Funny you have the same Vanessa, I have 7 Apple trees in my garden and one has given any apples this year and that is the oldest one. Not one of the Pear, Cherry or Plum trees gave any fruit but they all flowered. But did have a ton of Blackberries, to many to even pick. As you say it is either to wet or to hot these days.

And, I didn't get anything from them for the last couple years. The sun is too hot for flowers or too much moisture causing mildew or viruses... the apple trees are having a rough time everywhere! The colder days and nights are drawing closer, I was out of action with temporary illness ☹️ for most of August so I'm rushing to get jobs finished outside now. Thanks for the update on your homestead.
Your garden is beautiful and it is wonderful your sons are growing some vegetables and learning where food comes from. I also am busy harvesting vegetables and apples and processing them for long term storage. In a few weeks the frost comes and the garden will rest in our long and cold winter here in Wisconsin USA.

Work with what you have sweetie. You can peel ,core and thin slice and dehydrate them to make fried apple pies.That is an old southern Mississippi recipe.
here in the southern united states, we have a lot of tomatoes. some years we have so many that we fry the green ones. you can saute' them in butter or dip them in egg wash and bread crumbs and fry them in oil. they taste like eggplant when cooked.

Okay so I did some research on these grapes and from what I understood the fragola grape is what we call Concord grape here in the USA.
