Protest is basic human right and as long as they were protesting peacefully, nothing was wrong with that but the moment they used weapons against the state it became treason. The whole problem with this group was they assumed themselves as the ruler of the land.
The were anythinf but peaceful. I was there that day. Every normal citizen was scared of those fking horrible ninja women, they were swearing shielding students with guns.

I was watching al Jazeera's documentary, and the guns were brought in and provided to them by some connections of the Rashid Ghazi. The students claim that there weren't any weapons until they were forced to fight.

And when Pakistan Army was fighting the Taliban in the country, they were the ones who issued a fatwa against Pakistan Army that the Shaheeds of Pakistan Army must not be called Shaheeds but rather that they were killed where as they said that the Taliban on the other side must be considered as Shaheeds. Whatever happened to them is absolutely right and justified. Pakistan Army is our pride and forever will be. Nobody can fight the state. It is a miracle that they were even allowed to live in Pakistan.

They fought against the state with guns. Not a right way to protest. The govt after repeated calls to end the standoff were met with gunfire from the red mosque. They are lucky to be spared their lives and not treated as terrorists.
Mosques must be built. Build them on own property or on government with their consent and approval. Not on unauthorized lands. This land might have been used in construction of an old age home or hospital or orphanage.
People will support you for things you do legally. you can challenge the laws in courts.
