a Ninja 1000 owner with 100k miles on it (Yes, 2014 and 100k miles on odo), it’s very quick, fun, fairly comfortable and cool. Also with abs and trc very safe I can say. But 2 things I don’t like is first one is its very heavy compared to any super sport, and second one is position is not the best for curves and performance riding. Only because of these 2 reasons I’m planning to pass to super sport again. But would I recommend? Hell yeah
If the earth doubled in size nothing would happen, since it's mass is still the same so gravity wouldn't change either. Except getting from a to b would take longer on a bike, which is good, I guess.
As riding season in my country has ended, i managed to get my hands on 2002 Honda CBR954RR. My first litter-ish. Still needs some things to get it pristine untill next season starts. But it was only 1950$. So far im happy:D
still sleeping on the 06+ FZ-1; 130 hp at the rear wheel from a detuned R1 20 valve engine for around $5k all day long; more power for cheaper than quite a few options on this list
What's your opinion of the Piaggio mp3 530? My understanding is that nothing beats this thing in the wet and the rain. I read an article about a race in Germany back in 2014 where the Piaggio passed the 1100 cc BMW after the second lap.
Good Vid, I wonder if you have ever tried the K1200s/K1300s BMW's? They are ~163hp and less than 8k or how about the competition to the KTM the Buell 1190sx?
A 2008 GSXR1000 K8 are being sold for ~$7,5k near me. 3000 mile. Actually its "mil" (10km - 1 mil). Arata full exhaust and it is equipped with all the good stuff. Some carbon fiber on it. 185hp. No clue if this is a good price or not.
My advice driving motorcycles for 20 years... If you can't rebuild the engine yourself under a shade tree, don't buy it. There is no way you can rebuild these yourself when the time comes. TurboJet engines with two wheels. Look at an exploded parts diagram some times. Even some basic maintenance is going to be a costly and time consuming headache.
I sold my titanium grey K6 gsxr 1000 for $4000 Canadian pre covid because our Quebec government increased registration by 300$ each year 3 years in a row
I had this strange drive to get a motorcycle for these past two days after seeing a bmw s1000 and have been looking up different ones. However that's where I'm gonna stop because my apartment doesn't have garages and I work at a grocery store so a motorcycle being there 9 hours a day is gonna get damaged or stolen eventually
Hey yammmie watching your videos from very long time ago when you came to india how was the road conditions specially Delhi I have a duke 390 3rd gen is it good enough for indian roads?
Wait, the 08 Fireblade only makes 150hp? Was there a difference in hp going from 08-11 to 12-16 bikes? Also, this is the first time I'm hearing it uses ti valves 🤔
I had that Honda CBR 1000. In a straight line it felt completely planted at any speed, and super comfortable due to the upright, non-committed riding position. And yes, it's true that it was fast (for that era), but it's also heavy and a real pig in tight corners and had no torque at low rpms.....
Used to love your content but these days every single one of your videos is pretty much the same… Feels like you’re running out of ideas and content so you just redo the same videos with slightly different wordings and different bikes over and over again.

did you pay less than 8 grand for it ?
2008 Fireblade and 2009 R1 are to me, some of the best looking generations from both these manufacturers.
The accurate list would be:
1. GSXR 750
Lol Gsxr 759 Can't even beat an R1 bruh.. 😂 Tf you on about?
It's cheapest and fastest for the money
@@furychallenger5275 this aint working even as a ragebait lmao
After DD40 on my licence this is perfect with the cheapest insurance don’t fancy spending 80£ a month extra for 1000cc
I can afford it if it’s free (I have committed theft)
You’ve stolen someone’s bike?
@@CBR_squid06No he stole their fine china
Don't get shot in the head when you take off with someone's bike

this is just another one of those videos that adds the youtube tax to a bunch of used vehicles that used to be cheap.
THE SQUID YAMMIE IS BACK

Nobody uses a 636 for the speed. I'm honestly surprised they still come with a front wheel stock
Fr I was about to comment something similar hate how he never mentioned how the 636 is an iconic stunt bike
I own a 2009 R1. If your half decent its the bike you want. That didn't fit assists till 2012 so its you and the machine with no excuses.
Yea because half decent actually means something, right? 100% something a squid would say.
I have 1290 gen1. It’s amazing, after I dropped 17 to 15 on front sprocket and added 1 on rear. It’s crazy, wheelies well now even with mtc on 😂
As a long term 90s VFR dad I’ve always been slightly tempted to get a Blackbird - it seems like a sort of mega-VFR.
2009-2014 R1 belongs to a different breed, man I love them
I'm happy that you talked about the history of the vmax it's a special bike in the motorcycle world I hav a 89 vmax and a 05 zx12r You can probably see were I'm going with this They are both insane but both special in there own way
I gotta 2011 r1… it’s definitely a monster
I have one too 💪🏾
04 R1 here. Love it
my 2012 scares the fuck out of me in a good way
I bought a 07 CBR1000RR brand new back in early 08 for $10,900. Its crazy to think used sport bikes are selling for more than that. Dang inflation hurts!!!
As a 2010 r1 owner i attest. Even if i am thinking of buying a panigale
Ive owned a heap of modern sportbikes but the best bike ive ever owned and never should of sold is a 2009 cbr 1000rr
5:38 Save your money and get an FZ6 for less then half that. Actually, dont.... It'll just drive the price up for the rest of us.
Or an FZ1 if you can handle it! Just picked one up a couple of months ago
Look for 10~ year old, low mileage Triumphs. They depreciate way too fast, but they're usually in running condition.
How’s parts availability on older Triumphs? If it’s anywhere near as bad as for KTM, “running condition” means you’re in for a much worse time than you bargained for.
@@Thanatos2996 its not bad and they pretty reliable anyway
The Yamaha FJR1300 should have been on this list.
in spring 2024, we bought cool 2008 Zx-14r special edition 6000$cnd (4900$USD) ,
only 2owners, and the back is stretched by 12"
Gem of a Bike 🏍
It opened with a CBR...it's a sign I need to start collecting. First bike is a 98' 919 fireblade
I regularly see people asking 10k for 2008-2009 R6’s. A dealership I saw asking 16k for some special edition, it’s insane
2008 r6 40.000km. Service wasn't done by the dealer. Had a small spill on the left side. Private seller
Dude wants 14.000€
Absolutely bonkers
@ “no low balls, i knows what i got”
You should come to Argentina. 20k USD for a used 2009 with 10k miles.
@@lucascarracedo7421 that’s regarded
I paid 10k for my 2009 r6 from a dealership. Worst financial decision I’ve made but I love that bike.
09 R1 is an insane riding experience. My favorite bike so far
First gen rsv4’s and Tuono v4’s are pretty cool too
OH MY LORD! You mentioned the Ninja 1000!

Congratz, I’ve got a 21 all black with an Akro exhaust and custom tune. Thing is a big beast, in the best way.
Gr8 vid yummy but you tend to forget about the zx12r ninja It fits between the 1100 and the zx14r the 14r evolved from the 12r

The focus on the big Kawi's is rather extensive,, except for the Versus 1k..
Basically the same engine but a different configuration. 🤷♂️
That ain't a 1st gen SD, the 1st gen launched somewhere in the mid 2000's, was it was a 990.
Also consider the VFR 1200 as a fast dad machine.
