This was so helpful! My wife and I have been talking about Brazil as our next location and Rio seems like it'll check our boxes. Especially mentioning that it was about 50% of us there! That definitely passes the vibe check.
Yes! Definitely do Río if you can. It’s literally one of our favorite cities & we can’t wait to get back to Brazil & explore more of the country 😍
I am a Brazilian citizen who's been living in the United Kingdom for nearly 20 years, and I do visit Rio de Janeiro every year.
If you live in the nice neighborhoods of Rio you will have a fantastic quality of living, the beach, the food, the people, the combination is great.
I would guess that a couple with no kids can live very comfortably in the best neighborhoods of Rio with 4k dollars (20k Brazilian R$) monthly, $ 2k (R$ 10k) per person including everything.
I recommend those areas: Ipanema, Leblon and Barra da Tijuca.
That’s great info & perspective! Thanks for adding that :) we loooooved Ipanema & Leblon.. when we go back that’s the area we’ll likely be in. We did investigate Barrs da Tijuca, but I think we got distracted by the beach & didn’t see enough of it 😅 we’ll have to scout it out again when we go back.
@@o.family.adventures Good luck guys, I was born in Paraná state but I love Rio so much, after visiting over 30 countries, Rio is my favourite place in the world.
Welcome you guys and r beautiful family! We have some social issues to fix but Brazil still one of the best alternatives in concern to current geopolitical events around the world. Another aspect U guys bringing out is about the "Institutional racism", which is the same as "Structural racism" and this second one term we use more often in Brazil. Anyway it takes a lot time to decrease this horrible thing but we brazilians are so much better than the other countries around the world when U notice for yourselfes how mixed we are or on your own words; " brazilian variety" !
Thank U so much and best regards
👍
We can’t wait to spend more time in Brazil! There’s so much history, diversity & cultural richness that we want to discover. We might even make Brazil home one day ☺️
Hey nice work
My family and I are living in Brazil currently but we are in the south in a city called Curitiba
We still haven’t made it to Rio but hope to soon
Are you all in Brazil now or Mexico?
Thanks for the video and I have some videos on my youtube page of the city we are in if interested
Another great and informative video. I didn't have much interest in visiting Rio until watching this video. Thanks!
You absolutely have to go! It is so amazing 😍
