My friend once grilled some red jalapenos he grew. I've ate tons of jalapeno in my life and it's hot but tolerable. We both like hot stuff and even a small piece of these lit us the heck up. Tears running down both our faces. That's my Jalapeno story haha

The hottest jalapeños I've had were roasted (green) ones at Mexican restaurants. For a long time I assumed it was somehow the roasting. Now, I am pretty sure the restaurants just sourced hotter peppers.

This is a great video tutorial that we tadpole chili heads can follow you through. Thanks Johny. 🤙❤️‍🔥🌶️⚡️
I have found that 'Chase The Heat' means something emotional, spiritual... to me. Like: chase a truthful, hard hitting honest life. Even if it hurts it feels better. Like, the good is hidden in the bad. Some kind of paradoxical weird yoda thing. But very real. Like listening to your conscience and intuition. Thanks for giving us a place to start.

Can't believe how long it's been Johnny, seems like peppers can/may keep you young too, as long as you go absolute nuts on them!

Serious question here. With all the peppers you eat daily, what does the rest of your diet look like? Any “meat and potatoes recipes” that include the great peppers you showcase daily? I don’t typically like eating the peppers raw as you do but enjoy adding them in various dishes. I’m a 63 year old midwesterner and only a few years ago discovered the wonderful world of spicy peppers. I’ve grown tons peppers from bell to super hots but have only made several different types of hot sauce (that are fabulous) with them but am looking to include them in more recipes.

I'm curious you should get a 5 gallon bucket throw the stems from the peppers you eat to see how long it takes to fill it up you could give a update here and there to where it is

Love the show, thanks for your advice last time. Want your opinion, I am working on my tolerance, but been eating Carolina Reaper, Trinidad Scorpion, and ghost pepper salsas, along with the same pepper flakes on everything. Ghost pepper BBQ Sauce and ketchup. Is that raising my tolerance the same as pods? Don’t always have pods so figured this was best way to raise tolerance without access to pods all the time. Your thoughts?

I am stuck on day three, the first two days had no heat. On the third day, the heat was so unbearable I stopped after 2 bites. That means I need to work on this jalapeno a little longer.

Been eating the Jalapeno and have had no heat so far, maybe I have a good tolerance for jalapenos or the store has fake jalapenos lol

Jalapenos definitely vary in heat, I've eaten some rather hot pods and some pods that were like bell peppers. You never know what you're going to get.
