- Join Andy in the Bon Appétit Test Kitchen as he makes BA's very best bolognese. It doesn’t take a lot of ingredients (or a lot of money) to make a classic Bolognese recipe. What it does take, though, is patience for the sauce to achieve the ideal authentic texture. You’re going to go low and slow-it’ll take around 3 hours, but most of that cook time is hands-off.

But I'm not going to lie, the editing they did for this episode is not as good as the rest if BA's videos. Must be a new editor. Either this is your first time watching a BA video or you are so unaware that you failed to see the type of videos that they put out. Either way, you can't just demand that a UA-cam channel make videos that conforms to you expectations. It's not a matter of whether it's your cup of tea or not. It's simply a different category of video, so if you want to know how to do a certain thing... find a recipe book or go watch strict food how to channels. Don't expect the channel that has grown a huge fan base consisting of youtubers who watches it for the staffs there (Brad, Claire, Andy, etc... ) to suddenly decide to take away the one thing that keeps that fan base around. Have a good night.

I’ve made Andy’s recipe 5-6 times since this video came out (it was my first Bolognese ever), and it is amazing. Everyone loves it. If you’re reading this and thinking about making it do it!
When they reuse the bit of him drinking water, the only thing I can focus on is the airplane taking off in the back.

Also i use 50/50 pork beef meat. Pork has more fat and adds more different flavor. In my opinions is a good substitute for bacon.
Estefany García I’ve tried a few other “famous” recipes but they are just not the same as this one! This one just comes together really well in terms of flavour and texture. The only ingredients I would change: if you prefer a more meaty and punchy flavour, use beef stock and red wine instead of chicken stock and white wine
