Great looking truck. My local area is hot for this truck I was just at CTRT and lots of the guys are talking about getting one and racing at The Dirt. I’ve used the Tekno platform’s for many Ultra4 builds and racing since 2016. The DB48 and now the LN48 have been U4 podium chasers. They make for a fun basher too so I can see some fun builds with the new SCT410SL
DUDE! I love all the footage, the drone, the top mount, the side cam, not a whole lot of that on UA-cam! And the jumps on that track are so dialed, it's a really nice spread. Car looks awesome. I'd love to build one of these some day.
Awesome review and what a great truck!!! Traded my TLR 22 5.0 DC with older electronics for a TLR SCTE 3.0 with newer electronics & batts. That will be my first foray into 4x4 SCT for now but if I was buying new... Tekno all the way!!!

Definitely awesome on indoor clay. But from what I've seen on outdoor larger track not-so-good. Seems like it needs a little more weight so it's not so floaty Outdoors. Perhaps it was a body not being vented correctly but I think it's too light
Mark Santamaria also has a review. Same issues and more. His broke... btw he was indoor. No wind to blame. I'm a huge Tekno fan and own 3 of them. I love all 3 and wouldn't race anything else. Feeling like everyone is making excuses for the issues with this one. We'll see when more people get there hands on them and do independent reviews.

So not sure which way to go yet. But on side note I went to RC madness to pick up those bullets and they are “1up” brand and charging $21 but if you go to “1up” directly they are only $13.99. Just a helpful way to save money in this expensive hobby of ours lol.
I just baught one and I'm racing on a small 10th scale track. I don't know what motor I need. I was thinking The castle 3300kv, but I see you are running the 5700kv. Is that a lot faster with less torque basically? I'm looking for something close to a 10.5 turn to 13.5 turn modified motor. Thanks
No these are really light trucks. I've heard up to a 1000 grams lighter then the sct410.3. Least the prostar kit for the et410.2 to make it into this truck basically is that much lighter. And is recommended to run 540 in that.
Not a CAD person so while I wait for someone to put a .stl with the block battery stop, I cut a piece of wood the height and width of the battery pack and filled the space. Please let me know when the file is uploaded so I can make the build look a little more professional. Thanks in advance.

Just a thought on how the durability holds up against the arrma brand and if there will be a tekno speed rig with almost the same platform setup. Great review!!🏎️💨🏁👍
@Paul Clancy I'm learning about the difference between brands and quality through other channels just like this one...just doing my best to retain information on the distinct differences on my builds when I started 3yrs ago...I believe most rc parts are just as similar to 1:1. Thank you for the feedback you've given 👍
@@writedeanb the sct410.3 is based on 1/8th scale, it has 1/8th scale parts. This is based on 1/10th scale parts and its all from the same company, its objectively weaker than the previous version. It might be faster round a track because its lighter, but its a big downgrade. Especially when you factor in the price too.

To make this truck 2wd you could remove the front drive shaft, and put 20million fluid in the center diff. I might even try it myself.

It was also very windy that day down here.
Very windy and cold on test day. Was very difficult to do the drone footage due to the wind.

Yes as one of the motor mounting screws sits behind the spur when using smaller pinions

I'd still run a 550 size motor on a 4x4. That little 540 probably gets pretty hot and stains the battery.

Is it typical for racing SCs to lack dirt protection? It is painful to see interior in dirt, especially considering open central differential.

Two different companies produce for different people . No tekno not going make speed car , they build kits for racers, arrmas for basher non racers
Durable is there but cost twice as much
And have buy wheels body put together
But yes most would take this over a arrma senton. All day

Spicy, my 410.3 has 4700kv. Even that is nuts.
NOT durable, Rear bumper can break if you pickit up wrong. Front bulkhead breaks very easily
