This Is Unreal, I Was Not Ready For -25°F

Winter Storm Elliot delivered one heck of punch, for our first night we struggled with heating throughout the homestead , but now round 2 comes friday and i fear it'll be worse .

When it is real cold like that at night, throw a scoop of WHOLE corn in for them to eat b4 they go to roost...while digesting the corn it helps their bodies stay warm....one of the main things is to feed them b4 roosting....hope all goes well...I'm in Illinois we had negative 40 and mine did fine...no heat lamp..main thing is make sure there is no draft on them

thanks for the info , every little bit helps , ive got whole corn ready for next time , glad your flock is doing great , maybe heat lamp was not needed but was our first time with relly low temps for our bird
